I asked to play a few teles and check out what they had out but nothing was well set up, then I couldn't find a cord or working amp. I went to ask for a cable but dude was gone so I looked at T shirts. The racist T shirt is enough to give this place a bad review, but they brag about it on their website and the owner brags here yelp about so I guess they are proudly racist? Anyway all of the guitars were a little overpriced and inconsistently set up, the stuff behind the counter was more overpriced (and there was no one there to help if I wanted to play something) and I didn't want to wait around just to further inconvenience dude by asking another question. Dude came back out just as I was leaving and I couldn't get out the door fast enough. I should add - if I had found a good tele for a reasonable price I would've bought it and tried to ignore the racist T-shirt. Yeah, I would give them one star because of the overt racism but it's really just not a very good guitar store. There are better options in STL with no politics involved, better prices, better variety, and better everything.

I just bought the Alvarez AG60CE back in January, through Guitar Center, who told me that since I…read moredidn't buy their warranty for this brand new guitar, I had to go to the Alvarez distributor in the country, in St. Louis to have it fixed The problem is, Alvarez is a shitty Guitar, banking on big names like LR Baggs to sell their garbage. The L.R. Baggs electronics were completely shot on this guitar... Even the tuner didn't work. They said they would fix it for me, but I had to pay the $160.01 to ship it to them, first. That's right. Alvarez built me a defective guitar, then made me pay an additional 40% of the price of the guitar to fix their own mistake. If anyone really wants an Alvarez guitar, I highly recommend buying a used one. I wonder how long L.R. Baggs is willing to take a hit in allowing the Alvarez brand to cost them money before pulling out themselves.

First, it is not the store's fault you didn't purchase the warranty, second, the store followed policy to the letter, third, if you knew what you were buying in the first place, why did you buy it? A one star review on a store because YOU were uneducated is YOUR fault, not theirs. I have never had a bad experience there. Maybe because I am a professional musician and know how to tell a good instrument from a bad one. Kudos to knowledgeable and helpful staff, and a great selection of instruments.

I've only been in a handful of times and he remembers me and my son as well as what instruments he plays. This is a true family establishment and provides the service that you won't find at Music & Arts or Guitar Center. Miller is great for pianos, lessons, and instrument rentals. We started through NEMC on a quarter size violin. Once we paid it off, we were able to go up to a half size, then 3/4, and finally we were given a full size with no further payments. Granted, not a professional quality full size, but I definitely got my money's worth. He has a wide variety of music and knick-knacks. Also, during non COVID times he has snacks the kids can purchase. Basically, this store is a gem and we are lucky to have him as a part of the Metro-East music community.

I was thinking about selling my old upright piano, but didn't know what to really expect, and so I called Ray at the Piano Factory. At the time I called him, I could hear that he was under the weather by his voice, but he nevertheless spent a lot of time answering my questions. He was very patient, kind, responsive, and most importantly, honest. Even though he could have bought my piano and re-sold it for higher, he honestly told me that if it were him in my shoes, knowing my decision-making considerations, he would just keep the piano in family.
