Upon entering, there is a temperature check and hand sanitizer station. The gym is always very clean...I mean impeccable. It is strongly encouraged to wear a mask, but when using the cardio equipment you can choose to workout without a mask. In the cardio area, there are plastic dividers between the machines. So that is especially nice during these strange times we are in. The gym manager and fitness trainers are there during the day, and are always nice and greet you when you come in. All equipment are up to date and always working. There are also fitness groups. But I can't speak to that because I've never participated. I highly recommend this gym to all. You will be extremely happy with your membership there. In the meantime, continue to be healthy and stay safe folks!

If you have ever contemplated getting a personal trainer or joining small group training classes…read morebut were intimidated by the gym atmosphere of big burly men grunting, slamming weights down, and testosterone flowing out the door, you have to give Elite Custom Fitness serious consideration. I never thought I would join a "hardcore" gym, I thought working out at home was fine for my needs, but in November 2019 a lingering eating disorder reared its head and I found my health declining rapidly (It turns out that a food pyramid consisting of Cake, Cookies, and Kit-Kats is not healthy). It was time for a more structured approach to improving my physical fitness and overall health. I had driven past ECF for years and finally decided to do some online research then set up an initial consultation with Tim. He was amazing from the beginning; he was empathetic to my situation and able to propose a complementary plan that worked with my GP and Therapist. I admit, it was intimidating starting out but Tim quickly puts you at ease, starts out slow, focuses on technique and educates you to complete each move with the correct form and putting a focus on safety. My intimidation was quickly diminished. Everyone that trains or works out there is incredible, it was totally not the "meat head" atmosphere I was dreading, it is just a great group of people that discovered what a gem ECF, way up there on the hill, is. It has been nearly a year since starting with Tim and team. I have lost 25 pounds, replaced fat with muscle, and I am probably stronger than I have ever been. I don't regret a single day of the past year, except maybe when I added a third day a week to my training schedule that is dedicated to arms and I could not lift my arms that first week for two days afterwards, but that was a fleeting shock to my arms and now I love "Mega Arm Mondays". The hardest thing I had to do was walk through the door that first day. I am sure you can take that step as well; you won't regret it.

I am really, really glad that I did! Pros: *I got great fitness advice on exercise and diet. I run outside of my strength training and my trainers would ask about when I ran and how often so that they could coordinate it with my training sessions *One-on-one training with one (or two trainers) - your choice but also dependent upon scheduling *The gym is clean, well-maintained and inviting *There's a great focus on form and proper technique in order to avoid injury *The trainers are so much fun to be around - it was the first time in my life that I actually looked forward to stepping foot in a gym *Yes, I lost a good amount of weight and I gained muscle tone - exactly what I wanted to do - I chose the 3-month plan Cons: *It can be pricey but considering you are paying for one-on-one expert advice and guidance, it's worth the cost. Ask about their discounts for purchasing multiple months and for paying cash *It can be tricky scheduling sessions around work especially with four trainers and many clients - but don't let that scare you - they were often willing to work things out if a regularly scheduled session needed moved Forma gave me the confidence to go to a gym independently and I am now continuing my fitness journey. Miss these folks but you should give them a try. Stop in and talk to Mark, Karen, Rob or Ed and they'll tell you how they can help you achieve your fitness goals.

IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL. Avoid the senior general manager Jordan who is very unprofessional…read more I wanted to freeze my membership. Crunch couldn't do so in time because no one would respond to me in a timely manner/was not available. After 14 days, Jordan emailed me (since no one picks up the dang phone from corporate) and said they had to charge me for the $29.99 a month and then freeze immediately (so I pay for a month I can't use). This ticked me off, and I wanted to cancel instead. Jordan said they have to charge me another $29.99 to "reactivate" my membership to cancel. No refunds for last month that THEY couldn't cancel in time, no refunds for the $29.99 cancellation. I was NEVER told there would be a cancellation fee, nor should there be. Anywhere else I've had memberships to where my account has been frozen have been able to cancel for no fees. I asked for a higher manager and was told "I cannot give that information." I was told I would do a chargeback and was told "then we will reactivate your membership and fees." What kind of business is this?! It's a fraudulent, scummy business that I have told everyone I know not to go to. I went to unfreeze my membership to cancel it for good two months ago, and the person at the front desk told me it was already cancelled. Bizarre. I tried ClassPass and it's much better!
