There's care in the freshly made patties where it all starts and I went w the recommendation of doing half spicy and half regular in my double meat and double cheese. There are ACTUAL peppers ground into the spicy patties which offers an amazing kick. The bun is also soft and slightly toasted w a little sweetness. The service is friendly and fast casual where you order at the counter before seating yourself. The crisp onion strings are a great option as well but the fries are a little too thick and soggy for my taste buds. Extremely long line but they are moving quickly. On the orders since they start right after you order you have to attend a waiting bay after you fund. Food is very fresh and well tasting. Was really craving burgers on my cheat day and decided to try this place out on a whim from my regular go to of Whataburger; and I'm glad I did!! I got the number 1 burger combo but ordered it spicy. It was one heck of a burger, with a slight burn from the spice that I absolutely loved. Burger was the perfect size, that was fresh and hot. Fries were also crispy and perfectly salted. Decided to try it on a whim with my boyfriend. First when we got our drinks (both sweet teas) it tasted old and spoilt , so we asked for something different. We then jot from their soda machine and even those had a funny taste. We ordered the spicy burger with Parmesan fries and the spicy Philly cheesesteak with the onion strings. The burger was alright, simple , not really spicy at all. The Philly cheesesteak was actually quite good, the bread was a lil soggy at the bottom from the grease and stuff, but it was a good sandwich. The Parmesan fries and strings were served in some large cups, i was surprised. The onion strings were simply and crispy , the bottom was full of grease though. Finally after all these years decided to stop in, only to find I waited too long. Order taker was very friendly, even acknowledged the fact that I am a veteran, but no discount offered there. She did offer me something to drink while I wait, choosing water. I ordered a double cheeseburger, but to customize it everything has a separate cost. Also a gyro and Onion sticks. Currently working out in the Sugar Land area I made it a point to come over to Tornado Burger. In short, it did not disappoint at all! Interior There is plenty of seating around inside and has your typical burger joint decor. This is your typical order and pick up at the counter establishment, but it runs smoothly. Service - 5* I did not wait too long to place my order and the food was ready in around 10 minutes. Food - 5* I ordered a spicy double cheeseburger (all the way) combo with fries and a drink. The burger was excellent. There is just the right amount of char on the burger while maintaining the juicy flavor. The fries are large slices, but not soggy or too cooked. Cost - 5* I think this place is great value especially given what you get in terms of the portion. It's evident this place knows what they are doing as the place kept a consistent stream of people coming and going while I was there. Overall - 5* This place is definitely a cut above most of the dozens of burger joints that litter the city and suburbs of Houston. I asked for the tzatziki sauce and feta cheese for my gyro to be on the side instead of on the gyro. They charged me $1.50 for that without telling me ahead of time. I came back to the order window to ask why, and the lady said it's for the little cups... Seriously, how petty is that? I asked its seriously $1.50 for the cups and she said yes... If you want stuff on the side so that you can put the stuff on yourself because they always massively overdo it with the tzatziki and feta, don't order here. For a well done burger, the burger here was juicy. Got a #1 and it was delicious. The burger was on point and the house or secret sauce (i got it on the side since j didn't know how it would taste) they had was great. The fries were solid and something about fries served in a cup make them feel so plentiful. Nothing about this meal left me upset (well my girl ordered a daiquiri which raised the total....but it too was good lol yes it tried her drink ) which is always a good thing. Pulled an hour before closing to get a little something to eat. The drive thru was around the building. I like the laid back atmosphere. Now the resturant was jacked up with a need some deep cleaning smell. There was a guy sweeping and mopping but maybe they should have gotten on it earlier instead at the closing hour. I would have given this place blaring stars, however, I'm huge with customer service. I visited here at 3:16pm 8/2/2022. I went thru the drive thru and spent $40 on burgers!! I wouldn't have minded spending $100 if the food is good! The drive thru wasn't packed and moved fairly quickly. I get to the speaker and a lady named ANGELA began shouting! It was clear she was having a bad day. It was my first time here so her line of questions sounded like she had been dealing with "regulars"... questions abt what's on the burger and what wasn't seemed to really tick her off! In addition, I explained to her that I couldn't hear her (I have some deafness in my right ear facing the drive thru speaker but she continued to disregard me! Once I got to the pay Window, I mentioned how rude she was and she said "IM DOING MY JOB"... I then asked her for her name and she said, " YOU DONT NEED TO KNOW MY NAME, NOW GO PULL AROUND AND WAIT FOR UR FOOD!" She spoke to me as if I was her child!!
