Yes, there is VIP experience and parking available, but the typical experience is anything but easy. On my last visit, we stayed in a nearby hotel and took a shared ride in. The challenge? Getting out. Expect a half a mile walk to the Braeside station to get a shared ride back after the concert, unless you are up for leaving before the last 30 minutes of a show. There's plenty of staff here walking around and keeping things safe but some of the staff seem cranky and short when asking them questions. Some people are first-time attendees so maybe a little more patience is needed. To me, it's just common courtesy. One man at the North Gate was very rude. I do appreciate that the sound quality is great around the venue and the big screen on the lawn is nice.

What's unique about Ravinia is you can bring in your own drinks, food, blankets & chairs. Basically you can setup picnic style anywhere in the lawn. They also have a food court, beer venders and lawn chair/table rentals, so if you want to just show up, everything you'd want can be provided. As far as getting there, I'd recommend the Metra which is included with your ticket purchases. You can get off at Ravinia Park or Braeside. There is a parking lot, but you do have to get there early to get a spot. If the main lot is full, they have shuttle service from other local locations. Grab a crew, plan a picnic and enjoy live music under the stars!

A lounge with a wall of vinyl that you can select from and have the proprietor play for you is just a really cool idea and I'm amazed that more places don't offer this type of nostalgia. There is a tiny bar up at the front that the owner sells water, sodas (bottles and cans) and alcohol. There is a menu of drinks available that the owner can make for you or that he has available in bottles and cans. There is no food available, but you are allowed to bring in your own. There is a small private room to set up a table of food, place some tabletop games and listen to the music, host a meeting, have small gatherings or other type of event. They do offer different events in the main room and for the birthday I attended there; karaoke was then offered later that night. It seems there are some regulars who turn out for that so it's definitely a great neighborhood spot for regulars and newcomers alike. They also offer some board games and party games to make the your time there a lot more enjoyable with fun games, great music, and good vibes. I can't wait to visit again.

We had plenty of room and it was nice to have delicious beer, good food, and a pleasant view of this part of Highland Park. I've been here before when it had a different name, but it seems like little has changed. This is a well warn bar! Comfy seats at the bar and a smattering of booths and table with a homey feel - lots of wood and available light from the large front window. This is not a huge room by any means but it never felt crowded. Our group had mostly apps like guac and chips and a quesadilla or two. I tried a Kolsch lager and a Marzen lager both if which were a little cheaper than usual due to the Happy Hour Special of $5 a beer. Margaritas are $6 at Happy Hour. The beer was very good! We had a great waiter and being seated just a few feet from the bar meant no one went thirsty or hungry for long. On past visits I was seated on the back patio but we had rain on this most recent visit, and it's also March! (Patio season does not start in the Chicago area for at least another month or month and a half!) The patio is a nice little wood fenced in area with lots of tables and a back tap bar. Not sure if that set-up is still the same.... This is a great local bar with a lot of rustic, homey charm. I'd definitely recommend if you want good local beer in a friendly old-school bar.

Called the box office and they were of no help in buying tickets for will call. We saw One Night in Memphis on Nov. 23. The performers were good, dedicated to playing their artists. The bad part of the theater? The sound - they cranked up the instruments and we could barely hear the performers sing. I felt bad for the performers trying to be heard over the drums and electric bass. Another downside was the lack of the ushers and staff with seating. It didn't seem to matter much where people sat as long as no one complains. Not sure this is good for honest people who pay for decent seats. When we got to our seats there was a couple already sitting in our seats. They claimed that the box office sent them to our seats because they got kicked out of their balcony seats. Without having an usher nearby, we had to take care of it ourselves. They begrudgingly moved to the next set of free seats in the box grumbling about how they should have stayed in their seats. The people with tickets to their relocated seats showed up and the balcony couple again claimed they were placed there by the box office because they were told to leave their balcony seats. They were finally moved by an usher. I noticed them sitting across the theater in the empty box seats, not balcony. I guess no one checks tickets. They must be pros knowing not to pay $75+ a ticket, but to pay a lot less for balcony and sit in premium seats because no one will check. Other than this irritating situation, the show was okay. Parking was easy and free which was nice. Overall, I think we'd be back only if there was a performer we must see, but we will not be paying for main or box seating prices. It's a small theater.
