On our 2nd need (which was an emergency situation), they took full advantage of us, charging 3x what others quoted after-the-fact. I had a leak coming from under our sink. I called one local plumbing service who rescheduled our appointment one week out, Top Service came to the rescue. They were able to send Ery the following day. He was polite and quick in completing his preliminary inspection on a Saturday. Jesse came on Monday to conduct a further inspection and give some options in fixing our slab leak. We selected to repipe our home. Everything was done in one day with the help of a very large crew. When hiring someone for plumbing leaks you can do your due diligence in researching the internet etc. but it is still a roll of the dice. You are truly at the mercy of their knowledge, character, monetary costs and caring about the client in solving the problem. I have found this company to be lacking in all areas. Without going into a long drawn out details I can honestly say I would never recommend this company or use them again. Here goes: The original quote was based on a more aggressive and time consuming project. They lowered the cost when it was determined the job was confined to a specific area less time and fix. Then changing the cost upping the price at the "last minute" in order to complete the job or walking "simple unbelievable and unethical". When you are told that your opinion doesn't matter and when you asked who the owner is they refuse to tell you, lots of red flags here. I wish you all the best in searching for a professional plumbing service. My advice is always look at how the company responds to negative comments from previous clients. We used Top Services plumbing back in May 2023 when we discovered a leak under our raised foundation home - Ery came out and discovered the main water line coming in from outside the home was corroded and leaking from said copper line - they said $1500.00 to replace it and being a Saturday we grudgingly gave the okay thinking replacing 10 ft of 3/4 inch copper line for that price was outrageous - it took 2 hours - being a businessman and costs of doing so - basically $70 in parts and $1430 in labor - makes them fetching $715 an hour- my Cardiologist gets $600 an hour and saves lives - these guys are not that professional - even engineers don't get paid that much - fast forward to yesterday - we had Top Services come out to repair a leak at our home and quoted us to $1800.00 to replace a 1 foot section of PEX - waterline - I said that is insane and the plumber got Jesse on the phone to which Jessie didn't offer any explanation to such high charges = basically too bad - he can charge what he wants - I told them we will find someone else and Top Services said you owe us $129 for the service call and I said nope - we found another company who would charge us $400- we went with them - after they examined the situation they found 6 other leaks - all vermin related where they chewed thru the lines - they also found where Top Services brought in the main line in their repairs in May 2023 - they didn't secure the opening in the wall where the pipe came in - we had the place vermin proofed years earlier - and Top didn't secure the steel mesh back over the opening - just leaned it against the wall - which allowed vermin to gain access and do damages - besides the plumbing - they attacked our walls and floors - again - no vermin issues 12 years prior - I contacted Top Services by E-mail this morning explaining the situation and requesting help being so we are both elderly veterans and not made out of money- and my wife is disabled and on oxygen - lets work out a deal to resolve the problem with their negligence to secure the work area - and as Jesse says : "leave the place in better shape than before" or something of that nature - I got a call from a Top Services lady claiming to be a manager - who said we are not doing anything to help and we have pictures showing the access area was secured - I asked for those pictures with no response other than good luck and don't ever call us again - Rude as heck - I was expecting an answer that they were willing to look into the problem and see what we could work out - I was not looking for something for free - but by their reaction I can only surmise they deny in hopes to have a customer to back down - I don't - there is professional curtesy and they lack in that ability - I ask again to Jesse to reach out to me before I decide on a quote to re pipe due to damages from another plumbing company - or take legal actions - I have to decide by the close of business on 12/23/2024 due to no hot water because of leaks and cold water leaks- my disabled wife needs those services for her health and well being - my next stop is the California Consumer Affairs complaints department - business contractors board - lets resolve this Jesse - read more

We had an issue with our valves connected to our toilet today. We called around 4pm and the lady we spoke to was super nice. She let us know that someone would be over around 6pm. She let us know the minimum charge since it would be after-hours. They're very honest! Anthony serviced our place this evening. He called beforehand to let us know he was on our way - very nice. He came in and checked it out and let us know the possible price. There would be a few things for him to look at before giving us the final price but right from the beginning, they're very honest and transparent! He was able to finalize the price and get everything done in half an hour!!!! So quick! Very professional, very kind. I appreciated that he put shoe covers on every single time he went in the house. Jessie the owner contacted me to help myself understand what may have happened. I completely see and understand what has happened, in fact if anyone reads my old review below. I see why one of the workers arrived at the house. Basically to make sure that the builder doesn't play a quick one on us. Anyway, our conversation ended great with a newfound respect for Jesse and his business. . . . . tldr: I feel robbed of $150 over miscommunication, the actual work was excellent the customer service not so much. This is a tricky review to write because, this isn't about the work done also I don't write very many reviews let alone 1 star reviews . The work done was excellent and the value was great! What killed it for me is the customer Service. We didn't see eye to eye no matter how long we were on the phone going back and forth. Anywho, this is probably a rare situation with this company but it still happened so... We were charged a $150 cancellation fee due to what I believe was miscommunication. Because of the miscommunication we the client had to pay the consequences... Most companies understand that miscommunication can happen, they call no foul and everyone