About four months ago, we arranged for them to replace the windshield on our 2020 MB GLE, due to a badly spreading crack caused by a rock that a big rig kicked up (that was the second one for this car... GRRRR). It took about a week or so, but they were able to get the legit Mercedes factory glass we wanted, and then installed it quickly and as scheduled. The facility is very clean and nicely decorated, with a comfortable waiting area, and a break room that is open to customers. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, when we got a starburst chip caused by yet another rock kicked up by a sloppy truck driver who drifted onto the debris-filled emergency shoulder for no reason (jeez...so aggravating... feels like this car is a magnet for rocks!). So, we called up to see about another replacement windshield (this would've been our third, and those babies are not cheap), but they said they could do a repair instead. And, since we bought the glass from them less than a year ago, the repair would be free! Woohoo! The repair was extremely quick and easy, with no appointment needed. And while the starburst is still visible, it's very low on the passenger side, and the repair should keep it from growing into a full fledged crack. Considering the number of miles we spend roadtripping, the likelihood of yet another rock makes us glad not to have to buy more glass until it's absolutely necessary! They totally did not have to volunteer the free repair info, especially since we were already prepared to buy a new windshield. Cannot emphasize enough how very much we appreciate that level of service and integrity. We are moving out of Texas soon, but if we need glass work done again, and if we are passing even sort of close to the area, we will go out of our way to get the work done here. Blue star called me and gave me a quote for $360, he explained that most businesses use the camera recalibration as an excuse to up charge and that he wouldn't be disconnecting any wires when replacing my windshield. I was a bit skeptical at first, I was worried I would have to go get my camera recalibrated. (I have a 2022 Honda Accord). It's been 2 and a half weeks since I had it replaced and I've had no issues, camera still works just as good! I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a cheaper alternative than giving your money to the dealerships. I wanted to support a local small business so I hired this company to replace my driver side…read morewindow. Unfortunately the experience had a couple of significant issues that I can't overlook. Wrong Part Ordered: Right out of the gate, no one ever verified which window I needed replaced. The installer showed up with a windshield glass instead of a driver side window, which meant I had to wait an additional two days before work could even begin. A simple phone call or text to confirm the details beforehand would have completely avoided this. Installation Issues: Once the correct glass arrived, the installation didn't go smoothly either. The installer was unable to get the window rolling up and down correctly and ultimately left my door partially unassembled. After doing some research myself I discovered the window wasn't properly aligned with the side track. Once I aligned it myself everything worked perfectly. Bottom Line: The installer did offer a $75 discount which I appreciated, and he seemed genuinely eager to do good work. However at the end of the day I paid $250 for a job I largely had to finish myself. I'd suggest this company invest in more training before taking on jobs independently. I wish them well but cannot recommend at this time.

I got recalibration instructions from my car's manufacturer and it only takes around 15 minutes at the dealership and costs less than $50. Safelite won't let you skip recalibration and charged $500-$750 (it varied between quotes for the same windshield on the same car) and talked down to me saying I don't know what I'm talking about and the recalibration is really involved. They are either lying or are unaware of how to properly calibrate since my information came straight from the dealership. I'd rather spend more at the dealership and know it's done right than here. Also just to throw this in, the front desk person is very rude and acted very inconvenienced to have to do his job.
