That said, there are a couple of operational issues that keep showing up. The biggest one is the setup at the front. The concession area creates a bottleneck right when you walk in. When it gets even a little busy, everything backs up and it feels unnecessarily crowded. On top of that, there's usually only one person scanning tickets. So now you've got a line for concessions and a line for ticket scanning all stacked on top of each other, which makes the entrance feel disorganized and chaotic. It honestly feels like they underestimated how much traffic they'd get. Adding more concession staff or rethinking that layout--and having more than one person scanning tickets--would go a long way in improving the overall experience. I like the theater itself, but they've got some flow and staffing issues to work through. Once they tighten that up, this could easily be one of the better movie spots around.

It is between a large parking garage and a performance venue. We parked across the street. They said something about validating parking in the garage 'unless there is a concert', so I'd opt for parking outside the garage to be safe from fees. The theater itself is unusually vertical. You enter at ground level, but some / all of the actual theaters are up one or more levels. I think they had at least 9 screens, though (from looking at reserving seats online) some of the theaters are quite small. You can (and probably should) reserve seats ahead of time, as they have the recliner setup here. Prices were not bad (about $12 per ticket + $2 for online fees). The theater (as of April 2026) is still new, so it smells more like new furniture versus old popcorn. Which was nice. This will definitely be added to the list of likely movie venues for us.

The experience was memorable. The negative comes from the cleanliness. The theater was filthy. All of the trash cans I passed from the lobby to the entrance of my theater room were overflowing. Upon finding my seat, there was a hunk of trash next to my seat. Seeing the condition of the establishment, I dared not use the restroom. If they improve on sanitation, I would definitely increase the rating. I hope I just went on an understaffed or bad night.

In other words, you don't know what you're seeing until it starts playing! I found this to be really exciting. The staff behind the concession stand were all kind and friendly, and the entire theater felt clean and comfy. I worried about our seats because we were only 3 rows from the front, and I get migraines if I'm too close, typically opting for the very back row... but since the chairs reclined, I was actually okay! My chicken tenders were hot and crispy and really hit the spot, along with the fries. I loved the mango habanero dipping sauce I chose as well. Our movie ended up being "Hunting Matthew Nichols," a documentary-style mystery-horror, modern day homage to The Blair Witch Project. It's a slow burn, but an enjoyable one. We had a great time and look forward to attending more of these!

We went to see Now You See Me, Now You Don't, and the movie was surprisingly good! The food was excellent, fresh, and full of flavor. The customer service was outstanding--every staff member we encountered was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of. The theater itself is clean, comfortable, and located in a nice, safe area. This was my first time here, but definitely not my last. I will absolutely be back for another dine-in movie experience at The Marcus Movie Tavern

Disclaimer, it could be my bad knees, but after about an hour of sitting, my knee was uncomfortable as it wasn't much space to stretch my leg out in front of me. In this occasion, I was sitting in the far back towards the door. The aisle is pretty big and there is a little room to stand up in the back to stretch your legs. This is not a complaint, just an FYI if you too have a bad knee.

The theatre itself has a medium-sized stage, decent sound system and lighting, and a good amount of chairs to accommodate a crowd of about 150. No stadium seating so just make sure not to sit behind the tall person or the jerk with the big hat. There is free parking in front of the building and overflow parking in the lot on the other side of the baseball field. The staff is very friendly and check-in for this production at least went quite smoothly if you purchased your tickets in advance online. After checking-in, an usher then escorted us into the theatre to a row of seats that were not yet taken filled in the nearly packed theatre. Overall, we had an enjoyable time at the venue watching this production. Tip: You may want to arrive early for events that you think will be full because seating appears to be first come, first served at this venue.
