Not being a regular golfer and not even being an educated golfer, this place still managed to WOW me. Awesome ambiance, very lively and spacious, even when the crowd level is on the heavy side, fun outing for adults only as well as family with all ages, good place to get some motor skills in getting that swing going for sure. Their bars and restaurant are very functional, served tasteful food and drinks. Staff are helpful and sometime go out of their way to satisfy customers. This could be a start-up thing but it is working nonetheless. Cost effective rates for bay rentals. Even the food are well priced for their quality and quantity. I visited them both during the day and evening. I definitely suggest visiting in the evening to take advantage of their lighted green controlled by DJ music (I think). A great addition in mundane Katy nightlife, gives us something to show off to the Montrose/Upper Kirby folks! read more

First timer here. Not a golfer. In fact...it's fair to say I suck at golf. But apparently, I am not terrible at Top Golf! Who knew!? This place rocks. So you've got to come with friends or co-workers and plan to stay for an hour or two. Order some drinks, some appetizers, and just hit balls into the great unknown. So much fun. We had a few appetizers, chips and salsa, cheese dip, mexican egg rolls, and drinks. The apps were great and the chips kept getting refilled as long as we had things to dip them in. How awesome. The mexican egg rolls were like little burritos that were deep fried I guess. Tougher to split between multiple people but super super good. They have some decent beers on tap, though more "big three" heavy than I like. They still had Karbach so that's local. Prices are good. To be fair, I didn't pay. But I would come back...no wait, I will come back. I got my membership card and everything. So yea. I'll be back for sure. read more

Cool place and nothing like it in town! The one thing...it can get pricey if you just want to go with a buddy or two. Save this place for a bigger group/celebration. Also, the weather cooperated for us (only the high 80s, but any hotter and it would be a little brutal to be outside. However, the food was actually pretty good! I got a burger and something called Mushi. It was like a southwest chicken eggroll that wasnt fried, but in a wrap and cut like sushi. Sounds strange, but it was good. I'm no golfer by any means, but it was still fun to smack some ball (phrasing). Food: 4 Drinks: 4 (full bar, regular prices...$3 PBR pounders!) Atmosphere: 5 Service: 4 (good looking staff) Price: 3 (again, pricey for the golf, but worth it for a group) If you're down for a different experience, then give it a shot! read more

Topgolf - Golf Near Me - Houston, Texas

Awesome fun and pretty good foods - good place to hang out so long as it's not crowded. First time to top golf was this week and the experience was just awesome. The pluses - After you and everyone in your crew buys a membership (it is an extra cost, but the features you get are pretty good), you use your membership not only to keep score while playing the top golf games, you also can use it for splitting checks, making the hassle of paying for your fun a little less stressful. Membership is a "lifetime" deal - so at least you only have to buy it once ever. The fact that golfballs are tracked by RFID and you're scored automatically makes the TopGolf game itself really cool... altho the actual golf part of it still requires some form of witchcraft to hit a friggin golf ball straight.... Of the food - Wings are really good - probably not healthy (they are deep fried for sure). Chips and salsa/guac weren't so good, as the chips were basically excessively oversalted tostitos. If they switched out the chips and had a bit more texture to thei guac, could be a solid dish. Burgers are solid - mine was cooked nicely, buns were nice (not soggy), and the bacon was very nice too. Comes with fries or tots - both good. They have "mexican sushi" here.... they call this "mushi". For those of you who aren't familiar with the Japanese language, "mushi" means "insect". I can't report back on this beyond the name and extra desire to avoid it due to its naming association with cockroaches. They have a solid selection of drinks and a bloody mary bar which is cool. Overall - an awesome place for fun w/ friends... and with some solid food, but the food department could still improve a bit and it's not cheap. read more

Topgolf is a nice happy medium for those who love golf and those who think it's totally boring (me!). It's kind of like driving range meets cosmic bowling I think. A visit to TG makes a fun date, birthday party, team building or other group activity. They have catering and a pretty decent beer menu (never tried any of their drink drinks). They have a huge parking lot and usually lots of staff to help out. Don't really have anything bad to say about the place! read more

