The Crestwood location has been helping me accumulate quite a bit of musical equipment for many years. Here is my take on a particular one star review ( I am sure you will see it, probably under this one. First, it is not the store's fault you didn't purchase the warranty, second, the store followed policy to the letter, third, if you knew what you were buying in the first place, why did you buy it? A one star review on a store because YOU were uneducated is YOUR fault, not theirs. I have never had a bad experience there. Maybe because I am a professional musician and know how to tell a good instrument from a bad one. Kudos to knowledgeable and helpful staff, and a great selection of instruments.

She's immediately rude, confused and audibly ignored after a simple question of whether or not the guitar comes with a case. She exhales deeply when I ask if someone can verify the condition for me. We've been on the phone for less than 2 minutes. She hangs up the phone after I ask whether or not she wants to sell it to me. So I went online and spent $1000 on reverb instead. If I was her manager and had overheard this phone call in person, I would have fired her on the spot. I would avoid this guitar center. This is one of the bad ones.

Great selection and service!…read more Being musician isn't always good times. Sometimes I need to make decisions on gear, and certain places are more helpful than others. If someone is short or unhelpful, odds are I will take my business elsewhere. Fazio's Frets and Friends knows how to help someone with tough decisions. I'm always looking for the next sound or addition to my collection, and Fazio's carries a pretty nice array of guitars and accessories. As far as local and independent, they might have the best selection of guitar pedals. I could plug in and goof around for hours! Recently, I purchase an overdrive pedal from them, and the associate was patient and helpful during my two visits. Yes, it took me TWO visits to decide. If you're looking for electrics or acoustics, they have plenty to choose from, whether you have the spread to purchase American standards or cheaper Mexican models. Sometimes they get in cool and unique pieces that Guitar Center isn't likely to carry. If you want to avoid the corporate instrument stores and shop local, Fazio's is a great alternative to your neighborhood Guitar Center.

But as my…read moredaughter is learning to play and progressing it's necessary to see what's out there and what she is going to need. And after I went to several stores with poor customer service or a wall of Chinese junk, I found this Gem of a store in my own town. 8hrs of learning what I could before going in so I knew some basics and not to waste their time. But that didn't matter. Dillion and the other gentleman that was there literally bounced back a answer as fast as my neurotic brain could fire questions at them. And their answers opened me up to even more questions. No problem, they had the answer. THESE FOLKS KNOW GUITARS... bottom line. Not only the construction, the history of little obscure companies but the reasons why they build them the way they do. And the repair what they sell and customers pieces as well. I didn't buy today but even if I don't end up buying from them, without a doubt they will be the go to shop for maintenance, repair and upgrades. Or just go to go dream wishing I had even the slightest musical ability to play one of them. Please don't forget these mom and pop shops, this is the kind of customer service that you have to usually fight tooth and nail to get.

When I've visited, the staff has always been pleasant and have seemed to understand the concept of Service. I would have been happy to give them a Five Star rating, if it weren't for poor communication. When I dropped my instrument off, the tech told me it would be about a week. I was informed after a couple of days, that they were going to order an additional Tuner set because the one I provided wouldn't fit exactly (I was informed that they would have had to drill new holes in the head, which I didn't really want). The length of time to receive the new part was crazy, until I sent a note and learned the Tuners were miraculously there. Then, when they went to install the new Tuners, they found they had ordered the wrong size and would still need to drill holes in the head-- like the problem that started it all. I was finally able to pick the Ukulele up after 3.5 weeks. Upon review of the work they did, it seems they did a great job. I'm happy with their work! But, as, I mentioned, I didn't give 5 stars because of poor communication.

Eva is thoughtful, knowledgeable, and tailors her lesson to meet her student's needs. Unlike other voice teachers that impose a specific technique on all their students, Eva takes time to figure out what her students need. I had a voice lesson with another teacher once before, and I had a hard time getting over the vulnerability of being loud and filling a space with my voice. When I started working with Eva, she made me feel so comfortable and safe, and helped me get to a point where I could laugh and not cringe at myself. From there, progress came quick and with that, increased confidence. She helped create core memories for me through the coffee shop showcases that she set up for us. I've been on stages and competitive fields before but being up there with just me and my voice is a feat I'm most proud of. And in terms of my technical improvement, I felt my range open up and I feel as though I was able to sing more songs comfortably. Now, it's like I can actually color the songs/express myself in a rich, full way and not just worry about hitting the notes. Singing was always fun but now it's FUN. I love that my voice isn't something that I just have, I know how to evaluate it, color it, exercise it, and improve upon it. It's a skill that's a part of me now, that I can nurture and grow. My work schedule's getting in the way of me continuing this year but I hope as soon as I get some control over schedule, that I get to return. Anyone who's able to take my spot on her schedule is a lucky student :)
