Dip powder manicure
Rachael W.

Went for the first time and got a dip manicure. The nail tech was pleasant and I didn't have to wait at all! She did the design I showed her beautifully and it's been 2.5 weeks and my nails are still intact and looking good! Will definitely go back.

Nails By Lindsay - A photo of me in Vegas with my second manicure

I started coming here at the end of January 2025; I had gotten my nails done in Michigan while I…read morewas home for Christmas, and I had injured a finger by getting it caught in my car door. I asked around for a place that was good and would fix nails done by another salon, and the general consensus was to go to Nails by Lindsay in Feasterville. Well, the name alone was enough to sell me but seriously, this place is amazing! Steven in particular is so good at recreating the random nail inspo photos I bring in for my manicures. My nails are always beautiful, and they last for the 3+ weeks it takes me to make it back for a fill or a refresh. I had a spa pedicure there 2 different times, and both times were soothing and professionally done. They also offer free gel for all pedicures, so you don't have to worry about waiting for nail polish to dry before you can put your socks and shoes back on. They accept walk-ins, but I recommend making an appointment because they're usually busy. I think that's a good thing because it shows that people in the community like the shop and want to patronize it. As a side note, while I was there today, a woman with a young daughter came in to get pedicures together. Since the girl was young, they offered to use nail polish on her toes instead of gel and gave her a matching manicure on the house. I thought that was so kind, and the little girl seemed to love her red sparkly nails! I would definitely bring the little girls in my life here and will recommend it to all my friends.

I would highly recommend scheduling an appointment as they can be busy depending on the time of day and season. You know they care as they keep the facilities clean.

I can't say enough good things about Blooming Nails. My daughter wanted a nail design inspired by…read morethe anime & manga Jujitsu Kaisen, specifically themed after the character Sukuna. It was a tall order that included a full set, ombré, and hand painted lines, but Annie knocked it out of the park in less than 2 hours. This was my daughter's first time getting nails, and Annie was gentle and friendly, often asking her if she was happy with the shape and design. My daughter is thrilled (and I am kind of jealous of her awesome nails), so all in all I'm really happy we came to Blooming Nails. Thanks again, Annie!

I usually go to a European nail tech in Philadelphia, but since she didn't have any openings left…read morein June, I decided to try a nail salon. After searching around, I found this salon and noticed they had a 4.9-star rating on Yelp, so I decided to give them a chance. I only needed my gel nails shortened because they had grown out too much, and one of my nails had already broken because of the length. My nail technician was Annie. She was professional, friendly, and listened to all of my requests. There were a few differences compared to my usual nail tech. Normally, my nail tech removes the old gel using an electric nail drill, but here they clipped the gel nails shorter with nail clippers. I wasn't quite sure how I felt about that method, but it wasn't a major issue. Another difference was that my usual nail tech trims the dead skin and cuticles around my nails as part of the service, whereas that wasn't done here. I'm not sure if that's something you need to request separately, but it's something I normally expect during a nail appointment. Overall, I would give this salon 4 stars. They're relatively new and seem to be doing their best. Annie even gave me a short back massage, which was a nice touch. Most importantly, they were able to take me as a walk-in and help me with my overgrown gel nails, which had already caused me to injure one of my fingers. I'm grateful they were able to fit me in and take care of the issue.

I am far from an expert on pedicures beyond knowing that occasionally I need to have one, and that…read morea professional does it much better than I do. Well, I had one yesterday right down the street from my office at Fingertips & Tootsies, located in the basement of the Godwin Building on South State Street, Newtown (parking and entrance in the rear). This small business is owned/operated by Fern, a lovely woman who had worked there since her teens and knows from toenails. She put me at ease quickly, as she escorted me to the smaller of the two rooms, where there are two "thrones" for pedicures. None of those massage chair foot tub blue water whirlpool contraptions here. Everything is done by hand the old fashioned way. My feet were slipped into large plastic bags full of pink lotion, and then into heated plastic slippers that allowed my feet to get warm as the lotion softened my skin. Each foot was taken out in turn to permit Fern to use her tools to cut and clean around each toenail, after which she replaced the baggie on my foot to go to work on the other one. At the end, both were removed and she massaged my lower legs and feet. She slipped on my socks and I finished the job by putting on my shoes. The whole time we chatted easily about the community and some of the changes that were going on to update the business community. We had never met before, but knew many of the same people. It was enjoyable to gossip and joke with her about how things were changing in town. She was obviously highly skilled at her profession, and I literally walked out with very happy feet. $40 for 45 minutes of focused attention on my toes and feet seemed fair to me. The five minute walk back to my office was a delight. Five Tootsie Stars for Fern and her lifelong avocation.
