At 6 the doors were finally opened to sit down and hear about the season. It is now 6:15. The organ is still playing; there is no evidence of someone coming out to talk about the '26-'27 season. There are vendors in the lobby, selling beer, water, wine, popcorn. Nothing complimentary. 6:32 and the first speakers have appeared. Very disorganized. The presentation was a bit lengthy, but very nice. Each of the seven shows in the subscriber series was introduced. Guest artists performed songs from two musicals in the subscription: "Sound of Music" and "The Great Gatsby". There are three additional shows which are not part of the subscription, but to which subscribers can purchase tickets ahead of the general public. The presentation lasted about an hour.

If you had a day in Buffalo, this is one of the places you would want to check out. The shows I have been to here over the years are always well done. The staff are always so helpful and genuinely seem happy to be there. I am not a big theatre person so it's great to have them there to make sure I am in the right place and not committing any theatre mistakes. The concessions here are pretty decently priced. There is a good variety of drinks and snack options. As someone who generally goes to the movies more than the theatre, I was pleasantly surprised with the options. This space is beautiful. It makes you feel like you've stepped back in time but in the best way. The architecture alone is a reason to come check out this spot, but stay for a show and enjoy!

The plays used to be full length and entertaining but the past two seasons have been like the whole organization is circling the drain. Everything from super short performances to one woman shows to bad and boring subject matter. In addition, now they have lost their lease with Damien Collage, had a failed attempt at using taxpayer money to move to another location in Amherst and are now moving to downtown Buffalo with no free parking and a risk of personal safety. We feel this last season was worth less than 50% of what they charged us. For all these reasons we are not renewing our season tickets. Based on the half empty seats it's obvious that other season ticket holders also don't feel it's worth it anymore.

When I made arrangements to attend a show using tickets I won from a fundraiser in support of Roswell the woman on the phone wasn't the best communicator and a bit rude. When I finally chose a showtime the woman said only certain seats were available as the show was "sold out" but when I attended the show there was an entire row of empty seats. No wonder they keep her locked up in the box office and not on the floor for shows! The bar staff was really great and made some good drinks. There was a small variety of snacks as well. I'll be back to give this place another go...

The food was OK at best and the portion sizes were very inconsistent. Our server was not as attentive as one would like, he finally brought our salads and we had to stop him to have him get us silverware to eat with. Also, while standing at the bar, I heard the lady checking tickets say something to the bartender about being aware of underage people here. What I didn't like were the drink prices and cleverly hidden fees. I ordered 2 drinks at the bar so I could sit and enjoy the show. It was $29 and they were 8 oz glasses. I barely drink and did not feel a drop of alcohol. I couldn't believe I paid that PLUS tip for basically some juice. I realized what they did when I got home: they gave me 2 receipts ... the top being merchant copy. Merchant copy had my price for the drinks and area to sign and tip. I shoved the other copy in my pocket and when I got home, I realized they charged a 2% management fee AND another 18% fee. So with my tip, I paid an additional 40% total. Yikes. Not worth it. It's frustrating to think that an hour of music from a local band and 2 drinks has become difficult to afford, when it used to be a regular thing for me when I was young and didn't have much. Anyway, more of what I liked: Venue was clean and seats clearly labeled. They had a QR code right at your seat to order food and drink so you didn't have to get up once in your seat. I didn't order any food, but others did around me, and it looked good. Back to what I didn't like: I paid for a premium seat and it was the worst seat in the house. It was at the corner of the stage (the only stage side seat left) and I could not see almost the entire band! There were 4 men up front I did not see at all until the next day when they posted pictures. I thought "ok so that's what they look like". And ironically in those photos. You couldn't see the only 2 people I could see from my seat: I could only see 2/3 of the drummer with the curtain next to me. The only real view of anyone I had was the bass player. If I just stared at him, that would feel creepy lol so I looked at the stage floor often. Do not sit where I sat in the corner of the stage. I could somewhat see the video screen, but there was a slight lag and threw off what was playing versus what you were seeing. I guess if I came here again, I would have to have a seat available center stage, and would skip the drinks and opt for food due to the high cost. Maybe the food would feel like more bang for the buck. Watch the 20% total fees they'll getchya! I feel the venue is well-managed otherwise.

It is an in the round theatre, there are about 3 rows of seating around the theatre, and it is wonderful. I have a hard time going to the bigger theatres, because I am so used to seeing the actors' faces and expressions and seeing spit fly out of their mouths. That is what makes theatre special, like you are part of the play. As I age, I prefer the smaller, more intimate theatres. Irish Classical has a bar that you can bring in your items during the performance, which is nice. All of the ushers and everyone with Irish Classical are friendly and helpful.  The plays are all from Irish playwrights and they are great. The sets are magical and they transport you into the scene. This allowed us the time to check out their beautiful lobby bar. Our bartender, Nicholas, was great. Friendly, quick, and informative. As we chatted, he told us about the option to put in a drink order now that would be ready and waiting for us at intermission. We decided to do that. It was nice coming at and having our drink already prepared (and prepaid). These were served in plastic cut so you could bring them back into the theater. Seating was comfortable with plenty of legroom. The playbill was on your seat waiting for you. They encourage recycling with the playbill. Last note. I appreciate receiving an email the day before the play with 'housekeeping' notes. Biggest was the fact that there is major construction surrounding the theater (changes to Main St and the train tracks) which limited parking. .