walks away happy. But this company had the customer pay for it lol. We called for an appointment everything went well. Except, unknowingly there was a signing for what we thought was an invoice but in fact a contract. We have signed this "contract" on an iPad with a blank signature page maybe the screen was pre-zoomed in I don't know, except for the fact that the page was blank. Where we might of messed up is assuming that we're signing a invoice. Here's the thing... It's normally common practice for companies to explicitly say something along the lines that you're about to sign a contract or even let's go over the contract, none of which happened so we signed let me remind you, we we're thinking that it's a invoice. Anywho, a few hours passed and we got news that our house builder will repair everything free of charge. So we called top service plumbing and told them about the situation and not to send anyone. They said that they'll tell the workers off and make note of it. Finally the day to work is upon us and the workers showed up still although they shouldn't have, also... what about that note (miscommunication)? Naturally we had to turn them away, the problem though? A $150 cancellation fee, even though the supervisor/manager said that there is a 3 day cancellation policy in the contract that I don't recall signing... Well the day of work was exactly on the 3rd day plus the workers shouldn't have showed up... So I told them... Ok, I'll exercise that 3 day policy... Then literally the company said that I have exercised the 3 day policy but that the $150 is for credit card fees, not cancellation lol... Like "what the **** is exactly going on" is what I'm thinking... So I explained to them no one mentioned a $150 credit card fee for using a credit card, I mean when fees are attached to using credit it's quite obvious like all the cashier's from brick and mortar spots will tell you this kind of info, even my ice cream truck lady told me about added fees. But not this company apparently, they'll let you swipe away! Or perhaps they're not telling the full truth? I'm not sure but I'm sure that they have my $150 which fortunately my personal bank and builder both said they'll take the debt but that isn't the point. I feel robbed from this place and it really sucks writing this review because the work that they did do was real good... I understand that the customer isn't always right, they already made almost $600 from us for the work. Why not side with miscommunication and give back our $150? HORRIBLE SERVICE! I called yesterday 12/18 and was given a 2 hour window for today 12/19, between 8 and 10am. When no one showed up by 940am, I called to confirm someone would be coming, and was told they had a delay with a previous job (understandable, it happens, but a courtesy call would have been nice). I was given a new 2 hour window, between 12 and 2pm. At 1210 I received a text that the technician was on his way. Moments later, I received a call from the technician who told me it was a mistake and he was really not on his way. He said he was told to go to a different location before coming to my house. He could not give me a timeframe because he didn't know how long the job would take. The person on the phone (Brandy) was short and rude. She did not want to hear what I had to say and was quickly just willing to cancel the request instead of trying to satisfy a customer. I guess they don't need the business. This is the first time I leave a negative review on Yelp. As it stands now, I am waiting for service with an unknown ETA. Wasted an entire day for this company. I'm wondering if their work performance will be just as horrible. I have requested to speak with the owner, but I have not received a call. **UPDATE** After submitting this review, I received a call from Summer who identified herself as management. She was very nice and said she would give me the weekday rates, instead of weekend after hour rates. At 3:11pm a technician finally showed up to look at my garden drain. He quickly told me it would require a hydro jet. He went back to his truck to obtain pricing and returned to tell me they would give me a 15% discount and do the job for $840 but there would be no guarantee that hyrdrojetting would solve the problem and I would still be obligated to pay the $840 regardless. After waiting ALL DAY, and wanting to have the issue resolved, I agreed to the job. The technician then asked, "When do you want it done, tomorrow?" I was shocked that Top Service Plumbing would send a technician out without the necessary tools to do the job. Especially since I told them the issue over the phone. The technician told me if I insisted, he would go to Lake Elsinore and pick up the equipment and return in 2 to 3 hours. I denied their service since it would require me to take a day off work to have them do it tomorrow. The technician said, "No problem, that will be $98 for having us come out." This is ridiculous and very bad business. The technician was at my house for literally 15 minutes (evidenced by my cameras that recorded the interaction) and did ZERO work, except to tell me what I already knew it needed. I refused to pay $98 and the technician left. I called and attempted to speak to Summer about the issue. The after hours operator said she spoke to Summer and said management would be calling me about this issue later, possibly tomorrow. There are plenty other plumbing companies out there. I recommend you read the other negative (1 star) ratings for this company and you will see the negative complaints are similar to mine. read more

This is not a responsible company. The water heater could not be ignited in March 2019, they replaced the ignition coil, and the price of amazon was $25. They charge $285 and offer a one-year warranty. The same problem occurred again in the water heater in October 2019, and their workers said that this was not the same fault, which was the failure of the Gas Control Thermostat. This is not covered by the warranty. This is a new failure and requires more than $500 to replace parts. The same failure occurred again in just 6 months, with the first part costing $25 and they charging $285, which is an unacceptable price. It's even more unacceptable to charge $500 again. I think they are just trying to make money, not to solve the problem. The is also shirking responsibility. Their workers suggest purchasing New so they don't have to take any responsibility. I just want to remind them to choose their customers, we must figure out the root cause of the fault, this may not only be the cause of the surface failure, maybe there is a bigger problem inside, they will not tell you, because they wait for the next charge More maintenance costs. This is very unethical behavior! There is no solution to the essence of the problem at all. read more
