Disappointed to even have to leave a bad review, but we can't in good conscience not warn other homeowners who elect to use Top Notch Septic. The Owner talks a very good game when he meets you, however, this is where the customer service ends. We had a $22,500 system installed and it was, and has been, nothing but a disaster. When the workers arrived on site, they were confused as to what needed to be done and where the system went. When we objected to our entire back yard being torn up, the "plan was changed" to move the pipes through the front yard to the septic tank in the side yard. They originally INSTALLED the tank over 1 1/2 feet ABOVE grade. We were originally told "this is where it needs to go"; however after consulting our neighbors and another company; we learned this was not correct. Finally reached the Owner who stated "no it should be level". The next day the tank was dug back up and reinstalled below grade. When questioned about the location of the other system, which make no sense where it was installed, we were again told "this is where it has to go". Although our septic tank is in one side yard, they literally destroyed every single sprinkler zone we have without our knowledge. The pump itself was literally left on a paver brick with the hoses and cords left laying on the ground. Huge piles of rocks and dirt were left in our front yard and near the road; they did not properly grade out our yard and broke a corner of our driveway off with their equipment. Beyond that, when the job was "finished" we requested three times that the Owner meet us to go over the issues we had with the quality of work and the way our Property was left. Although he promised to come out, he sent a worker to "make us happy" and who stated "he was to do whatever we wanted him to". The whole point in hiring a "professional" is for them to do a quality job. This clearly was not the case. It is going to cost us several thousand dollars to repair the damage to our sprinkler system; driveway and yard. I have texted and called several times following up and requesting warranty information and the Owner still has not extended the courtesy of a response. Lesson learned. Choose your contractor wisely. read more

Provided us with pictures of the location and installation of the septic field from the Health Department. Recently we were desperate to have our septic pumped. Upon calling Top Notch and speaking with Steve he inidicated that they could come the next day which was a relief as most companies were two weeks out, but we really needed service that day and he and his crew came late in the afternoon to get the pump-out ready for when the truck could arrive. They finished pumping close to 8:00 pm and still had one more to do. The grass was dug up so you would not even know we had it pumped. He and his guys were highly knowledgeable on septic systems. And the part I loved the most was he did not have to come over the culvert and onto our concrete driveway as we are on an acre and my septic is in the backyard - therefore i did not have any worries about my driveway.