Topgolf is a pretty fantastic, offbeat way to spend an hour or two with literally anyone: family, friends, co-workers, a date, or that random acquaintance that you can't put off "hanging out" with any longer. It's as competitive as you want it to be and (take it from a guy who can't tell a 7 iron from a wedge) entertaining whether you're a novice or a seasoned pro. Plus, they have fairly decent food options and a full bar if you're in the mood for a mixed drink or beer. The premise is simple: you take turns swinging from your group's spot--located somewhere along the three-tiered structure--while trying to make it into one of the marked holes scattered across the green. The closer you get, the more points you rack up on the electronic scoreboard. Each player gets 20 balls total, so distribute turns accordingly. Bigger groups can get a little cumbersome, so I think 4-5 people is the optimal group size; you can manage two full games in an hour if you pace yourself. There are a couple caveats that prevent me from awarding the business a 5/5. They are, in order: 1. It's relatively expensive. One hour will set your group back $40, which is fine if everyone chips in but a little steep if you're treating. More annoyingly, every new player has to purchase a $5 Topgolf ID to participate, and any card-less returning topgolfers have to pony up a dollar for a replacement. 2. The wait. Because they operate on a first-come-first-serve basis, if you arrive between 4-8 PM on a weekend, you're pretty much guaranteed a wait of at least 1-2 hours. 3. I had a waitress in the restaurant this past weekend who was incredibly rude. 95% of my interactions with the staff have been highly positive and courteous. But this waitress was snappy and short. Maybe just having a bad day? read more

At $40/hour, Topgolf can get a bit pricey for a small group, so on a recent trip, my bf and I got there around 11:30 to nab the half priced pre-noon rate for our first hour there. The three-story facility, complete with ginormous bar and delicious noms, is always buzzing. We went in, nabbed our bay on the second floor, and let the games begin. The food at Topgolf is ridiculously good. I ordered the vegetable quesadilla with spinach, and the bf ordered the pepperoni flatbread. My quesadilla was amazing. Filled with cheddar cheese, pepper jack cheese, and grilled peppers, the inside of the quesadillas were oozing with cheesy goodness and popping with flavor from the grilled peppers, which were not spicy at all. The additional velvety spinach gave the insides even more of a creamy, sensational bonus. Even though the middles were moist and full, the tortillas were not soggy and remained crispy as we ate them. My boyfriend liked his pepperoni flatbread, but he wasn't over the moon about it. But THIS: craft. beer. queso. !!!!!!!!!!!!! This "cheesy goodness" is comprised of melted cheeses (duh), BEER, and sweet roasted corn. I could be wrong, but I think there were also some added veggies (maybe peppers?) in there. The bold, tangy cheese was mouth-wateringly sinful. The borderline "nutty" texture of the corn really made eating this queso a unique and enjoyable experience. For something different, active, and fun, Topgolf is a great way to go. Be sure to get there before noon if you can to lock down the more reasonable hourly rate. The service is great, and the food is superb! read more

hooray for me! I conquered my first time EVER swinging a golf club, and wasn't half bad! Yes, this review is for all of you who have friends/boyfriends/ girlfriends, whoever who want to drag you to this golf place and you've never picked up a golf club in your life. TAKE MY ADVICE... this place is a blast!!! OK, so golf can be a bit frustrating and intimidating, but you can just pick up a club and swing away. I can't aim for the targets, but it was awfully exciting when I made it in one. And if you don't really want to play, you can always just sit aroung and eat and drink! prices are fairly reasonable. My first time there I did about half and half. Everyone says how expensive it can be and how long you have to wait... I didn't notice this at all. We went on a saturday afternoon, and after my friends turned down the first bay that came available (something about not wanting to be on the bottom level), we maybe waited like 45 min? And in the meantime we ate and drank and caught up. We stayed a really long time, and renewing the bay wasn't expensive because we had so many people to split the cost between. BTW the waitstaff are super helpful if you tend to be a little electronically challenged with their machines. I hope to go back, its a great place to celebrate birthdays, or just to spend the day with some friends! read more

