Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen

Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen

In the area visiting family and stopped in for a bite about an hour before closing. The restaurant…read morewas still active. For those that aren't familiar with the restaurant's concept, it centers around Gulf Coast (LA, FL, AL, MS, TX) Cuisine. The decor alone gave you a Gulf Coast vibe with a blues and RB sound track setting the mood. Outside of the main entrance is a patio/lounge area with comfortable furniture where you can unload and socialize when the weather is great. Most Pappadeaux locations have one of these. We were seated upon our walk-in entry, in the bar area which was still very active as closing time approached. From past experiences I do recommend getting a reservation though. Our server De'Ja was attentive and welcoming proving excellent service! We really appreciated it De'Ja!! Our dinner began with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and an Old Fashioned. Next up was the Roasted Oysters which were piping hot and delicious!! Our entrees included the Seafood Cobb Salad (red onion, bleu cheese, egg, avocado, tomatoes, house vinaigrette & creamy vinaigrette) minus bacon and Wild-Caught Grouper Creole (spicy seared grouper, jumbo shrimp, buttered heirloom grits, and creole sauce (featuring okra). Both were well seasoned, tasty and served hot! Since we'd been traveling all day this meal hit the spot! On visits to the area we've tried the Norcross, Lawrenceville, and Marietta locations. I might give the nod to Marietta for better parking.

5 stars Went to Pappadeaux on a Saturday evening with an…read more8:30pm reservation--highly recommend booking ahead because the wait without one can easily hit an hour and a half or more! Parking is pretty tight, but once you're inside, the restaurant setup is amazing--big, spacious, super inviting vibe that screams fun Southern/Cajun energy. The staff was great, attentive, and really knowledgeable about the menu. The menu is real-deal Southern seafood with that authentic New Orleans flair, and everything tastes like it's cooked from scratch--no premade sauces or generic junk here. Quality was top-notch: fresh ingredients, made to order, and portions are generous. The fried shrimp and fried chicken were absolutely bomb--crispy, flavorful perfection . The catfish was well-prepared and flaky, but the real star of the show was the red beans and rice--rich, smoky, and just outstanding. Drinks are highly potent (in the best way) and the pricing isn't ridiculous for what you get. This wasn't my first, second, or even close to my last time here--Pappadeaux consistently delivers, and I'll be back again and again! Highly recommend if you're craving that true Southern seafood fix.

Public House is a staple restaurant in downtown Lilburn! I have not been back to dine in for a few…read moreyears, but the service was spectacular. My friend and I came in around lunch time on a Monday, little to no crowd. There is a back lot for parking or street parking in front. Our waiter Jessica (Shoutout!!) was so patient and gave 11/10 service. Thank you for the recommendations girl! We started with appetizers: Grit Fries & Crawfish Corn Chowder Soup -Fries were a very crispy outside, creamy inside and the dipping sauce was a slam dunk -Soup was very filling and had all the right flavors Main course: Breakfast Croissant (Gluten Free Bread) & Nashville Chicken Sandwich -Both very good and the fries were crispy, chicken was flavorful and not hot at all! Ended off with a berry cobbler that was so tasty! I left a new cobbler fan! Thank you Public House and I WILL be returning!

I had high hopes for 1910 Public House, especially after a trusted friend raved about their…read moreexperience there. Unfortunately, my recent Sunday visit for a takeout order left me thoroughly disappointed, and nearly $50 lighter with very little to show for it. The Food: I ordered two items: the pimento cheese fritters and the shrimp and grits. The pimento cheese fritters were, in a word, average. They looked and tasted like standard fried cheese balls--nothing visually impressive, nothing exciting about the flavor, and at $16 (or $4 a piece), I expected something with a little more creativity or punch especially at entree pricing for an appetizer. It was just pimento cheese, deep fried. That's it. Just as literal as could be. The shrimp and grits was the bigger disappointment. At $26, I expected a hearty, well-portioned dish. What I got was four average-sized shrimp and barely any andouille sausage--and I mean barely. It was just one thin slice of smoked sausage, cut in half, and placed in the entire dish. That was it. The portion felt light the moment I picked up the bag, and once I got to my friend'd and opened it, that feeling was confirmed. I will say, as an avid Yelp user I did my homework before ordering. I looked through photos on their page and noticed that their Shrimp & Grits looked completely different across three separate photos. When I asked the staff about it when I arrived, they mentioned the menu rotates every twelve weeks, which is fine, but the inconsistency made it hard to know what I was actually ordering. Atmosphere: I didn't dine in, but from what I could see, the space seemed nice. It's located in a charming, up-and-coming part of Lilburn, and the staff I interacted with were friendly and pleasant. So there's that. Final Thoughts: This meal was definitely not worth $50. It wasn't worth the drive, and honestly, it wasn't worth the effort. The food was underwhelming, the portions were stingy for the price, and the value just wasn't there. My friend loved the place, so maybe they caught a good day, but based on my experience, I don't know if I'll personally be returning. If I'm being honest, if I wasn't so tired then and it wasn't as far as it was, I would've just driven back, returned the food, and gotten a refund.
