Here's a polished, friendly, Yelp‑ready version that keeps your voice but tightens the flow and adds a little shine: --- We enjoyed a really nice lunch at the Pearland Torchy's. The service was right on point -- great timing, smooth delivery, and everything arrived just as we were ready for it. We started with chips and queso, which had a spicy little kick and was really tasty. Our tacos came out next, filled generously with flavorful chicken and fresh toppings. My husband ordered a margarita (he let me sneak a sip -- delicious), while I went with an orange Jarritos, which paired perfectly with the meal. Everything was good, the pacing was great, and we genuinely enjoyed the experience. read more

I have been to torchy's many times. This location was terrible. They didn't customize any order and when brought to the attention of employees, they really didn't want to help. Queso was cold and tacos were cold. This place ain't it. read more

I had the perfect pickup experience at Torchy's today. The restaurant wa clean and not too busy. I ordered my food online, walked in three minutes before my scheduled pickup time and walked out, order in hand, 1 minute before my scheduled pickup time. This location has perfected their online pick up game. Bravo! My combo fajita plate and 1/2 order of chips and queso were fresh and delicious. The fajitas had a smoky mesquite taste to them, all veggies were fresh, beans and rice were delicious. The chips were crispy/fresh and the queso tasty. The fajita plate is a great deal for $11, a couple dollars extra to add protein. They say it's around for a limited time but it's been around a while now and hopefully they'll make it a regular menu item. read more

I know I live in the land of great, authentic Mexican food, but sometimes fusion places like Torchy's Tacos just hits. I've been a big fan since their origins in Austin and was more than excited when this Pearland location opened up. My son was in town and requested Torchy's for dinner and I finally got around to checking it out. This location is located in East Pearland in a large shopping strip so parking is plentiful. I can't really speak on the customer service because we ordered at a kiosk in the front. The young man that brought out our food was very friendly though. One thing you must absolutely get here is their queso in any of their preparations. It's addicting. I like the Hillbilly Queso which is their Green Chile Queso but upgraded with chorizo. It's a perfect balance of cheese with a little bit of heat. It's one of the better quesos in the game. Here, it was tasty but a little runny on the day we had it. I've had breakfast options at other locations, but typically stick with a two specific tacos almost on all occasions. My all time fave is the Trailer Park. It's fried chicken and green chiles with a poblano sauce. Simple, but good. My second fave is the Brushfire. Completely different flavor profile with jerk chicken, grilled jalapenos and mango. I'm usually not a fan of sweet and savory combos, but this works. This one packs heat with their diablo sauce. Here, they were not bad by any means, but it just wasn't fresh tasting. Everything felt like it wasn't fresh. I honestly feel like I caught them on a bad day because it didn't leave us very satisfied after the meal. I'll give them another try and update if needed. I'm sure I'll be back at some point. read more

Torchy's Tacos - Rude service. Incorrect order. - Tacos Near Me - Pearland, Texas

Haven't been to a Torchy's in years. Very disappointed that I have broken that run. Customer service, 3 of 10: (1) Cashier tries to upsell by recommending me to add cheese to the baja shrimp tacos I ordered - no thank you. Told her that the shrimp tacos were for my two-year-old, so requested that she notes to the cook to not make them spicy. Shrimp tacos came out topped with generous (the only generous gesture I got from Torchy's, other than from one of the food runners) amounts of spicy, picked onions. Asked the cashier for cups for my family of three to drink water, she hands one small cup. Had to ask for another. (2) Waited 20 minutes for two beef, two shrimp tacos, and a side of beans and rice. This was at a time when there were but six seated tables and two customers, including me, at the register. (3) The first food runner was kind. Offered to assist with anything else I might need. Asked him for forks. Told me that they were available next to the fountain, but still offered to grab one for me. (4) Second food runner came out with the cup of beans and rice. Thanked her for it, and she responds with an indifferent "Yea." Food, 5 of 10. (1) Shrimp cooked nicely, but there was hardly much to enjoy. One four dang pieces of medium shrimp per taco, along with sparsely sprinkled queso fresco, lightly scattered carrots, and lots of pickled, spicy onions. Very disappointing for a $6 taco. Could've paid less for more at the taco truck near my house. (2) Steak fajita tacos tasted decent, but, similar to the shrimp tacos, the portions of meat and toppings were similar to that of a taquito, rather than regular size taco. Felt like I was eating an appetizer. (3) Beans were decent. Rice was mushy, kind of like school cafeteria rice. When I asked the cashier what kind of rice is used for the rice and beans combo side, she said it could either be their Mexican rice or their cilantro lime rice. Well, duh, I can see that both rice are offered on the menu. Do they just alternate between Mexican rice and cilantro lime rice for their rice and beans side or what? Overall experience, 2 of 10. Majority of workers robotically do their jobs. Hardly any enthusiasm for customers, except for the one food runner. Taste of food was decent. Price of tacos is unjustifiable given their size. Mystery rice was mushy. Not a good look for a chain restaurant. read more