Say whaaaaat?!?! So much fun!! We had a group of 10 so we were able to make a reservation. Highly recommended!! When we drove up to the valet at 7:30 he asked if we had a reservation... if not, the wait was 5 hours! Who is waiting 5 hours?!?! It's good... but not that good :) It's a little pricey... but think of it as upscale bowling... only with golf clubs? Also, I have never played golf in my life. My husband is a golfer, as were most of the other guys, but most of us ladies had never swung a club. It was still a blast! We had our own waiter and he was on top of it! I'm sure he had other customers but we would have never of known. Food came out quick and hot... for a place this big I could see where it would be easy to mess up. Everyone ordered something different... my husband had a burger with an egg on it and said it was delicious. I had the bahn mi style flat bread and I loved it. We were scheduled for 3 hours but ended up adding on another hour. It was a nice August evening in Houston, therefore, I would describe the weather as 'soupy'. They had massive fans blowing which made it tolerable. Plus, after 2 rounds of shots and several buckets of beer a little heat didn't matter much. We can't wait to go back... probably in October when it's a little cooler outside. read more

This is a perfect place to go hang out with friends and family for an hour or two when you want to get outside. You don't have to be a pro for this to be fun, and even if you don't enjoy golfing you can enjoy the food and drinks and watch tv while you relax. When I have family in town I always keep this on my to-do list because most people haven't seen a place like this and it's something new for them to try. I've never heard a complaint in following this plan. They have a big menu with plenty of options and the drinks menu is bountiful as well. Beware though if you go on the weekend, especially in the evening, because you will waaaaaait. I've been quoted upwards of 2 hours when trying to go after 6pm on a Saturday. And after noon on a Sunday gets packed as well. You want to either go early morning/afternoon on Saturday, or first thing in the morning on Sunday's. You can always burn time eating and drinking, watching sports as well, but if you want to get right in then pick your time wisely. My only complaint is that the service can be slow when you're in the bays. You can end up with an empty drink for a while if you don't find and wave down a server as they pass by. Otherwise, an amazing time! read more

What a great place to hang out! I'm not a big fan of golf, but I think I actually enjoyed the no pressure part here. The food is actually not bad, and so the drinks aren't pricey neither! Took my friend from NY here and she definitely enjoyed it. All my friends were actually thinking of coming back. It's something different, and the fact that they have seating area and service available makes it more great! Its $40 per hour to play per group. But for unlimited balls, and play as much as you can? I think it's worth it. I enjoyed coming here! read more

Not very pleased with Top Golf. The service is great, but they continually find ways to nickel and dime you to increase the profit margin. They now charge tax to add $ to your card, which is odd, considering they haven't done this in the past year. I'm no tax attorney, but I'm pretty sure that you can't pick and choose when and where taxes are charged. Add this to the rate increase of $40/hr all day from a few months ago and discontinued happy hour... kinda seems like they're squeezing blood from the turnip. Once the money runs out on my card, I won't be back. read more

Love Love Love this place - what a great way to spend a day just hanging out and relaxing - the food has been great - we have tried everything on the menu now and have not been disappointed. The fries have been a little cold and hard but that is easily remedied. We spend the day hanging out in the lounge enjoying the free pool and Kinect. Had great service. Fun watching the themed groups in costume competing on the driving range games too. The nightime parties have been a blast too - really want to get my photobooth in at some of the events - April - call me :) www.partybooths.com is ready and willing at anytime! Awesome atmosphere, great fun, good food, and all very pricey. Top golf is known for providing a stylish and hip space while practicing your swing. The food and drinks aren't bad at all either but all of this comes at a price. There is an initial one-time $5 membership fee which include free club rentals. Tee time can run around $20-$40 per hour (varying on time of day) and food runs about $10-$20 per plate with drinks between $10-$15 per drink. Overall, this place is great for gatherings or afternoon hangouts. But the costs do not allow it to be a weekly event (unless if you have that kind of disposable income). read more

