    Salmon Crudité and Quiche Lorraine
    Mikayla K.

Food: Pretty standard storefront fair. I had the Quiche Lorraine which was very tasty but not heated up at all and bordered between lukewarm and actually cold. The actual quiche was very tasty though. My boyfriend had the Salmon Crudité. Nothing really special about that, just standard raw salmon on a baguette with some spinach. Eh, nothing to write home about. It struck me that their pastries were not freshly made and likely bought from another location and transported here. Venue: This is a small storefront with covered patio seating right by the promenade. It's a nice place to take a quick rest and refuel but I wouldn't expect world class food when you're here. It's just easy and relatively cheaper.

Great place for after meal "wine" down. The proprietress was fun and energetic and set us up with some very potent cognacs. You can also but the various wines and such to take home. Give them a try

La Grande Cave is a winestore where you can enjoy your bottle as it is or togother with light food…read more Selection of wines is small, but good. They have everything from full bodied red wines, whites, rosé and Champagne. You buy the bottle in the store. If you would like to enjoy the bottle at La Grande Cave or just have a glass of the bottle, corkage is €8. The light food is well presented, is of high quality and is very individual depending on the waiter. One dish can be garnished with paprika and strawberries by one and with tomatoes by another. Interesting and authentic! You can also buy wine by the glass. They have red/white/rosé of the day for about €8 with higher quality than neighboring restaurants. The winestore/bar has about 6 small tables in a steep alley located in central Villefranche. During high season there is a calm flow of people strolling by. The environment is beautiful with a glimpse of the harbour. This is a perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine before dinner. Maybe buy a bottle, have a glass of it and finish it with dinner at home or at a restaurant nearby?
