This is a RUDE LOCATION I came her with my mom. As we get proceed to walk in the guy was hella rude. He over talks. He tells me to pay in advance without even getting my service done. But I witnessed a lady that paid after this place is very racist and I wouldn't recommend. After asking the guy why I had to pay in advance he said because he didn't know me but knew the other people and allowed them to at after their service. took my teen here for graduation nails on May 8th by May 12 all of her false nails had falllen off !!! I call today because my daughter was away at her grandparents and I just realized she had no nails,manager says sorry should have called when 1 nail fell off now I can't do anything but give you discount for next service. Well I'm not going back comsider the week prior I got my pedicure done there and tech straight up messed up my nails as well! Run!!!!! Overpriced junk salon!! I'm going to be generous and give this place 3 stars because they were so friendly and their dog snowball is so cute I don't think this area will ever compare to the places I use to go to in San Diego. I miss home so much especially miss the best nailshops. The lady didn't really clean my toes nails, I know good pedicures where they cut the cuticles and all but she just moved the tools around my cuticle nail bed Update: its only been 2 days and my nails already look like they are a week and a half old. I'm so dissappointed thinking that saving a couple of bucks going here was a great idea... NOT!! Ladies spend that extra $ cause its worth it in the long run. read more

I was in Fairview yesterday and stopped in at Top Nails. They claimed that they did pink & white nails, but they don't. I ended up with white tips and pink nail polish. When I questioned the technician, he became argumentative and claimed that he does it differently and it is "more better." I don't care if his technique is different, as long as I end up with pink and white acrylic nails. That was not the case. And, they look terrible. I shouldn't have paid, but I was shellshocked at the time. The pedicure was awful too. They did a great job smoothing my feet, but the nails are sloppy and the massage was almost nonexistent. I should have taken the Que when I noticed that the store was empty. Save yourself the aggravation. read more

My boyfriend lives in the area, so when I came from Chicago to visit and needed my nails done BAD I settled to stop in for a quick mani/pedi. WOW! The place is disgusting and I considered just turning right around and walking out but felt bad since I was the only one there and they all perked up once I walked in. So, I gave it a shot. Pedicure was less than average. All the materials she used were gross and dirty looking and the polishes to choose from looked like they had been sitting there for years. There is paint all over my nail beds, but thats ok because it's just my feet. Next I had a gel "no-chip" manicure that was done by a girl that was in high school. It took her AN HOUR AND A HALF to finish my nails and they still look HORRIBLE (paint all over my fingers, uneven filing etc.). I went directly to my car and refiled them upon leaving. The only pro I have is that the prices are pretty good. Coming from Chicago where I'll pay upwards of $60 for a mani/pedi, the $40 I paid was cheap... but over priced for the horrible job done. read more

I'm not usually the type to complain, but this place needs to be shut down. I needed my nails done for an event and going down the street all the other nail salons were packed. I had never gone here before and there was only one other person in here so I thought I'd give it a shot. Upon entering, I should have left right then. It's so disgustingly dirty in there, there are filthy futons, moldy food under the table, the towels were all disgusting, and it smelled terrible. Against my better judgement I asked for a French manicure, simple enough right? Wrong. She just kept scratching my nails with files (I've gotten my nails done plenty of times and they've never done that) and then when she put the polish on it was so sloppy, jagged, and only covered the top middle part of my nail, it didn't even extend to the width of my nail. I asked her to clean it up because it was so sloppy, so she goes over it again but somehow just makes it worse. At this point I've wasted so much time there I politely just ask if I can just take it off and go so I could get it done at a different salon, because I knew she wasn't going to be able to do a decent job. At this point the old man starts yelling at me for a good 10-15 minutes and says he's going to call the cops on me. The other woman that was also getting her nails done chimed in that I should just go and that I shouldn't have to pay for a bad nail job. Finally he sticks my hands in a bowl full of polish remover, which burns terribly because they were so rough in filing my nails and kept cutting my actual skin. Then he files it all off and yells at me to leave. This was the worst experience, do yourself a favor and stay away from this place!! read more

The place wasn't busy, but that was good for me because their service was very attentive. I'll say it wasn't the best mani-pedi I've ever had, but it was a calm environment, the staff was pleasant, my nails looked better than then they did when I arrived and I got to relax for a while....ALL for a VERY inexpensive price. read more