This was the first time any of us had ever gone to a driving range. The only time any of us had every touched a golf club was for miniature golf years ago. You would think this would be a recipe for disaster, but it wasn't! We were in a first floor bay in the corner which wasnt the best location, but it gave us the privacy to swing and miss plenty of times. The waiters were extremely helpful and got us set up and ready to have fun! The food was overpriced and kind of meh, but I am pretty sure this place isnt known for their food. I have been to this location and the one off of I-45. Between those two I prefer this one. The staff was more attentive. So dont worry if you dont know which end of the club to hit the ball with, you will figure it out there and have fun doing it! read more

Several items to review here.. The golf game gets 5 stars.. way cool. Food - Average - 3-stars. They have an executive chef. Seriously? From where? Chili's or Bennigan's. The TopGolf membership card - No Stars... the card costs $5 and it is supposed to allow you to pull up previous scores on their website and app. I can't get it to work on either..There is no way to resolve this, so the card is useless. so why charge the $5? read more

Not a bad place at all to go hang out and hit the golf balls. Been here twice since it opened so far, both times at $40 per hour/bay. Not bad when you can split it up with up to 6 people. The card system is cool, but also get a bit confusing the first few times when you are low on funds. Just ask and they will show you how, and its easy. Food is good. My only issue is that hands are dirty while eating, then swinging the club, then eating..etc,etc, they have wet naps for ppl like me. I usually just get the Asian wings or Sliders. Some items are a bit over priced, but nothing major. Golf games are fun to play and we usually have a pool of $$ on the side per game, which makes it more interesting to us. Their clubs are just basic ones, but not bad. Bring your own if you have them. Waitstaff can be slow at times, but so far they have split the checks properly and brought out the correct items that were ordered. Will go back...well actually, going in 30 minutes! read more

We came here on a Saturday night so we naturally expected a long wait. When we showed up the lady said 2 to 2 1/2 hours. So we sat at the bar and had dinner no big deal. We didn't get a waiter until sitting for about 20 minutes. So our order came out wrong as expected and the waiter blamed it on the kitchen. Our waiter was very nonchalant and acted like he just didn't care about anything. 30 minutes after we have eaten and I'm still sitting here looking at our food on the table! An hour later as AN ENTIRE LEVEL opened up because a big party was leaving, I went to check on my status and to see if we'd get a bay, after standing in front of the desk for 5 minutes w/o the lady acknowledging me, she proceeds to tell me that my wait is 2 more hours... Then I said, "even with an entire level opening up?" And she said "well everyone keeps asking me every 5 minutes so..." and then she rambled off some excuses and complaints, and then started talking to someone else. So I walked off. Anyways the moral to my story is that these employees act like they don't care about their job or like they can't handle it. I was disappointed to see how this place has gone down hill. Last time I come here on a weekend. read more

So glad they put a location closer to my side of town. You can never go wrong with this place. It's great to go with a group of people. You rent the bin for $40 a hour up to 6 players & that price is nothing for 6 ppl to split. The drinks are so good & it's better to go at night while everything it lit up. Now the wait sometimes is a little long but you can always play pool or go to the bar till your bin is ready. read more

Oddly enough I came here only for desert as I had already had my fun event somewhere else. I came to try their injectable donuts and have a drink or two. I arrived to a pack house no big deal though as it was a Saturday. But we went in anyway and sat on the Audi level in the middle where there were bars and seating. We waited for someone to help us, waited and waited for about 20 min till finally Ben came up to us. Again not a big deal in fact it should be expected when Ur not at the main bar and are in the are where the booths are. We had our donuts which were pretty good they were fresh hot and came with quite a few, way more than one person could ever have. The injectable idea was fun but messy lol so be prepared, but it was kinda fun at the same time. I enjoyed the visit overall and the waiter Ben was nice. read more

We always have a great experience. Food is good, beer is cold. The food service is usually quick. Only downside is the "pay for reservation" system. If you don't pay $10-$50 to have a reservation you could possibly wait up to 45 minutes for a bay. We will definitely return. read more