I normally have good food at this franchise, but this location was a waste of my money. We ordered hillbilly dip, quesadillas, Baja taco and brush fire taco. Torchy's tiny tacos. Got takeout tonight. It was about 10 o'clock and, admittedly, they were cleaning up and getting ready to shut the place down. Got home and opened up the foil packs to find the daintiest floppy tacos (very little filling) we've ever had at Torchy's. Not sure what happened. But it was not up to Torchy's normal standards. Just hoping that this is not become a new normal standard. Was pretty surprising. read more

The customer service and timeliness at this location are unacceptable. I've repeatedly ordered pickups only to wait at least 10 minutes beyond the scheduled time. Despite this, I continued to visit because I enjoy the tacos. Last Friday, I placed an order expected to be ready at 6:54 pm I arrived at 7:15 after grocery shopping, and my order was still not ready. The bartender checked on the order and it wasn't ready yet , I let her know it was supposed to be ready 20 minutes earlier, her attitude was literally like- oh well. The cashier offered the same indifferent response after she checked. When 7:25 approached and my order still wasn't ready, I decided to cancel--just two tacos and some queso mind you. Surprisingly, the order was suddenly ready after she went to the back to cancel. As I turned to leave, she forced out, "Sorry for the wait, would you like a drink," if I did I would've ordered it.. I also had to return and ask for the avocado sauce I asked her for when I first walked in. Over 30 minutes for preordered tacos and queso is simply inexcusable. Another time the young guy at the counter literally wanted to hold my phone to verify my name matched when I was picking up my parents' tacos. Smh, I'm pretty sure I was being racially profiled. read more

We came to Torchy's for happy hour. I like Torchy's. I've been (not to this location) but other locations many times. The look and feel is pretty similar to other Torchy's locations except that this one did NOT have wine. So we took our food to go as it was dinner time on Friday and I wanted wine with mine. I typically get tacos but decided to get the Airstream Salad and I added salmon, dressing on the side. It was REALLY good. If you're really in the mood for some greens, this is a good choice. We sat at the bar while we waited for our food. The bartender was excellent. My husband got a happy hour margarita and we shared some queso. Also very good. If I could, I would give this Torchy's 3.5 stars. read more

Oh Torchy's, I was so excited to welcome you to Pearland, but you have let me down today. I'm not mad, I'm disappointed *spoken in my best motherly tone* I made a point to wait a few weeks to let the hype calm down before ordering from this location. I placed an order on the app this morning for one taco (The Wrangler, my favorite). The default order time is 15 minutes. I placed the order without any issues. About 7 minutes in, the status of the order was still in progress. Perfect. At the 15 minute mark, my order was ready. Awesome! I was going to be in and out and on my way. Well what should have been a quick stop turned into an hour ordeal. When I arrived, there were not any orders in the pick up area. There were a few people waiting. I overheard a few people say they had been waiting 20-30 minutes. I figured that they're still working out the kinks since it's a new location. I patiently waited and watched the people who were there before me finally get their orders. After about 30 minutes, I noticed people who came in after me left before me. I eventually went to the cashier to check on the order. The young lady was able to look up my order in the system and radio to the kitchen to expedite my order. In the meantime, people were picking up large orders while I was still waiting on one taco. After about another 10 minutes, I asked an employee who had just dropped off food about my order and they said they would expedite it again. A few minutes later, I asked another employee who dropped off more orders to check on it. There were some apologies about the wait, but still no taco. At some point, an employee asked me my name and said that my order showed as ready and that someone must have picked it up. I have no idea if someone took my food, if they accidentally gave my food to someone else, or if they completely dropped the ball and missed my order. All I know is that the entire time I was waiting, they never called my name and I arrived right when the order was supposed to be ready. Eventually a young man said they found the ticket and said they were making my taco. I normally don't ask for extras but I was irritated and annoyed so I asked him for some chips and queso and to speak to the manager (which I never do). The manager came out immediately and apologized. I then asked the manager for chips and queso or something extra for the hour long wait. He said yes without hesitation. When they finally brought my food out, the manager apologized again and said he refunded me. He said it should take about an hour for the refund to show, but it hasn't yet. I'm guessing it will be a day or two before I get the refund. I was happy that he did that, as I wasn't expecting it. I'm kind of annoyed that I had to ask for extra food, but I'm happy that they owned the mistake and tried to make it right. Y'all know I'm a service person. Had it not been for the service recovery, this would straight up be a 1-star review. My food was tasty (as always), but I missed a meeting waiting an hour for one taco. Torchy's, your tacos may be "damn good" but the speed of your service isn't. Fix it please, and do better. read more

