November 2020 Warning: Baker Mortgage is the Worst. My last name is Baker and I'm seriously embarrassed for Baker Mortgage. I called in on Thursday October 29th, gave my current loan info to "Jay" who called back to obtain my e-mail address, and was advised that someone would get back to me the next day. TEN DAYS later, I wrote a personal e-mail to the owner, Cathy Baker, to seek help on a basic refinancing - no response - so three days later, I wrote to the "info" e-mail address stated on the website with the subject line "Refinance Help." NO RESPONSE to three separate inquiries. Normal business folks would at least respond with a note to say they were overly busy or whatever. -----Note: MY CREDIT SCORE is an astronomically high 828. I'm mystified at any business that that takes my mortgage information, assures me there will be followup soon, then refuses to answer my three e-mails. -----Please avoid Baker Mortgage, unless you enjoy being ignored. read more

The people who given 5 stars to this business is either getting paid to do the review or full of themselves. If I can give a zero star, I would. The owner of this business is a faster talker like a used cars salesman (or saleswoman in this case). She never return any of my calls nor would she has a courtesy to answer my call while she was in the office. At least have a courtesy to explain if she can or cannot get the loan approval or not. I first set up an appointment to meet with Cathy and her mortgage team to initially discuss my goals of purchasing my first home. I had heard ads on the radio Dave Ramsey show recommending her team as a mortgage lender, as well as online reviews I read when I was researching mortgage lenders to begin the pre-approval process before I hired a realtor to start looking for homes. Purchasing a home is one of the biggest life changing events. It can quickly turn into a nightmare if you deal with the wrong people . I tried big name companies such as rocket mortgage and even a local one called cross country mortgage only to be disappointed .
