The same person who groomed my pug was the one who charged me. When I paid in cash and she did not return any change. I normally set aside the tip separately to give it directly to the person who attended my dog, but since I didn't receive my change back, I wasn't able to leave a tip. The cost seemed very reasonable at around $150 after tip with the first time discount, so that was a bonus since I didn't know about the $15 off for first timers. Thank you Bri for giving Nova a fresh look for her birthday. :) She will be back!

I do want to mention that the staff was friendly on each of my accounts. I went in hopeful--the tour was a nice gesture, and I appreciated that they offer cameras for monitoring. Unfortunately, the week I brought my dog in, the cameras were down due to Wi-Fi issues, which I understand can happen. However, my concerns started after the first day. When I picked Maui up, he urgently needed to go poo. After we got home (about a 45-minute drive), he drank almost an entire bowl of water. This made me question whether he was being given enough water or regular opportunities to relieve himself during the day. The same thing happened the second day. When I picked him up, he immediately drank water from a bowl they had outside immediately and had an extremely long pee--lasting over a minute--which again made me feel like he wasn't being let out frequently enough. On top of that, I noticed a very unpleasant smell coming from him in the car. When I checked, there were stains on his chin and belly that smelled far worse than urine. This raised concerns about cleanliness, either in the kennels or play areas (which were not included in the tour). I truly wanted this to be a good, budget-friendly option, but based on my experience, I would rather pay more elsewhere to ensure my dog is properly cared for. Saving money isn't worth compromising my pet's well-being.

Rebecca then took the time to show us what she had been working on with our dog and ensured we understood how to continue forward. Rebecca also asked for permission to take our shy puppy to a puppy social while he was in her care. Regarding my pup contracting Giardia--I already stated in my original review that I understand parasites are common and my puppy was probably more susceptible, so I wasn't placing blame on the facility. Just a warning that these things happen. However I would like to point out that my dog did not go anywhere else besides home and their facility (since theyre insinuating that it could've been contracted elsewhere). Additionally, the fact that Furrtropolis requires a negative fecal test every 6 months is a warning in itself that any dog could be carrying a parasite between that time, so this requirement isn't full proof. This is just the nature of daycares and boarding facilities, and it wasn't the sole reason I decided we wouldn't be returning. 2. Regarding kennel cough--again just spreading the warning of what my dog experienced coming back from the facility. I'm fully aware they don't have control over the health of every dog that enters. 3. Records show that we were in contact, because as I stated in my review, I would have to continously badger the staff in order to get any updates. Yes, responses were prompt but that wasn't the issue. It was getting updates to begin with, without me having to reach out on the 4th day of boarding to ask how things went. I've seen other boarding places have cameras or provide daily updates (on meals, training sessions, nap time, etc)--totally fine if this isn't one of those places and you're a dog parent that doesn't mind. It's just not for me. *I also want to clarify that I directly expressed to the staff multiple times of wanting more communication/updates and it not being met before I came to yelp* 4. This just further proves my point on the poor communication from this facility, the fact that I wasn't made aware my pup might have had a decrease in appetite or activity level is serious alarm bells. Both of those things would indicate to me that something is off since my dog normally has endless energy and a black hole for a stomach. At the very least, a simple update that my dog just finished his additional 1:1 training session/1:1 play session that I paid extra for would've been nice. My dog is the love of my life and I'm sure other pet parents feel the same. It's important for me to share my experiences to provide insight for others and so the business can improve for others.

Our two young beagles had a great time with the folks at Pawzercise! A fantastic value, with true care and attention for our pets while we were gone. We opted to leave our pets with them, and to our pups it was just like a trip to an old friends place! They are high energy dogs and need to get out and run everyday, which was not a problem as they took Enzo and Ella on morning and evening walks and let them play with the other resident pups throughout the day. I'm often approached by groomers while shopping but I don't trust then at all. Angela did an incredible job on my Lovely 2. 1 year old pomeranian that I can't even touch her head or trim her paws. She has a way with calming devils like my dog and was able to bathe and groom her. Received compliments all-day afterwards and couldn't be happier. I thought I knew how to bathe and blow dry but Angela's had no frizz or tangles. This will be our new routine. read more

My partner and I learned about Brassy's Paw Army through a friend who sought obedience training for his puppy and then continued to use their dog walking and active paws service after. We needed someone to watch our dog while we were away on vacation. However, we were skeptical of leaving him with someone who was under qualified or uncomfortable with a stubborn, and headstrong dog like ours. We also did not like idea of our little guy being boarded somewhere where he would be left in a kennel all day. For context: Our dog has received training from multiple trainers in the Bay Area and even completed a board and train program due to his dog reactivity. Needless to say, we are very aware that not everyone feels comfortable caring for a reactive dog. We are also not as trusting of just anyone to feel confident in caring for him as well. Having the background knowledge that Brassy also works as a dog trainer, we felt she would be a good option. We reached out through email and she was quick in following up through text. She connected us with Brizza who has been Fidel's main care taker in the paw army. We scheduled a meet and greet and then a few sessions for Brizza to walk Fidel (our dog) so they can become acquainted. We gave her background on the training Fidel had and the tools we use. He eventually started going for "active paws" sessions which gave us such peace of mind knowing that he was both getting time out of the house AND receiving much needed exposure/training with his dog reactivity and reinforcing his obedience training. They use an app to make it easy to book services and to also update us on what Fidel is up to. When we have had Fidel boarded with Brizza, we are so comfortable knowing that he is with someone who treats him like their own dog. She is so accommodating and truly loves our dog.
