My dog Roxanne had an appointment to be put down on January 21 of this year, just 6 days after my son was born. Obviously this is a very depressing situation as it was, I'd had Roxy for 13 years and she was my soul dog. She grew up with me and was everything to me. My main point I guess is I'm disappointed with my final memory of her being me begging my mom three separate times to ask someone to please grab Roxy off the floor after she finally passed because I couldn't bare to think of her alone on the cold tile floors especially considering the door was wide open into the lobby for everyone to see my now deceased dog... I'm not sure if it was a staffing issue or if there was simply too much going on at the time to come and collect her but I worry for future pet owners. Edited to add, I'd like to note I do understand that not every euthanasia is the same, I had just previously gone through the exact same process a few months before with our other dog Penny. You are correct that we had brought my moms dog Bailey with us to that appointment to put Roxy down but we had also brought Roxy to put penny down and had the door closed though I will say I don't remember if we had asked either time for the door to be closed or not. My frustration comes from the fact that we had already gone through multiple blown veins in the first injection (would also like to note I don't blame the vet for this, it was just unfortunate due to my dog being elderly) then after the second injection we waited until she had passed and I had my mom ask for someone to come grab Roxy, we were told someone would be out shortly and we had to ask two more times until my dog was finally collected.

Ben suffered a serious neurological event and declined rapidly over several days. Through every step of that journey, Dr. Vasquez was extraordinary. She was responsive, compassionate, and thorough -- answering our emails, ordering bloodwork, coming out a couple of times and keeping us informed and supported as we navigated impossible decisions. When it became clear that Ben was suffering and it was time to let him go, Dr. Vasquez went out of her way to come to our home on short notice so that our boy could pass peacefully in familiar surroundings rather than in an emergency clinic. That gift is something we will never forget. Her assistant Ashlee was equally wonderful -- kind, gentle, and present in exactly the way you need someone to be with a fearful We have enrolled our other two dogs in her care and will be relying on Stephany for both of them going forward. Stephanie was very professional, attentive to Roo and she proceeded with the exam of my sweet pup.. ROO was very calm and relaxed in her lap and also Ashlee's lap.. She watched my Roo and decided a few things that Roo will need in the future. Very thorough and caring. Roo got her needed vaccines , Roo has anxiety so she prescribed a mellow out pill. Call them for professional animal care. So happy they do house calls. About 2 years ago, they came out and put my old Chi down, very caring. Thank you. Call them today, very compassionate! .

I love that this place is open early and a bit later than most into the evening. Their doctors also spend more time with me and my questions than most. I read the reviews for this urgent care and the reviews are great. I love that we can sign up and wait at home. When it was time, they texted us to head over. It's so great and less traumatic for our pet. The staff is very friendly. We got checked in by Cruz he's very friendly and out my dog at ease. My dog sometimes doesn't do well with men. Dr. Josh Mull was so great. He also put our dog at ease. Gave us a treatment plan and an estimate. He re stitched our dogs paw and called when completed. Cruz was so detailed when I picked up my pup. We utilized Dr Renee Bufkin for end of life care/in home euthanasia in 2019. Dr Bufkin was exactly who we needed at exactly the right time. Our kitty was ready to go but there was no way I was going to put her in a carrier, drive her to the vet, and make her last hour stressful and miserable. My Vet, VCA Feline Medical Center, provided me with Dr Bufkin's information as an alternate option. I called right away and Dr Bufkin came same day. Most of the experience is a blur and something I don't want to remember, BUT I do remember opening my door to Dr Bufkin and receiving the biggest hug filled with so much compassion and comfort. A stranger. Not my vet. It was exactly what I needed. She came in, assessed the situation, explained what was going to happen, and was in and out in less than 15 minutes. The grief that occurs with the loss of a pet is significant. Should you find yourself in need of end of life services for your pet, do yourself a favor and call Dr Bufkin. Yes, it's slightly more expensive, but I cannot recommend this option enough. Give yourself the gift of grieving in the comfort of your own home, and give your pet the gift of going in peace in the comfort of their own home... maybe even their happy place. They deserve that and you do too.
