They are always closed for weather without updating online. Hard to keep a routine when they close for a week. Plus they overcharged me after I canceled one of my memberships. Switching to Carolina iron unfortunately. Great gym for 55+ not for younger people. Trainers are all out of shape as well found that weird. read more

A great fitness place. Attend classes or work out on your own Friendly staff and atmosphere No less than a 5 star rating read more

I've been coming to Sportsclub for over a decade and besides the machines and equipments which I use, it's the fitness classes that have me coming. So many great classes. When we joined, it was through the corporate program and we did Family plan. We were very excited when the Five Forks location was being built since closer to where we live, plus a longer pool here and also a hot tub, sauna, steam room too, plus locker room. read more

Love the fitness classes and have been a member for past eight years now. Music is too loud in some body pump classes. Most of the instructors adjust the volume upon request but recently one instructor has been most unprofessional, almost intimidating. Management was unable to curb her behavior so we have started avoiding body pump on the days when she is scheduled. read more

We've been a member of Sportsclub for over 6 years. Of all the features and amenities we enjoy, our favorite feature is that Sportsclub allows my brother (Army Captain stationed in Ft Bragg) to work out for free whenever he visits. Other places will offer a discount, but Sportsclub is generous to our out-of-town military service members for no charge at all, and this gesture is outweighs any other service they offer. GROUP FITNESS: The Group Fitness Instructors (hey Jesse!) have so much energy and personality! Some instructors even take it to the next level with turning off the lights and bringing club lights (hey, again, Jesse)! I look forward to each class wiith excitement and enthusiasm. I leave each class burning 500-700 calories. #boss ENVIRONMENT: The Five Forks location is always clean. The locker rooms, machines, equipment, and facility are constantly maintained. I enjoy reading in the courtyard before class begins. CHILDCARE: I haven't had to use the childcare feature until this year, and boy is it a lifesaver. As a full-time working mom, it's hard to grab time away to workout, so I am thankful for a friendly, caring staff to care for my little one while I can focus on fitness. Overall, SportsClub is a great place to be and I have always enjoyed my experience. read more

ACAC - Five Forks - Gyms Near Me - Simpsonville, South Carolina

I was very happy at the Sports Club in Five Forks. However.....this changed, I decided I wanted to add my family (additional 3) so that my wife and kids could do some classes and join the tennis program. When I went in, the membership advisor advised that new management the day before had added an administration fee to any member wanting to add additional members to the account. This information was not sent out to members so no notice given members. I spoke to to the operations manager Amy Farmer, who said she understood the frustration but could do nothing and would call head office. I never heard back from Amy. I sent an email to the sports club and upset about this and also saying that I would rather cancel my account then accept a fee to add members. Seems crazy that they would rather chose no member then a once off fee then have three additional members and tennis coaching etc... Anyway they cancelled my membership, they did not even bother to reply to my email, I just found out looking at the app. Clearly they don't care!!! read more

This review is about their Kids Summer Camps. My 8 year old attended both tennis camp (he loved it) and their day camp in Summer 2022. Both camps were great, he enjoyed them, and we will go back. However, if you are at all concerned about security, this is not your place. If you have a kid who is a "runner", don't come here. The doors are never locked. The week of the Uvalde school shooting, I came to get my son a few minutes early and walked right in to the open / unlocked building to find no one at the front desk. (This happened both times I went to pick him up a few minutes early, so I don't think it was an isolated incident). I could have grabbed a kid and been in my car in a heartbeat or god forbid, someone could have shot everyone in the camp with no one and nothing to stop them. read more

I thought the club is really nice. But when it comes to looking for a trainer that's another story. I called and texted the club trainer manager to set up a time to get pricing and talk about what all they do but haven't heard a word from him in three days. Poor service as of right now. May have to look another jump. read more

I like all of the classes, I wish there were more mirrors in the aerobics rooms for the les mills classes. I also think there should be shampoo and conditioner in the bathrooms. read more

ACAC - Five Forks - Monday, get er' done - Gyms Near Me - Simpsonville, South Carolina

Membership services told us they would be open until 8pm earlier in the day but after we drove all the way over to give them our business, the ONLY membership person left at 6. Gives me a solid idea of their service. read more

Favorite club in town! I've gone to all three locations, and Five Forks is my regular and favorite gym. But all three are fantastic. The staff is helpful and friendly, the facilities are well-equipped and clean, and it is a positive environment that makes me want to keep coming back. The express club in Simpsonville off of Main Street is less than half the price of the other 2 locations. Great options - something for everyone. Classes are included and are fantastic. Loyal member for nearly 3 years and many more to come! read more

This is the best gym I have ever been a part of. My entire family loves going together, and my daughter and I enjoy the large variety of group fitness classes we can attend together. read more

