Worthwhile basement gym in downtown Greenville! Day pass was $20 for a nonmember. SO many options for leg press/squat/hack squat, especially on the safer side for bad backs. Came back to AZ wishing I had a gym more like Core. Only thing that would get old was the loud gym music playing over my AirPods.

I had impression that CORE24 would be a place of community and integrity. What started as casual participation turned into silent exclusion, with vague accusations made behind my back, damaging my reputation. I later learned this rumor had spread reaching family and personal contacts -- causing real distress and reputational harm. When I asked respectfully for transparency, I was met with deflection and silence. People deserve to feel safe from gossip and to be treated with dignity, especially in places meant to promote health and well-being. My experience was anything but that. Integrity, inclusion, and respect -- don't make it past the front desk.

There is childcare available so there are fewer issues with underage types in the pool or on the floor. And most of the members are either supportive or at least nonjudgmental. I have had very few problems, I think in my almost two years now I have only been maybe three days where something bugged me, and several really good interactions. The staff is also pretty cool, and I expand on them in their own section near the bottom of this review. I had placed cleanliness under the cons at a certain point but have to say the last few visits - at least for me as a swimmer who stays in the wet areas - have shown definite signs of improvement within the bounds of the humanly possible. So why not a full five stars - well... IFFY: As a swimmer, I have to say that now that it is summertime getting into the pool will always be iffy, require substantial social bravery, cooperation (and lane sharing), or will be impossible at certain times a day as crowds increase with the temperatures and also because Crunch rents out the pool to a local swim charity for lessons. Not saying this is a bad thing, it's awesome, but absolutely check the schedule before you go if you only have a limited time to be there like I do. Looks like 5-6 am and then 9 pm to 10:30pm are best for slow swims or beginners. And please, please, please - if you do swim here at least try to learn the basics of pool etiquette in advance. You can google the basics online. They are not in the contract or posted anywhere I can find and (rarely) conflicts can arise. I usually rely on the judgment of the affiliate program swim instructors when they are present. But really, just be kind, be courteous, and above all be patient. PARKING: here is ALWAYS an issue. You may have to circle several times. Also use turn signals. A lot of folks here come and just sit in their cars with the engine running after a session in order to rest. So signaling let's them know you are waiting. And DO NOT PARK in the FIRE LANE. This makes sense and is legitimate. If you choose to be a jerk and do it anyway, know this facility does not hesitate to tow people in that lane. STAFF: That said, please note these are NOT problems created by the staff here and that my original review for staff friendliness and atmosphere still stands, although the staff has changed. The new staff still seems to be pretty awesome, tho, with very rare exceptions.
