What could have been an extremely stressful process was relatively smooth because of her expertise and proactiveness. We had no clue what we were doing and would have been lost! We moved into a transitional neighborhood and Shannon bought into our vision for what we were looking for, even if it was a bit non-traditional. She asked thoughtful questions and paid attention to a lot of details that we would have missed when working with the builder we ultimately partnered with. I would absolutely call her if we were looking to move again and I've already referred her to friends.

Adam is amazing! I was treated really poorly by another lender and after gathering my information…read moreand sending it over I never got a returned call. Someone referred me to Adam and told me that he had really gone above and beyond to help someone they knew. I figured I would give it a shot. My credit score was good but was on a payment plan with the IRS, I worked for myself and had income that fluctuated, and a few other "unique" aspects to my situation. Adam took the ball and ran with it. He immediately started getting me prepared for underwriting. He explained the process to me all the way thru, and what to expect at each step. He assured me that he had run the numbers and that he felt that we would be fine, and although he remained cautious he continued to tell me he "saw no reason this loan can't get closed" - He continued to remind me to be 100% honest and stay the course. "I can help you deal with things when I know they are there, we just don't want any surprises." Well, ADAM GOT ME TO CLOSING!!! He also did it using 12 months income history and at a GREAT interest rate! Adam helped my wife and I make our dreams come true! Adam explained to me at closing: (Paraphrased of course) "See there are lots of programs out there that some lenders aren't even aware of. Good programs from Freddie Mac & others, that are designed to help people with specific situations. Like in your case, it was better for us to use a loan program that only required a 12 month income history. Some lenders don't even know about it, but I do my best to stay current & educated on all the most up to date programs. I try to ask the right questions up front & connect with my clients so I can do my best to get the deal done & get it done with the best program. They didn't call you back because they saw you as a hassle. I saw you as a challenging scenario but someone who had a dream of owning a home & I was going to do everything I could do to make that happen. Here we are sitting at closing & on a good, fixed rate, conventional loan - like I promised. You guys deserve this & earned this." I would recommend Adam to anyone! Thanks again Adam!!

We were looking to…read moreconduct a major renovation and expansion of a 5,000 sqft home that we had just purchased, and had contacted 5 different designers and builders back in late 2020 and early 2021. Lori and her team at Sweetlake easily won us over with their enthusiasm, deep expertise in both design and construction, modern aesthetic, and creativity. As we look back now, having worked closely with Lori during the last 21 months, we are very grateful because she truly helped us create the house of our dreams! We go to Lori with EVERYTHING related to our property - from design plans to City permitting to structural work (wall removal, foundation repair, pouring concrete slab) to mechanical work (plumbing, electrical, air conditioning/heating) to insulation, sheetrock, interior finishes (tile, flooring, fixtures) to exterior (stucco, drainage, wood decks) - basically ANY aspect of the home design and construction process. Lori has been doing this for 25+ years, and has gained tremendous experience and know-how, as well as relationships with a number of competent and cost-competitive subcontractors. In addition, post-construction phase, Lori is a wonderful resource when it comes to furniture selection, design/construction or procurement, and even repair! What we love about Lori is how down-to-earth she is, and how she is not afraid to do things herself and get "hands-on" to understand what is needed. One day, I found her in our bathroom on a high ladder, using a razor blade to scrape off glass glue from our wall tile. We have countless examples like this. I will also add that we have never felt pressure from Lori to spend more nor do anything more than we wanted to do. That said, since we love everything that Lori does for us, we keep thinking about more projects that we want to continue working with her on! We have been recommending Lori to all our family and friends in Houston, but really wanted to write this review to express how satisfied we are as her clients! Please do not hesitate to work with Sweetlake Interior Design. We have complete trust in Lori and her ability to continue making our dreams a reality! Thank you Lori - you are the best!!!