Joined since my daughter started on swim team. Great facility, friendly staff, clean and quality equipment. Doesn't hurt that I live less than 1 mike away. I have never been a fan of fitness classes, but I have attended a couple here and everyone is very inclusive and great instructors. I am now attending classes on a weekly basis. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone. read more

Good fitness facility overall. It does get a little crowded, and some locations lack what the others have equipment wise. Congaree rd. is definitely a great facility! read more

Gym itself is nice the people are great South Carolina people. Some of the workers treat you like family and I love that. But I think there's a huge disconnect between who ever owns this place and the people here so the star is really for them. Also the basketball is not fun if you are any good certain people will start a fight/argument I am to old for that. So I quit playing basketball and go for the weights. read more

Get fit in a great gym! Five forks location has it all, including day care. I have been using this gym for years and always something different going on. I really like member appreciation day for all the goodies. Best gym in Greenville! read more

had to cancel their gym membership due to relocation. i called them back in march and spoke to someone from membership, and they told me I had to come in to sign the cancel form. i went to the gym, but EVERYONE had left for the day! It was around 6pm btw. no manager on site, the front desk workers were the only ones available to help. there was a guy sitting on the back just chillin' (which I thought it was extremely unprofessional, considering he wasn't even in uniform). I left my phone number and all of my information. i got the fax of cancellation policy effective as of 4/30/10! (i'll be contacting my american express to fight this one). overall, the gym is nice. don't get me wrong. but i hate the way these companies try to get one more month out of you without stating it on the contract. if i'm relocating, how do you expect me to use the gym when i'm travelling all the time?! fly back to gsp just to use the gym? i don't think they're professional at all. im really disappointed in them. being a general manager of a business, i know that 1 bad review spreads to 20 people, 1 positive review tends to stick to max of 5 people. good luck sports club. read more

Like others that have posted here, had troubles canceling a membership. We had 3 members of our family signed up and my daughter moved, so needed to cancel just hers out for balance of time left, which wasn't all that long (approx. 6 weeks). Sport Club Five Forks would not prorate the membership from the day we advised them but, as others have found, insisted on doing it from the NEXT MONTH. The end result is that they would refund only 2/3 of the amount we were rightly entitled to. It's not that it was a big amount of money, it wasn't, it's the principle of the thing and I expected better from them. I found this to be very unprofessional and it will definitely make us think twice about renewing our membership, even though we like the facility. read more

Cardio equipment is outdated but there are plenty of machines. Free Weight area is dirty. Front desk staff are typically too busy on their phones or what have you to say hello or goodbye. For the membership prices I would expect much more. read more

VERY impressed by this place! We had to evacuate due to the hurricane and this place offered us a free pass so we could have a place to work out. It was awesome! I wish a place like this existed in Charleston! Very clean, great staff! read more

Great for individual or families. Facilities are nice, very clean. They provide towels. Have wet and dry sauna, pool, lots of equipment. It's very busy sometimes but you can always get as hime within about 5 minutes. The staff is cheerful. All other patrons are of mixed ages and body types. They make it comfortable to chat or just get on with your business. Kids like the pool and pickup basketball games. read more

We have been members since they opened and we love it. However it seems that the membership team needs to be better trained in customer relations. Tonight when I went in I was told that I had to speak to someone in membership. I said I was trying to get to a class and would stop by on my out. Michelle haughtily stated that she was membership and I had to go with her immediately. I felt like a criminal. What type of sports club crime could I have committed? The emergency? They needed a piece of paper stating that our children were over 26 initialed. People who are not properly trained but are given a bit of authority are dangerous. Such a shame to ruin a good thing by hiring people who treat paying members rudely. read more

Terrible customer service by heavy set lady at the front desk. Came as a visitor big mistake I will not come back. Not friendly at all and rude. Would never consider changing my membership to come here. read more

The Five Forks location was extremely unprofessional. After an employee made a mistake with my membership cancelation, they proceeded to treat me like I was a liar and were very rude. I continued to be charged and they wouldn't even return my phone calls and never reimbursed me for the charges. read more

We had our son in March 2011 and have now used the childcare facilities. They are great! Childcare costs an additional $15 per month for one child. Childcare runs during morning and afternoon hours every day during the week, mornings on Saturday and afternoons on Sunday. You can drop your child off for 1 - 2 hours (depending on age) and can use the gym or the spa. Also, you can drop off for one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon on the same day. We have always been happy with the staff and the environment. You can start children in their facility at 8 weeks of age. Also, they do a Parents' Night Out one night a month at each location (so three times a month, total). It's $18 for the first child, but there are activities and food for older kids and there is usually a theme to the night. PNO runs from 5:30 to 9:30 and it's always on a Friday, which makes it a great, affordable option for date night! We're leaving our baby there for the first time this coming Friday. read more
