Owner Tyler is extremely rude and unprofessional. DO NOT give them your business. After voicing our concerns about no communication on pick up time as the bouncy house was blocking our driveway, he hung up the phone on us! He said "according to the contract" this and that, but also "according to the contract" it says you will tell us a pick-up time. That of course didn't happen and it felt like it was all our fault. After reading the other reviews, it looks like we're not the only one. In a business where customer service is everything, the owner is HORRIBLE to work with. There are many other options out there from companies that are looking to earn your business and treat you with respect. Wow, after 5 years of using Topsy Turvy rentals, this was the last straw. Background, we have 6 kids and we started renting from Topsy Turvy before Covid at first for just our kids and eventually for their birthday parties. They've always been great with communication and prompt with drop off/pick up. Usually within an hour of our reserved start and end time. This rental experience was very different. We rented a bouncy house from 4-8pm. It was dropped off at 3pm and the delivery person confirmed our end time and said they'd be back then. 8pm came and went. By 11:30pm, my husband and 4 neighbors had to deflate it and rolled it into our garage since we couldn't just leave it out all night on our driveway - HOA rules and all that. I called at 7am the next morning to find out when they would be picking up - left a message since no one answered. Called again at 11am since I wasn't able to just hang around at home the whole day waiting on this pickup and I wanted to confirm some sort of pickup time - mind you the company communicated ZERO with us up to this point aside from saying they'd be back around 8pm the day of our reservation to pick up. This time someone answered and said they were really busy the night before with X # of pickups and only pick up until midnight. He said they'll get there when they get there. 10 minutes later the same person who dropped off our rental was there to pick up. He apologized and said he was told someone else was picking up our rental last night so sorry it was missed. (He was very nice about it - this was a different person than who I communicated with on the phone) When it was time to pay, I asked if there could be any type of discount since nothing about pickup was communicated to us (aside from "I'll be back around 8pm tonight") and we were left just waiting all night for the pickup. He called the owner, Tyler, and the owner called me back immediately. To say Tyler was RUDE would be the understatement of the century. He asked why I would want a discount and I just mentioned I was wondering if it was a possibility given we had to deflate and move the bounce house on our own last night and were waiting hours for them to show up - and they didn't communicate with us and we've just been waiting in limbo. He said I clearly didn't read the contract (he was demeaning to me about it). I asked what I missed in the contract and he said they have 24 hours and they'll get there when they get there. In their contract it says "delivery and pickup may occur up to 24 hours before and 24 hours after event start time and end time. LESSOR WILL NOTIFY THE LESSEE OF ESTIMATED TIME OF DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP PRIOR TO EVENT START TIME." I told him I was told 8pm pickup time at drop off and he didn't care. I was left in shock. If I'm at fault for missing that section in the contract, then so be it - he could have kindly or even matter-of-factly told me this. Instead, he was so short and rude and borderline aggressive. I mentioned we've been renting from them for years and this was the first time we've ever had any issues but if this was how they (he as the owner) reacted I don't think we'd be able to rent from them in the future. He loudly said "Thank GOD" and hung up on me. So, there's that. Bounce house was fun for my kids, but in my opinion not worth the non-communication and subsequent aggressive communication from the owner, Tyler. Will NOT ever be renting from again. Would NOT recommend to others. Owner should rethink his business if he can get so riled up and aggressive over a simple question and not handle customer service. read more

We rented a bouncy house for my daughters birthday. The process of renting was smooth, but once the bouncy house arrived, we realized it was soaking wet and smelled really bad. My husband and the delivery guy spent more than 30 min drying it, and even then, water drained down from the roof for the next hour. When contacting the owner to let him know about the situation, he was unapologetic and unwilling to take ownership for their mistake. I expressed to the owner that I didn't feel it was fair to pay in full for the rental given the condition of it, and his response was that he would just take it back then. That felt like a petty threat to me given that it was the day of the bday party and my daughter was really looking forward to it. It seems like they don't do a good job of drying and cleaning their bouncy houses before storing them, so the water accumulates and stagnates, making it smell like a high school locker room. I understand that it rains a lot in Seattle, but I didn't expect a wet and smelly bouncy house for my daughter's birthday. Overall I was disappointed in the service and professionalism of this company. I hope they can improve their customer service in the future because their price and selection is good. read more

