This is quite a large branch, set out over two floors. Downstairs they have a dedicated food section, then moving left you come to the women's clothing. They have shoes, lingerie, and lots of lovely fashion. The only one I actually notice is Per Una, so truth be told, I don't know if they stock other brands, as I've only noticed the Per Una. They have some really nice items. Most of it is out of my price range, but I have been lucky there when they've had end of season sales one. The service is excellent. The fitting rooms are really quite spacious and luxurious, compared to what I'm used to in Asda, for example! The staff are friendly and helpful. Upstairs, they have men's clothing, and a gift section, and homewares. Last time I was in, I noticed they also had a television section upstairs! This was new to me, but it was a smart little section, not a lot of choice, but the service, again, was excellent. The lady took time out to talk me through some of the products, and was really helpful. About twenty years ago I thought Marks and Spencer was really posh, and the epitome of quality and good service. Then it sort of went downhill, but I think they're climbing back up now.

I am not sure of the exact hours but I think around 8pm on an average night. As well as the usual ranges of fashion, homeware, food etc there is a cafe on the first floor and a currency exchange which is handy as M&S often have good rates. Personally I think that M&S have become more competitive in recent years and I am now shopping her more and more.

The ground floor has the mens section, jewellery section and makeup section. There's games as well here and some ladies hats and scarves. The first floor is ladies clothing and the second is houseware. The top floor has the restaurant and childrens department. It's a nice store, I have yet to be dissapointed with it, there are often huge reductions towards sale time! It's good to visit when the local warehouse store or topshop store has ran out of your size! The restaurant food is ok, fair prices but nothing special really. Just the usual soup, sausages, beans thing. It does serve an all day breakfast I think that's promoted throughout the store. The staff here are really helpful and friendly they'll chat with anyone any age about what they're buying or what they're up to and the makeup staff are really helpful and knowledgeable about their aimed product. Generally this is a very nice store, easily accesible from the main high street or the hill street centre.

There are several designers rangers running throughout the store including Jasper Conran, John Rocha and Matthew Williamson. I particulalry like the range of bags and the baby section. When Debenhams has a sale there are genuine reductions and bargains to be had so definitely worth a look around.

This branch is all on one floor, and seems a bit jumbled to me. They sell clothing, shoes, bags, toys, ornaments etc. I always like to take a look in if I'm in the town centre, as I would hate to miss a bargain, and you CAN get bargains here, but you have to be lucky, and you have to be prepared to rummage for them! I personally find the clothing expensive, even though it is discounted. But they do carry a nice line in reduced price toys and games, although I don't think they have a big a selection at the Teesside Park branch. There always seem to be queues at the check outs, too.

My favourite thing about Peacocks is their shoes and bags!!! they always have a really wide range, something to suit everyone's tastes and every occassion. Okay, so they are not the most unique - I have seen similar in other cheap clothing stores, but they are good enough to use for a couple of nights out, especially if you're on a tight student budget. Overall this place gets the thumbs up from me - they sell a variety of sizes to suit most people and the prices are affordable. It is also nicely located, just outside of the Bridges shopping centre.

In my opinion, when comparing this store and the branch in Newcastle, perhaps even adding the branches of Primark in both Oldham and Manchester city centre, closer to my home into the mix, this is one of my favourite stores. The sign is modern and it does have some slightly modern features, and it also seemed less busy than most other city centre stores such as Manchester on my trip. I found the staff to be friendly, we got chatting about technology and Apple pay, I was served quite quickly despite there being a queue, it seemed to be well-managed which was good. The product range was quite satisfactory but mainly summer-based, for example, I found it quite difficult to get long sleeve t-shirts away from their suits and smart range, which was a shame. For a clothes shop, this is probably slightly above average, some of the products in all honesty are just junk and things you would wear once and seem to be of the lower quality, but some things from here are okay, and I feel as one of the better Primark stores I have visited, this store deserves a three star rating.

Topman is on the floor above. This Topshop always stocks all the latest trends as well as jewellery, shoes and accessories. They also stock connection trends of Topshop such as Deeryme and Traffic People. The staff are really helpful and friendly and the queue at the till is never too long. They offer student discount which helps with the price.

Not long ago they did a 20% of student night, which was really popular, only downside was the free gift bag which was a disappointment as it contained a pair of tights and a bottle of water. I love the clothes in Top Shop, but they are rather over priced and they do not have sales particularly often.
