The Chips and Queso

Torchy's is my favorite place to eat tacos and they have very good queso. The service is always good. The food seems to hit the spot when you need a good meal. The variety of tacos on offer are fantastic and has something for everyone. I highly recommend Torchy's tacos the next time you are hungry for some tacos.

The queso is so good and always comes out warm with the chips. The tacos are yummy but they always come out cold. The cheese is never melted and the inside of the taco is also cold. Service is always fast and their fountain drinks are the best. Ambiance is nice and the tables are clean

This location is a little bit of a trainwreck not gonna lie. Employees are super hit or miss. Some are very nice and you can tell are hustling to go the extra mile for the guests, while others are rude, slow, and don't get your order correct. Was the marg good - yes. Was the $2 off happy hour on all classic menu drinks a good deal - for sure. But was my order made quickly and correctly - no. I ordered a strawberry and lime frozen swirl marg and what came out was just strawberry. Don't know if I will be going back.

Torchy's is back baybee! Asking for the secret menu is a game-changer. My favorite is probably the Matador. The chips with queso were also a banger. This is a certified Texas classic! Probably the best brick and mortar taco restaurant out there.

Still the better location out of the others. Hands down great breakfast tacos! Eggs are so delicious with juicy chorizo. Chips and dips, love them especially diablo sauce. The hog father was great. Also had breakfast burrito, amazing. Honestly wouldn't go wrong with any of their tacos, but make sure to change to corn tortilla. Most of them comes with default flour tortilla, no bueno. They would forget even though you request for corn tortilla. Sit outside on a nice day, otherwise inside has a bar with tv. It is quick service and decently fast. Will be back!

Tots that are supposed to have queso and bacon. This is the pic of my cold tots with no queso

Went to Torchys at 6:15 at night. The order was incorrect and the food was cold. Beware.

I'm not sure if this location was having an off day or if they were swamped with online orders but I received my food way after the given pick up time and the food quality wasn't really there. (There were only 2 parties seated) I know tacos and to go don't make sense and time deteriorates quality but I literally drove 3 minutes down the road after picking up the food so I wonder if my food sat there as well. Queso was cold, tacos were cold, just a miss overall Only added an extra star because the cashier was nice enough to give me a free drink after waiting as long as I did.

The last time we came here, it was a disaster to say the least. The GM, Mr. Ramsey promised $30 in gift cards to make it right, but when we showed up again, they only left us 3 free taco cards.... about $14 total. We gave the restaurant another shot, but it was just as bad, if not worse. The bartender spent the entire time focused on her closing duties, and it felt like we had to chase her down for everything. Then there were the margaritas.... Usually great.... absolutely terrible. They weren't on tap, so they were handmade, but the bartender said the sweet and sour mix was messed up. Her solution? Just pour agave into the drinks. Needless to say, they were gross af!!! I'll never come back to this Torchy's location again. Two strikes, and they're out.

we ordered our food about an hour ahead of time for pick up. we got there and waited 25 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. even after the line had gone down, no one checked on us. another 15 minutes go by, when we realize ordering ahead wasn't really a service they were good at offering. When we brought it up to management they were unapologetic, and told us because we ordered a popular dish, the wait times were longer. that's fine, but how about the way you ignore your customers? not cool. we opted to eat at the restaurant but ALL available tables were dirty.

Walk in to a Kiosk already dont like it and confused about what I just ordered. The bowls for the quest are twice as small from before. No receipt was printed out. Chicken in my taco is smaller then before. Probably won't be back

However, this time I had something I hadn't tried before, which was the portobello torta, check the pic posted here, but I warn you, if a pic says 1k words, then a taste says a bagillion words (is that even English ?). But that's what happens when umami meets Mexican bliss. When your order is taken with pleasure and prepared before your eyes at this bustling establishment, it's flair mixed with fair. Go check out what has me coming back for more, time and time again. As I left, with my road tacs, the owner reminded me that the food travels well, I neglected to inform her that I didn't expect them to make it very far . Again, it's a must see scene here at Plantaqueria- hope to see y'all there.

(It had Just Egg but I think other things added with it. It felt that it was softer and lighter than if it was only Just Egg) and pico de gallo on handmade flour tortilla. We were surprised by how much we enjoyed it. Their two self-serve complementary salsas were also fun and creamy. Concha- Delicious and we liked the top of it. Maybe one of our favorite conchas. Elote hot cake - Came out really hot and was delicious. These are only available on weekends. I was tempted to get more but we had lots more food targets on the schedule. Torta with Asada was pretty good too. But the other items excited me more I think. The person at the front also gave us some samples of other taco fillings to try: the fillings of the La Ranchera: Potatoes and pico de gallo in salsa ranchera and also grilled nopales. My husband who is usually not as crazy as me about nopales liked them here. They have mole on the weekends but it's not housemade from scratch. They use premade mole and add some more things to it so we skipped that one. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!

