We dug deeper into online reviews of this company and found nothing but positive comments. This was not the case for multiple other builders we researched in the area. We set up an appointment to meet with Matt Nelson and were immediately impressed with his attention to detail and the passion he showed about helping us develop plans for our dream home. After we put our deposit down and the building process began, we feared we would quickly feel overwhelmed with all of the decisions that needed to be made. Nelson Builders uses an application that you can access on your phone or desktop which keeps you up to date on the building process, allows you to make selections, and communicate with the owners seamlessly. This communication tool was a huge positive attribute for us because we were not living in the town our house was being built in so we could not visit the job site as often as we would have liked. However, we were able to get updates and see pictures and videos of our home during all stages of the building process through the website. We write this review to give our honest opinion about our experience so that other individuals can make a well informed decision for such a huge investment. As mentioned previously, we were mentally prepared for catastrophes to occur during the process, but we did not experience any. About 20 years ago we discovered Jackson Quality Construction located about two miles from our home. We started with a small project of removing wooden paneling in our basement so the floor could be waterproofed. Since then Jackson has done several projects around our house always when promised and always perfect. They built a new deck for us last year that visually looked much better than our old one and is very solid. More recently they patched a roof leak that the roofer could not seem to correct even after two visits and a few hundred dollars. Their crew also is genuinely friendly. What we appreciate most is that they will keep at it until we are completely satisfied. There's no just walking away after we pay. However, be prepared that Jackson is quite expensive. Be prepared to pay top dollar. We think it's worth the expense to get it done right without stress and worry. Many of our neighbors have used Jackson and have been highly satisfied. In fact, that's how we learned about them.
