There are so many locations that offer breakfast tacos, perhaps better but they hold their own in my opinion. I ordered the Wrangler which was tasty and hearty enough to stop at just one. Torchy's, a franchised fast-casual taco restaurant serves decent tacos/burritos and pretty good cheese dips. True to their fast-casual concept, the service was quite fast and the quality of ingredients was more on the subpar side but I suppose that's typical of big-chain franchise brands. I recently visited this location and had a great experience with the customer service. Crystal, I believe that's her name, was exceptionally friendly and attentive. She ensured my order was correct and checked in on me throughout my meal. The restaurant is spacious, with ample tables and it's very clean. You can order at the counter on the kiosks or with a staff member. I ordered the BYO breakfast taco and chose potatoes, beans, and eggs. I also paid extra for avocado. To my disappointment, the "potatoes" were three fried tater tots, and my avocado slice was tiny. I wish the menu descriptions were more accurate because if I knew "potatoes" meant tater tots, I would not have chosen that as one of my choices. My taco tasted okay. The tortillas are a decent blend of softness and flexibility and held the fillings well. I would recommend Torchy's for three reasons: their half sized dips, the fact that they have all-day breakfast tacos/burritos, and their late hours (Sunday-Thursday 8am-10pm and Friday-Saturday 8am-11pm). The dips come in two sizes: full and half. The Queso dip is addictive. While the service was great and the dips are good, the subpar ingredients left me feeling... eh. I might revisit this place in the distant future when I'm starving, it's a cheat day, and no other nearby restaurants are open. read more

I was surprised to see so many negative review. The couple of times I've been, food has been good, consistent and tasty. I ordered the republican, trailer park trashy and steak fajita. All of them were vibrant looking and tasted pretty good. Plenty of protein and fillings. I did not care for the queso n chips. Not my preference and the cheese was not appetizing. Counter service. This is one of our favorite locations. It's always clean, staff are always very attentive and our food always tastes good. My kids have all types of special requests so I appreciate the self-order pods and staff have always come and asked if we need help with anything. I did have to wait a little while past my pickup time before my order was ready, but it wasn't a bid deal, though I was surprised it didn't come out quicker because it was nearly empty in there. My favorite taco is no longer there, it seems they replaced the original "Republican" that had a sausage link in it with something else. Really disappointed about that. However, they still have my second favorite item which is their queso! For tacos I decided to try "Tipsy Chick" and "Scallywag." The Tipsy Chick was good and the spinach at least made it feel somewhat healthy lol. While I like coconut shrimp on its own, the Scallywag was not it for me, too tangy for my personal taste. Unlikely I will go back to Torchy's, except for their breakfast tacos, until they bring back the original Republican taco. read more

We ordered vegetarian tacos which include crispy potatoes, egg, and cheese on flour tortilla, fried avocado, queso and chips, and tots. The queso is delicious, and we can't stop eating. Not a big fan of the fried avocados, but the crispy potatoes, egg, and cheese taco was ok. At first they gave us tots with meat on them, but they changed it after we told them we were eating vegetarian. I was surprise that there were very few customers for a Saturday morning though and it was Mother's Day weekend but service was pretty quick since few customers. Torchy's is good if you want something quick. The Hillbilly Queso is good and my go to is the Democrat. I use the queso I order to make it trashy. The margaritas are really good and we always add a Grand Marnier floater. They have a good happy hour from 3-6, which includes $1 off tacos and $2 off drinks, and they have drink specials every day including the weekends. My biggest complaint would be the service, it's always hit or miss. read more

