There are a lot of local stores where the owners and employees don't even drink alcohol. Sure, it's a personal choice but how can you be objective about the products you're selling if you've never even sampled them? I trust everything that this store recommends to me without question and I've never been disappointed.

Beer can be found in six packs, singles, and bombers, and are plentiful in each category. They actually have one of the better craft single selections I've seen around. Many crafts can also be picked up from their refrigerated coolers if you don't have time to chill it before you kill it. Additionally, they have a super exclusive members-only cellar for the boldest and best. Earn points on purchases and level up for your privilege to get your hands on hard to find and cellared brews. Liquor selection is equally expansive, and the owners have been very generous in their willingness to put in special orders for the few things that they don't normally stock. Prices are right, and the location is convenient, so I really don't have anything to complain about. This is where I'll go for my adult beverage needs for the foreseeable future.

So, where did West land? Maybe at this "Party Store" (read - liquor store). Detroit seems to be completely resplendent with liquor stores and have way too many of them. Like, the whole town seems to love to drink, which might numb the pain of living in such freezing cold winters in a partially run down city that time has forgotten with the glory days of the city far in the past. But there are still a lot of great things about Detroit and it's a very real City and I love that about it. This particular liquor store has friendly service and it's right next to a really super cool 80s Pizza Joint so I recommend coming and giving it a try. If you want to get drunk in Detroit. Which is what everybody else does in Detroit. Apparently. Hic.
