Beer can be found in six packs, singles, and bombers, and are plentiful in each category. They actually have one of the better craft single selections I've seen around. Many crafts can also be picked up from their refrigerated coolers if you don't have time to chill it before you kill it. Additionally, they have a super exclusive members-only cellar for the boldest and best. Earn points on purchases and level up for your privilege to get your hands on hard to find and cellared brews. Liquor selection is equally expansive, and the owners have been very generous in their willingness to put in special orders for the few things that they don't normally stock. Prices are right, and the location is convenient, so I really don't have anything to complain about. This is where I'll go for my adult beverage needs for the foreseeable future. read more

They even have a staff member that is strictly responsible for beer/home brewing who has taught me a lot, just through conversations. The Wine Barrel has by far the best selection of kegs in stock; most places only stock cheap lagers, they always have a mixture of standard beers, common microbrews and some uncommon microbrews in a variety of sizes. The bottled beer selection is second to none, with a 'make your own' six-pack section as well. Beer isn't all they do. They have one of the best wine selections around, as well as a humidor with a wide range of cigars. I Won't spend my money here. After the first few purchases they get very stingy with their beer reward system. They get really good beer but you cant actually purchase it. Ive actually had them order something and when it came in they gave me the whole you need to fill out the card nonsense. That leaves you with price gouging, infected bottles on shelves, and all around bad business practice. They recently sold a beer for 14 dollars that you could get at the brewery for 5 or 6 bucks. read more

I've been coming here for years for two reasons: selection and quality. They have so many options when it comes to beer, liquor, wine and cigars that they put most other places in the area to shame. They also have many hard to find beers and liquors, including some locally crafted favorites. As Kat mentioned, if you can't find it, they'll get it for you. I wanted to send a wine order to my father as a gift but the online system wasn't letting me complete the order because the billing and shipping addresses were different. I came for winemaking yeast and left in a pleasant shock. In addition to virtually every imaginable supply for homebrewing, winemaking, mead-making, and every other legal form of alcohol creation, they have possibly the most extensive liquor, beer, and wine selection I've ever seen. They have beer kits, and wine kits, and fruit extracts, but they also have wooden bungs and oak barrels and special brushes and thermometers and a rainbow of loose specialty grains and things I can't even identify. This is a no-nonsense kind of place, with very fair prices on merchandise that's stacked floor to high ceiling and overflowing every nook and cranny. They have specials on weird wines and unique glasses, and all sorts of combination deals--great opportunities to try something different, or luck out on a favorite. The owner(?) gave me a tour of their slivovitz section, explaining the differences among some two dozen varieties of this plum brandy that most have never heard of. He said they can ship anything, an interesting advantage over most liquor stores. This is an amazing place to get the best craft beer at a great price. They have a huge selection of singles that you can make your own six pack with if you want to mix and match. There is also a great selection of cold beers ready to go. Although I do not do any home brewing myself, they have a really nice section of the store that is set up for that. I feel lucky that I am so close to this place, although it may start becoming a problem because I go there so much. The truly best part of the store is the staff. Incredibly friendly and helpful in finding the hard to get items. The cellar there has stuff in it that I have not seen anywhere else.