First time to top golf, so we were super excited to learn what it was all about. Since it has just exploded in popularity around the country, I figured it would be a well oiled machine, on the somewhat high end of price for a night out, but still a great choice for couples or families. Upon arrival, we noticed the parking lot and the facility were PACKED! Not a problem at all, as we expected that. We were greeted at the front, explained how the check-in and membership process works, and we were told to expect a two hour wait for a golfing bay. Not a problem either. In the meantime, we went upstairs to the patio / terrace to enjoy the activities and some food and beverages. What was disappointing though was that it took over 90 minutes, and several requests, for someone to check-in on us to see if we wanted to order anything. Very disorganized operation up there. It was sad really, as you know they could be making a ton more money if the staff were more on top of it. The staff that I did explain our dissatisfaction to acted as though it was no big deal -- also missing the picture that they could be making more money and more tips. They had 1-2 servers for over 100 people. Not even close to the staff required. Most of the other tables were complaining as well. When we checked in, we were told that there was a fire pit upstairs. We headed up there partially because of that reason. Come to find out though, it was turned off. Several requests to turn it on were met with "uh, hmm...let me tell my manager" and then nothing happened. Some staff said they couldn't find their manager. Once we got to our bay, we were greeted by a nice server who was on top of everything. We had a great time actually "playing" topgolf, but the two hour wait without being able to order food or drinks and the disenfranchised staff were very disappointing. read more

This is a fun place to "swing the sticks" and get frustrated at how bad you are at golf all while having a terrific time! It can get a bit pricey ($52.50 for 1.5 hours of golf) and the wait time for an open bay (45 min) can be lengthy but, their food selection and beverage selection is outstanding. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with a side of fries for $10.50 and it was delicious. The service is polite and timely. I'll be coming back here in the future! read more

Great place to eat, drink, and have fun. Been there about a dozen times. My 11 year old son LOVES the place as do my wife and friends. Good place to talk business. Only downside is the service. Service is slow and typically inattentive. HOWEVER: Ask for Kelsey or Rassie as servers if you visit. They gave (separate visits) the most professional, prompt, and courteous service BY FAR of anyone else that ever waited our table. I tipped very well and they deserved it. The venue is great and every other waiter/waitress I've had should take lessons from Kelsey and Rassie. I would give 5 stars if everyone working there performed as well as those two! read more

6/26/2023, My wife and I went to enjoy our 2nd wedding anniversary around 7pm. We felt rushed from the start by the staff member assigned to our Bay. He wasn't very helpful or knowledgeable. Then without asking, he went to get a red shirt staff member who was more helpful but condescending and tried to belittle me for trying to use a coupon. then 10 minutes later, I was asked to see my charge card even though we weren't half way done with our game/time that he kept interrupting. He took my card and came back with it shortly after, claiming it was policy. That was really sketchy among other concerns such as card security. Never been asked that previously by any business and always paid at the Bay. Felt more like RACISM than policy. As good as the food smelled, we did not like the way we were treated, and did not want to spend another dime where we feel unwelcomed and this will be our last trip to this location. read more

