This has been a life changing training for my two dogs. Our first day of level 1 class, they were barking and freaking out at the sight of other dogs. By the end of level 2, they were non-reactive, and I can now have my dog heel without holding a leash. Brent noticed how reactive our dogs were and took the extra time to walk us through training them to improve their behavior around other dogs as well as one of our dog's fear of water hoses. Highly recommend his group training classes. Its a lot of work, but you should feel comfortable & in control of your dogs. Thats what the classes have provided us and more. If someone told us 10 weeks ago that our dogs would be able to lay down with other dogs and be mellow, I would've never believed them until coming to Cooperhaus. As first time dog owners and definite helicopter parents, the staff have been so kind as they answered my MANY questions when we started her at daycare and went through our first boarding experience. They always show our pup care, love, and most notably patience with her puppy behaviors. They are attentive, thoughtful, and accommodating about what she needs on any given day, like extra breaks and down time and will give us reports on how she's doing. They have the same rotating staff at daycare and boarding, which is so nice for consistency. We love the Instagram pics they'll post throughout the day as well! We know she can be a lot with her wild puppy energy, and they welcome her anyways. She LOVES going to daycare, which is all you need to know. Our cat has FeLV and can't go to a boarding facility, so the only option for us was to have a pet sitter come visit him at home while we were gone for a few days. When she came for her complementary meet and greet, she was prepared with information about herself and her business, including references, insurance and bonding information, pet first aid certificate and history. I loved how prepared and professional she was. She took a lot of time getting to know our cat and learning about his needs and routines. Never once did I get the feeling she wanted to rush things or she wasn't interested. A few days before we left town, we received a call from Darlene to confirm the pet sit dates. I really liked that and gave me the warm and fuzzies! While we were away, she sent us a pretty detailed email about how everything was going, including how he was eating, playing and using the litter box. It added a nice touch and made us feel really good. When we arrived back home, we found a report card and a long note, detailing his behaviors during the visits. It showed that Darlene didn't just throw food at him and left. Instead the note described how our cat had warmed up to her with little gestures I know only he does. I also loved that she requested a call to a voice mail box, no matter the hour, to let her know that we made it home and our cat wasn't alone the next day. Otherwise she would have continued her visits which I think is AMAZING! We missed out cat terribly, but knowing he was cared for with a lot of love made our trip so much more special. The size of my horse didn't phase her one bit (17.2 hh, he's a big boy!). He had a stressful arrival (bad horse transport company) and she helped us nurse him back to health. A few other health problems happened during our 6 years, and she has ALWAYS gone above and beyond. She taught me so much about caring for normal and not-so-normal health problems! She is warm, friendly and has a passion for her business. You always feel like family at Nola's! As many people with horses know, horse people can be quite shady. My horse has been boarded in 4 states and 8 different barns, constantly changing barns because people got weird or our horse wasn't treated well. This is NOT the case with Nola! The only reason we have left is we moved out of state. Even then, my horse stayed an extra year with Nola until we could find a satisfactory barn and the weather was good for coming across the Rockies. She has kept me updated, made sure he was ready for all his appointments (ferrier, vet, etc) and kept a close eye on him while I was away.
