My sister and I left Topgolf New Braunfels feeling completely and utterly displeased with how we were treated. This was one of the most impersonal and uncomfortable dining experiences we have ever had. We understood that ordering and payment were handled through a touchless system by scanning a code. However, "touchless" should not mean receiving absolutely no service or basic human interaction. Our food was brought out and placed on the table, but the server did not ask whether we needed anything else. We had no silverware to eat with, and our soft drinks never arrived. We had to repeatedly get up and ask for basic items that should have been provided with our meal. Later, we had to approach the bar again just to request to-go boxes. The food was served hot, which we appreciated, but the taste was mediocre at best. What made the experience especially frustrating was the lack of care, attention, and hospitality. We believed the bill had been paid because the ordering system indicated that the transaction was complete. Later that evening, we received a call saying the bill had not been fully paid and that only one cent had been authorized. We spoke with Ashanti that evening and assured her that we would return the following day to pay the complete balance of $48.11--which we did. We paid the bill in cash to avoid experiencing any additional problems with their tap/touchless payment system. Had any employee taken a moment to interact with us, check on our table, or confirm payment before we left, this issue could have easily been resolved at the restaurant. We were not attempting to avoid paying our bill. In fact, we returned the very next day and made sure it was paid in full. The entire experience made us feel ignored, uncomfortable, and completely unappreciated as paying customers. We were also the only people we could perceive as persons of color in the dining area, which honestly left us wondering whether race played a role in the noticeably dismissive treatment we received. I cannot say with certainty that it did, but the experience was troubling enough to raise that concern. We work hard for our money and expect to be treated with the same basic courtesy and appreciation as every other customer. I enjoy Topgolf, but some things are frustrating. You can't book more than two bays online without having a minimum catering package. You can't book two bays next to each other without a $25 fee to have the together. Luckily my group showed up for my bday celebration and were able to get two bays together. The drinks are good and the food is actually really tasty! I did not expect much but the whole group loved their food. The bags were surprisingly tiny compared to other Topgolf's I've been to (San Antonio & Katy). The policy is six players max to a bay, but eight people allowed. The seating was very small. Six grown adults did not fit on the couches, and there was no extra chairs or tables to use. We had 13 people over two bays. I wish there was larger seating, and I wish the bays were deeper like other locations, which allows you to mingle with the other bay easier. Overall it's a good time. The manager with the black/brown curly hair is one of the rudest people I have ever encountered in the customer service industry while she just claims it's "the way she talks" she has a terrible ugly tone behind her mouth. After she has the worst tone at the bar, I head outside to let my family know what I just dealt with as she's standing right there and turns around and wants to confront me as if we are teenage women. This woman has no right to have a manager position at this spot and shame on the hiring people for letting her have this position in the first place. She kept saying she was the manager, as if it meant something you work at Topgolf get off your power trip. We also had issues with the male manager that was working there as well. It would allow customers to make an informed decision upfront instead of being surprised at check-in. We were also required to book two bays due to our group size, which further increased the cost. This may work fine for smaller groups splitting expenses, but for larger families, it becomes significantly more expensive. If you want tasty appetizers and fun, this is the place! However, through the TopGolf app, I booked an hour at 5:00 pm on a Sunday. We arrived at 4:47 and were told that our bay needed to be bussed and they'd text us when it was ready. We received our text after 5:10 pm and walked upstairs to Bay 201 on the end. We looked at our monitor and it said we had 45 minutes to play. We were charged for a full hour. The app tells you that Sunday's are only $40 an hour. The catch is that they don't let you play a full hour. Improve your booking and bussing or don't advertise your Sunday Funday deal. read more

The bay fans were broken only on our section, drinks were served incorrectly not once but three times, mind you drink order did not change. Food was not brought out as requested, leaving garnishments that were politely asked to not be in the plates, yet they still were(allergy issues). Terrible experience on Sunday afternoon 1/18 1600. Sat outside by the putting course and was told a water would be right out. After 45 min finally went to the bar to order. After we got our food nobody ever came back to check on us or to ask if we needed any refills, had to go to the bar each time. Food was good but staff and manger's on duty were terrible.