I would recommend the trail or park tacos on flour I hold the pico and peppers. The ranch hand is also a good choice on flour with the poblano sauce instead of diablo. I hate to be "that person" but here we go! We've been coming here ever since this location opened, and it's always hit or miss! I ordered to-go food at 1:10pm in the app, and had a confirmation time of 1:25 to pickup the food. I got there at 1:30pm, thinking it would definitely be waiting for me. I was sorely disappointed, especially since I tip 20% in advance! No one asked for my name to see if my order was ready or coming up soon, nor did they really seem to care. Just kept avoiding eye contact and hoping everything was okay. Greeting people, and asking the name on the order at least would show you cared at all! After waiting another 14 minutes, my order finally came out. Sorry about that was all the consolation received. If this place happens to close down one day because of the poor/apathetic service, I will simply say "Sorry about that" and find another place to give my patronage to. read more

This was my first time at Torchy's and I truly enjoyed it. We enjoyed a Tex-Mex dining experience with a large variety of tacos--but I was pleasantly surprised with one: the brisket taco. My dish consisted of two generous mouth-watering chunks of slow-cooked brisket on a flour tortilla, with a side of fluffy Mexican rice and a Jarritos mandarin-flavored soda. In relation to the service, it was on point with the young lady at the front going over their menu with finesse, and the runner who brought all of our meals was caring and served us well. Too bad it's fast food and they don't take tips! With regard to the location, it stands in a small but new shopping strip mall. The decor is casual and colorful, and, that Thursday night it was full to the rim with happy people but they weren't loud! I look forward to returning during my next trip to Richmond and trying some other items from their menu. read more

Their food has been so fresh and really good. All the tacos and quesadillas that I've tried, loved them all. My kid, who is a very picky eater, has been a big fan of their chicken quesadillas from their kids menu. I've tasted it and its really very delicious. Its so much better than those fried food that kids crave for. I'm so glad that they are there just in the neighborhood. We have been a regular here, especially to get their kids quesadillas. This place has a very fun vibe with indoor and a cute outdoor seating area. I've never dine in here but the place looks great. As for the service, there has been some hiccups here and there. Once I ordered over phone and my hubby got their to pick up. But food was not ready on time. And they couldn't find my order. It got sorted out but it took a while. From next time, we have been ordering online and it has been smooth so far. Would be good to see them improving their phone order service as well. Considering that they are fairly new at this location and probably a logistic error, I'd still give them 5 stars. For their staff has been nice, errors are understandable. This isn't my favorite Torchy's location. I'm not sure why but this location always takes so long. I've tried both dine-in and to go, doesn't make a difference. Always waited a really long time. My go tos are the shrimp and fried avocado tacos. Queso also if I'm really hungry. I didn't take photos of the tacos because by the time we got them we were so hungry and immediately ate them. 3 of us completely finished the chips, still had queso left but ran out of chips :( I don't know if you're able to ask for more and if there's a charge. We just wait for our food, didn't want to ruin our appetites. While we sat down, we noticed people coming in for their to go orders. We finally got our chips and queso, eventually got our tacos, ate, visited, left and those people were still waiting on their to go orders. First time at a Torchy's - was told that it was a great place with great food. So we ordered 3 Republican tacos, a ranch hand breakfast taco, a grande burrito, rice and Chips and Hillbilly Queso combo. The republican tacos were great and the ranch hand breakfast taco was fantastic as well. Chips and Queso combo was probably our favorite - it was perfectly made. The problem is with the rest - first they charged me for rice however I did not get any rice - went back and got a substitute - what I thought was a taco replacement similar to the republican, I instead got what looked like a kids meal type of taco. Finally, the one that sealed the deal and I attached a picture which you can see is my grande Burrito - I ordered it "Make it Trashy", no guacamole, no rice and no beans....instead I got a order with little to no "Make it Trashy" and WITH guacamole and rice. The store manager told me they ran out of rice but apparently they had enough to put it in my burrito which I did not want to include it with..... Could have been better, not sure if I'll go back - if I do it'll be for the chips and queso - along with the breakfast tacos instead. read more

Came in for breakfast tacos this morning and it took me going to the restroom for the worker to notice us and come attend us at the counter. Our breakfast tacos were mediocre at best. The egg seemed to be the only thing that was cooked. Our tortillas were cold and fell apart easily.