We went here because all the other nails shops were crowded, and this one had only one customer inside. My mom and I don't get our nails done often and when we do we think of it as our "spa day". Plus, we're real cheap and the prices here are super affordable. Welp, we went in and the place was pretty dirty. Unorganized...tv up loud. The lady greeted us but wasn't as pleasant as I would've liked. We walked around trying to find a decent color of nail polish, which was HARD to do because they all looked as if they'd be sitting there since 1998. I didn't want to offend them by just walking out, since she kept asking us "Do you know what color you want?" over and over again (big mistake--we shoulda walked out). They were very impatient. Mind you, we were now the ONLY two people in the shop. It's not like we were spending 10 minutes picking a nail polish; it was 3 minutes tops. Anywho, we finally pick a suitable color and sit down at the stations.I had the husband, who was a bit rude and man-handled my hands but was very meticulous when applying my nails and the polish, which I appreciated. The attitude though, I could pass on. My mom got the wife. LOL now her experience wasn't so fortunate. The technician put her hands in warm water, put lotion on them, and then wanted to start putting on the polish. Now, if you've ever gotten your nails done you probably understand that filing and shaping is pretty standard. Nope. Not for this lady. Mom asked if she was planning on doing any shaping or filing of her nails (at least trim the cuticles and sides)...her response was "your nails are already low". Never mind that they were uneven, sharp edged from breaking...We get nails done about 3 times a year, so our expectations are not high whatsoever. My mom did eventually get her nails shaped and filed by a frustrated and heavy-handed technician. And that wasn't even the worst part: Her nail polish was everywhere. It's all on her cuticles, sides. lol It looks like I did them for her (which is a bad thing, trust me). Never mind when another customer was coming in. The man started rushing on me. I guess I was in the way? lol Back to the cleanliness. On my way to wash my hands in the back of the salon, you pass by these rooms on the left side that are absolutely FILTHY. I'm assuming people get waxes back there O_o. The only bad thing I noticed about the sink is that the brush you use to clean your cuticles with (which we didn't need because they didn't even touch our cuticles) was sitting out and not in any disinfectant. It was extremely dirty, as if it's been used a bunch of times before getting cleaned. Gross. The overall salon was sloppy. The carpet was dirty, but the chairs were comfy. You dry your hands under a florescent light. I suppose it worked :-/ but it was definitely a first for me. We hand to sit at the drying station for a looong time. Sorry that this is so long. I feel bad for writing a negative review about a local business, but I feel it justified in this case. Honestly, the best part of our experience was watching this show on the Travel Channel about fast food in other countries. Yum. The also had mangos but the register, which looked pretty tasty too. The end prices was only 23 bucks for a fill-in and a manicure. The nail in the coffin was after we paid, and the guy acted like he did us this big favor. Barely a thank you after giving him our money. Should have gone with our gut instinct and fled from the beginning, but for what it's worth I got to spend time with my mom. Glass half-full? I would give it 2 stars, since my nails don't look bad, but the service was so unpleasant that I can't bring myself to doing that. I now understand why they are always so empty. read more

My sister and I went there in October of 2012, both of us wanting new full sets of 'pink & white', we asked when we walked in if they did pink & white 'powder' and they said yes. However, once they got the 'white' on, they then 'painted pink over it and the clear 'top' coat that is suppose to last for two weeks started peeling off the next day. My sister also got a mediocre pedicure and quite honestly, I was not happy with the conditions of the place, it was dark and dirty. I was so hoping this place would be good because its so close to my Weight Watchers meeting location and Curves workout location. I will not be going back there and would never recommend it to anyone. read more

I have to add to the other terrible reviews because I truly believe this place should be shut down. The filth is almost unbelievable. I did not see one tool in disinfectant, which made me wonder if I was going to get nail fungi for the first time. I have never seen so much dust around a public business in my life. The owners poor dog hangs out in the shop inhaling God knows what all day, and force fed French fries. The worst part of the filth, is the tupperware with food lying around the shop. I seen it on random tables, the microwave, the FLOOR, as well as a table in a mysterious corner :| absolutely disgusting. On to the actual service. I get the "no chip" gel polish. The male owner and I went back and forth about the "two kinds" of gel polish he had. One was the kind I always get and the other was some "soak off with water" crap. I had to make sure I was getting my normal. Anyone who gets gel polish knows when choosing a color, you look at sample templates versus the bottle. Not this place, prepare to browse through a dirty dusty basket full of bottles. Good luck choosing a color. He barely prepped my nails, while giving me a hard time of peeling my last gel color off rather than having him do it. He shaped my nails into worse shape than before, I didn't wash my hands ONCE and I desperately wanted to. Polish was everywhere. WORST MANICURE IN MY LIFE. Furthermore, I got my brows waxed which the female owner did AFTER eating her weird smelling food. She put this random dirty headband in my hair (now I thought I was leaving with fungi AND lice) and wrecked my eyebrows. Waxed half of one away. Completely unacceptable. Total was about $20. You pay for what you get. Like others, I should have went with my gut and walked right out. Never again. You all have been warned. read more