I loved my free BD queso. I think one of the best I've ever had! Surprisingly, no line on a Saturday afternoon. My salmon tacos were delicious and my house margarita was pretty good. Absolutely terrible! Don't waste your time or your money. Went in midday around 3 o'clock ordered two tacos and a beer the girl working the counter said I'll bring you the beer. I went and sat down, looking around at only three or four other tables in the restaurant that were all waiting for food. The girl walked back-and-forth a few times checking her phone and speaking to the one gentleman that was sitting at the bar nearly 10 minutes went by and I finally got up and walked over and said can I get that beer please she proceeds to say oh I'm so sorry. I'm the only one here and I'm so busy. Went back sat down drink the entire beer and noticed that 30 minutes had passed and I had yet to receive two tacos was about to get up and go complain to the manager and ask for my money back as the tacos arrived Luke warm and no flavor. Great food. Loved the queso and tots. Food tasty and abundant. Service was wonderful and helpful, big menu we needed help. Clean

Foods great, but don't order a drink at the counter and think you can sit at the bar. If you don't sit at the bar and order your first drink you're not allowed to sit there, "bc of tips" is what the bartender said when we tried to sit down after we ordered. Makes absolutely no sense. Could have ordered more drinks and tipped but not after that crap.also not a line of people waiting to sit at the bar, so again makes absolutely no sense. You're hurting yourself with the tips with that one. read more

Torchy's Tacos was at the forefront of a revolution. What type of revolution? A creative taco revolution. This Austin transplant takes the delicious taco and puts a spin on it with ingredients you wouldn't usually find in a taco like fried chicken. I was excited to hear that they were opening up their first location in my own backyard: Pearland. I heard about the grand opening through a post on Facebook. I made my way on Tuesday for dinner. As you would expect at a new spot, it was packed. The post I had seen on Facebook advertised two free tacos and a margarita as part of their grand opening. However, the post was poorly written and was simultaneously advertising two different events. The post wasn't clear and it was only until I was ordering at the counter that I was told the promotion was for a day that had passed. Once I showed the post on my phone to the cashier, the manager showed up and a little back and forth ensued. The manager ended up giving me the two tacos free of charge but not the marg. I would have hoped for everything since the mistake wasn't made on my part but it is what it is. Beyond their tacos, Torchy's is known for their queso. It has a kick to it so be prepared for queso that's different that what you're accustomed to. The chips were fresh and they even gave us a bag to-go since we didn't finish the queso which was a nice touch. One of my tacos was one of their most popular menu items: The Democrat. Which you can make trashy which means they add cheese. Throw cheese on anything, I'm always down. And they serve breakfast tacos all-day which is a nice touch! This location, like most new spots, has a couple of kinks to work out. Torchy's aren't my favorite creative tacos in town, but I appreciate the impact they've had on Houston's dining scene. read more

Service quick and great . Ambiance not much going on nice and calm . Now the food if you're raza if you're mexican respectfully these tacos are not it, I haven't been to torchys in a while because I just think there tacos are overpriced and overrated.Today was a point proven tacos were cold no flavor and just not great tacos . I'd recommend to try if you're a taco lover but if you're looking for great flavor whether it's authentic or not go somewhere else . I wouldn't come back go to Edgebrook and 45 for tacos at the Taco Trucks respectfully. read more

This is a fast casual spot where you order at the counter and the food gets delivered to your table. I ordered the brushfire taco and the trailer park taco, "trashy style". Came to this location for the first time and it was a packed house. I didn't want to take the food to go and it not being the same. I opted to eat outside because there was no seating inside and I could not seat my baby at the bar. The lady at the register was kind enough to get some one to bring the high chair outside for me. I had their regular queso, the fried shrimp taco and the barbacoa taco. Both tasted as good as the other ones so no complaints on flavor. My only complaint that I do have is that I remember Torchy's double wrapping the tacos and this time I only received one corn tortilla per taco. I like them being double wrapped because I would usually split the filling and make an additional taco. If there isn't an extra tortilla you have leftover filling you have to eat with your fingers which isn't ideal. Overall Torchy's taste like Torchy's and when I get the craving I will come back hopefully when it's less crowded or the hype has died down for this new location: read more