TopGolf is the next evolution of driving ranges. It's like the creators of TopGolf were playing a Wii Sports mini-game and said to themselves, "You know what would be awesome? If this video game golf were played with REAL golf clubs and balls!" The result? Automatic ball tracking, a bowling alley-like scoring interface, and hours of smack-talking, beer-drinking, ball-crushing fun. The basic premise is that each player takes their turn hitting a real golf ball with a real club into the range at various targets. Each of the targets has a ring of sensors that grant an increasing number of points as you land closer to the pin. The game is amazingly fun, combining the best elements of the driving range, the bowling alley, and the pub into one seamless experience. So if I'm so thrilled, why not 5 stars? Well, for one, the wait for a golfing "bay" can be upwards of 2 hours at peak times. To start golfing around 8pm on a Thursday, you might have to have a representative of your group show up around 6:30, or even earlier. The good news is, once you have the bay, it's yours to play in for as long as you want it. The cost of wanting it is $40/hour, plus a one time fee of $5 to get your membership started. Divided among 6 players, the rate is quite reasonable. Another (minor) complaint is that the DJ plays about 75% Dub Step. So if you are bothered by constant warbling (Wubwubwubwubwubwub BRAAAAUW wubwubwubwub BRAAAUW) while you are trying to line up your 9 iron, you might want to bring ear plugs. Food was a decent assortment of bar/pub staples. I had the chicken and mini waffle sandwhiches, which were pretty darn tasty. Skip the nachos though, blech. And make sure to ask for napkins--the servers NEVER bring them unless you ask, and then they bring you...one. All in all, I loved this place. It was the perfect venue for Guys Night Out, and I hope to return soon. 4.5 Stars read more

Keep an open mind and give golf a try! I was reluctant at first, what could be so fun about hitting a ball into a tiny hole so far away? Actually, it's a lot of fun! It takes a lot of skill to actually get the golf club to hit the ball and a challenging to get the ball to where you want. It's a competitive fun that's perfect for a large group of all ages. The computer set up is easy to use and understand. The menu is extensive with lots of finger food options as well as main dishes. It's decent and a little pricier but convenient to be able to eat and play in the same place. Lots of adult drinks, nooks and seatings to hang out if you want to take a break from golfing for other business. read more

I so had the wrong impression of Top Golf. All this time I was thinking it was $40/person, but it's really $40 per bay. So, if you're like us and go with 6, it was less than $7/person. That is a deal! Our whole visit cost us just under $50 for 2 including food and golf. That's a steal deal and it was so much fun. As a matter of fact, it's reinforced my interest in taking golf lessons. It's a little strange, but everyone has to buy a $5 membership card to start. You wait with your party till they buzz you that a bay has opened. Then, if someone else has a $50 priority pass, they can squeeze in before you and you're left waiting again. That's a little rude. That's ok it gave us time to socialize. Finally we get to our bay and I'm pretty excited. They have heaters over your bay, so that's nice, however ours was not working. But it was fine, it was getting warmer as the day progressed and we had a great time trying to hit our microchipped balls into the different point pods. We had a great time and it's definitely worth the drive out. For photos visit sooandthecity.com! read more

Last night I visited Top Golf with a group of friends. The wait was surprisingly minimal, and we got to a bay quickly. The service was good, the waitstaff friendly and attentive. I ordered the sausage and pepperoni flatbread for the table. It came within a reasonable time period, and was good if not a little uninspired: it was comprised of red sauce, sausage crumbles (like you'd find on any pizza) and pepperoni. The flatbread itself was crisped in butter. Also ordered was a turkey club; a basic club served on toasted white bread. Top Golf is really a bar and grill where you can smack golf balls while you eat and drink, so I expected a little more from the food. Overall, it's a great place for buddies and beer. I find it to be priced on the high end of regular fun, but worth it for an occasional night out. read more

I came here with a couple of co-workers to hit some golf balls during lunch. I've never golfed before, but one of my co-workers taught me the basic mechanics of it. You basically reserve a spot (ours was on the 1st floor) and then head over. It was around lunch time so there wasn't a wait at all. I You wave your club right over a sensor and that rolls a ball to you. You just need to move it a little more so you can position yourself to hit the ball. They had menu where you could order food items and drinks. We just ordered appetizers. They have a couple of pool tables inside which I noticed no one ever used. I actually felt sorry for those tables since I like playing pool. read more

I have been there 2-3 times now and it is okay for entertainment but expensive. for an hour and half including two beers three sodas for my kids, and three appetizers, I spent $130. That is a lot for just 90 min of entertainment. In order for all of us to play against each other we had to purchase separate membership cards which we did not do. We all just played under on and just played 5 shots each and tracked the score that way. Overall we had fun but it is simply entertainment and not a place to waste time because the clock is ticking and if you are wasting time you are wasting your money. read more
