Our precious fourteen year old female was called beautiful and had pics taken of passerby's. When we picked her up after her being there for three hours or more ( every visit the same amount of time ) we just wanted to get them home. With her we noticed immediately her " beautiful fan tail " was no more. Her hind leg had been shaved to the bone. The shaver got away from one of their employees and that employee was not honest enough to report it. And if it was reported to his or her employer when we picked up our precious dog the incident was ignored and she was handed over to us like nothing ever happened. Now, a few months later she still has the large bald spot on the back of her hind leg where no hair has grown.. Her tail is completely butchered it hasn't grown out to its " beautiful fan wave" for a Collie after all this time. " I cant imagine what she was put through" being there! Our two year old male dog the most loving ever had his face completely missed his beard went over his lip. I trimmed it myself. I'm grateful our male dog hadn't gone through the trauma our precious female had gone through. I personally feel that someone there ( management) should be taking responsibility by checking while dogs are being groomed by ( newbies ) or any employee in any manner. I feel my female dog was left with a newbie and was not given the attention to this employee that he or she needed with managing. My daughter and I were under the impression that the woman that met us outside( same woman that groomed twice before ) asked how we'd like their grooming taken care of would be the one attending to both our dogs we trusted her grooming since she had done both our dogs twice before and we were happy with their outcome We had made recommendations to friends about Animal Oasis.We put our trust in the woman who greeted us who seemed interested in our concerns towards their grooming. This business failed my dogs and us. We should have looked at the grooming before paying the $100.00 per dog and not given the tips. I've never had to write up a complaint I waited hoping my female dog would grow her beautiful hair back to its original shape " Not" ! The Animal Oasis deserves this complaint. If you go to Animal Oasis after my complaint ask questions like who will be attending fully to my animal and look carefully after the work has been completed to your satisfaction before tipping. Get names, your dog is part of your loving family and should be treated like so.

I was also feeling like my vet in Reno was putting greed first and animal care second with the way they were nickel and diming my every visit. The prices and care my pets receive at Fallon Vet Clinic is far superior to my last vet so I'm very happy with the switch. My smaller pup is on 3 different medications and Dr. Storms staff have been very accommodating when I call to request refills. I try to be respectful of their 48 hour refill time period but a few times I've been in a pinch and they have gone above and beyond to accommodate my situation which I'm very thankful for. One time I had an emergency situation when my bigger dog ate a weeks worth of my smaller dogs meds when we were out of town. I called the clinic and they sprung in to action to help me make sure my bigger dog didn't get sick and then sent a refill for the meds to the nearest pharmacy where I was. They turned a stressful situation in to a manageable one. My smaller pup is nearing 10 years old and had a couple of cracked teeth and needed a dental cleaning. Dr. Storm quoted me a price for the procedure and I was pleasantly surprised when I showed up to pay the bill that it was less than my quote. Their ethics and integrity are valuable to me and I'm happy to recommend this vet!

Maybe because I'm from California I've never had to do that before but it is supposedly because people don't show up for surgeries. The area that we saw was made up of two large rooms with couches and many medium and large dogs milling about. When we initially brought Misha they moved some of the dogs to another room so she would not be overwhelmed. We watched from windows in the office as she acclimated quickly and found a spot on one of the couches and eventually other dogs joined. It was just like being at the dog park and she seemed to do just fine. We will absolutely bring Misha here on our next trip! Everything was so easy, they make the process quick. We did not even have an appointment, we just called in about 15min before arriving. They asked us to email her vaccination records which we did on the spot. Thank you for taking great care of our baby! So happy with the service.

Every time we go on vacation, all year round we know we can count on Truckee-Tahoe Pet Lodge! From the start Gunnar has loved staying at the Lodge! He gets super excited the second we get off the freeway, he drags us in, because he knows exactly where we are! When we pick him up we have one seriously tired pup on our hands! He sleeps the whole 3 hour car ride home and even for a day or two after we get home! We have had him stay at the lodge for varying lengths of time ranging from just an over night stay to up to 2 weeks! And every single time he is a happy boy when we pick him up and completely worn out! He has stayed a couple OTHER places before, places closer to home, and we had trouble with a few things... his high energy being too much to handle as well as him not taking kindly to the owners (never trust anyone a dog doesn't trust, they have great instincts, and I know that now ) ....BUT NOT WITH the Truckee-Tahoe Pet Lodge! This place loves our high energy boy and greets us with a smile every time we come through the door! The staff is super educated, loving and very attentive! There was one time we dropped him off and told them he wasn't feeling well... they kept a close watch on him and was on the phone with us giving us updates on his status and even gave recommendations for a vet visit (well advised, as he was very sick and losing weight quickly). By ALL MEANS, I would TRULY rather drive 3 hours away from home, to drop him off here, and fly out of Reno, for any vacation we go on RATHER THAN leave him ANYWHERE else! Give this place a try and you won't be sorry!! THANK YOU TRUCKEE-TAHOE PET LODGE! The Andrews clan loves you all!

WARNING: my dogs almost died here…read more I want other pet owners to know what happened to my two Shih Tzus after staying at Truckee Tahoe Pet Lodge in the month of May WHAT I FOUND AT PICKUP: Both dogs were trembling, dizzy, extremely weak, dehydrated, vomiting, and had diarrhea. They could barely stand. I also noticed an unknown topical substance applied directly to the skin on their backs -- something I never gave permission for and was never told about. A vet later confirmed skin scabs. THE STAFF'S RESPONSE: Nothing. Staff said nothing about their condition and acted visibly nervous. THE COST: $700 in boarding fees, $500 in OTC medicine and supplies to nurse them back to health, and $600 in extra hotel costs because my dogs were too sick to travel home. Nearly $1,800 total. I have filed formal complaints with Animal Control and the BBB. Please, if you love your pets, board them somewhere else.

I called her back and she said she couldn't help me, she was too busy! I said I was going to call another facility and she said "fine" and hung up. I'll never call them again!