That's exactly the energy at Los Weyes de la Asada. From the second you walk up, it feels alive. Not in a forced way, more like you've been there before, even if it's your first time. The kind of place where your stress, your diet, even your cruda takes a backseat. Now the food. No overthinking needed here. Everything coming out of that truck is a straight up pow pow of flavor. The carne is cooked just right, juicy with that perfect char, and the corn tortillas are legit, soft but with enough structure to hold everything together. I ordered the Mamón and the Chingón, and honestly, both lived up to the names. No misses. And the agua fresca de fresa? That sealed it. They serve it in a little bolsita, which somehow makes it hit even better. Simple, nostalgic, and just cool. It's all tucked inside El Camino, which adds to the whole vibe, string lights, people hanging out, that easygoing outdoor feel where you lose track of time a little.

The smell alone made me think we were in for something special. We grabbed a couple of cocktails and ordered tacos, which seemed like the obvious choice. The tacos were good, but that's about where I'd leave it. They weren't bad at all, but they also weren't particularly memorable. With the aroma coming from the grill and all the recommendations I'd heard, I was expecting a little more flavor and a bigger wow factor. The atmosphere was fun, the service was good, and the charcoal grill definitely adds to the experience. I just found the food itself to be more "solid" than "spectacular." I'd rate it about a 7 out of 10. Worth trying if you're already at El Camino, but not a place I'd go out of my way for.

My wife and I use to frequent this place YEARS ago, the service was good and the food was good,…read moreyears later we decided to go back & mannn the food quality & service has went down terribly! Pulled up on a Friday late night with my family ordered the standard 5 tacos. They are a bit pricey as well. I ordered the carne Asada and my mother in law ordered the chicken. While it did seem like it tasted good it was super greasy. (TMI coming up) When I woke up the next morning my I noticed my bowels were literally moving the next day, (I counted about 9 times). I felt bloated and everything. My wife even told me that as we were pulling off she witnessed the cook I believe his name is Julio eating some of the product while he was preparing peoples food (the side door of the food truck was open so you could see right in). Funny enough we decided to go back Saturday evening to give them another try, thinking it would be better, BOY was we wrong. I ordered the same order plus charro Beans, elote (corn in a cup) and 3 cans of sprite. This time we took literally one bite and the meat was DRYER than the Saharan desert both the carne asada and the chicken. (Tasted like some reheated old meat or meat that had been made days prior). We were already at the hotel at this point and was infuriated!!! We ended up calling and I believe I spoke to Julio (or whoever the cook is) over the phone. After lying saying that he cooked the meat fresh that day he stuttered I told him aint no way the meat was fresh. He then said and I quote " I cooked the meat "a couple days ago" then said "sorry I burnt it or overcooked it". (Knowing that why would you serve that to me?) I then stated "yes it tasted old period". I requested a refund in which he agreed to. Driving all the way back I brought the food back as well. Julio (or whoever the cooks name is) tried to plead his case to me saying that the meat is fresh and took a fork and tasted the food himself and then tried to offer me the food. I told him "no I don't want to taste it, just refund me please" in which he did. Dishonesty, Not handling food with care, lying. Is something that crosses the line and I won't be back. *Also if the owner is reading this I have the phone conversation recorded and the video evidence to show proof this whole interaction, so do not just glaze over this review* I don't like writing bad reviews, but this one is for sure warranted. Seems like they will dress up the taco and selling you some "old meat" people just be careful and mindful when coming to this taco truck. "The Earths Best Taco" they say... that's a stretch!

So...disappointing!…read more I came to this spot with family who raved about the tacos being lowkey almost like we back in LA. Welp, I ordered 1 chicken and 1 Carne Asada and also Charro Beans. The chicken was fresh and so flavorful, but the Carne Asada was bland and even a little dry. However, the Charro beans were on point and so flavorful. I heard they have been at this location for a long time and my fam used to frequent here back in the day. What disappoints was my fam got sick from the Carne Asada. The next day we ordered chicken again and they were stale and old from two days prior. This was confirmed by the staff. They were offered my fam a refund. Ugggh... so disappointing. You can't claim to be the best and serve old meat. That's a no no.

I ordered the chicken mushroom plate, and all the flavors were bold and well balanced. For drinks, I highly recommend the Jardin Eden. The fusion of lavender, blueberry, fruity liqueurs, and aromatic herbs made it one of the best cocktails I've had in a while. My only complaint was the service.