Rented the Sports Combo for a 13-y.o.'s party and they all loved it. Was the perfect size. Did an on-line quote and had additional questions. Tyler - the owner - got back to me almost immediately. Very friendly and helpful over the phone. Before going with Topsy Turvy, I shopped around on-line. So many different companies with so many mixed reviews - hard to decide who to go with. I would not recommend this company to anyone. We had a party scheduled and thought we had planned for what we thought was proper access to the spot the party was, but they were unable to get the water slide to our desired location. This was not the problem. From the get go, this company showed up in their truck and before they even got out of the truck they were giving me attitude about being unable to place it where we wanted. We own a large enough lot and luckily had a few options, but we really wanted it to be in the location where the party was being held and they had zero interest in helping us find a solution to make this happen. The two guys that showed up appeared to be completely reliant on the equipment to move this incredibly large deflated slide. I hate to say this as a review, but one of the guys on a ventilator and the other did not look like he had the strength to be moving this type of item. I got every excuse in the book from "in the contract," "we can't do because of L&I," "we lost 2 guys this week due to a transport like this." The one that made me the most upset was "we have the equipment ordered that would allow us to do this job but its on back order" which as a customer made me feel like they committed to a job they were unable to do. If they would have made any attempt to try and help us find a solution, I would have felt completely different, but they showed up not wanting to help us at all. It took so long to settle this that we lost an hour of our reservation window and the slide was not set up until an hour after the event started. We have a construction company and have plenty of guys that move much bigger much more delicate/high end stuff every day and we though could help get the slide back to a spot that was easily accessible for them to pick it up. The guy shut that idea down right away and told me my guys would not stick around afterwards to help. If you do book these guys, I just recommend having an incredibly flat lot with completely easy flat access. If there are any obstacles at all, they will not try an help find a solution, they will just start giving you excuses. Read the fine print and if you have any concern about whether it will be possible or not, assume they will not help you find out if it is. The product itself was great. I rented a combo bouncer from Tyler and he was so nice and worked through several obstacles with me, even changing the venue at the last minute. If you're looking to rent in the South King County area, look no further. Topsy Turvy is the best. Let me tell you a story... We contracted to rent a bounce house from Topsy Turvy for our annual Harvest Carnival this year. While we were setting up, a crew came to set up a bounce house. We didn't think anything of it since we were expecting a bounce house. Turns out, it was a different company. We didn't realize it until Topsy Turvy showed up to set theirs up. Realizing the mistake, we scrambled to figure out who the other people were, why they set up in our gym, and how we could get a hold of them. All the while, Topsy Turvy was calm and professional calling other companies in the area to resolve the issue. We eventually discovered that the bounce house was supposed to be set up at our neighbor church next door. Even though we all called the other company, we received no reply and could not get a hold of them. We left messages as did the other church but we never received a call back. Then Topsy Turvy went above and beyond. Not only did they set up our bounce house, they also tore down the other bounce house (which was sopping wet) and moved it to the other church and set it up there. They display great professionalism and integrity in how they handled themselves. They were on time for delivery and pick up and were a delight to work with. I rented the princess bounce castle for my wedding. It may have been my favorite part of the wedding aside from getting married. It kept all the kids super entertained - except for when we decided to kick them out for a while so all my friends and I could jump! More importantly, the house arrived right on time and also about half the price as the company I initially almost hired. read more

We rented an obstacle course last Summer. The price was great. Rental process was smooth and driver came on time but they need to do a better job cleaning their bounce houses. The driver left the inside covered in old dried grass, crackers and hair. It was pretty gross. We rented from another company after this that blew out the whole thing with a leaf blower and sanitized it when they set it up. read more

Really disappointed in this company. I live overseas and we are coming back to the states for a party where I rented a bouncy house. I sent an email with all the info to a guy named Tyler and didn't hear back from him for several days (5 days), where then I sent a follow up email. 6 days later I received an email saying he never received any of my info and now all the bouncy houses are booked.
