It is slightly west of the smaller one. This one also sells kitchenware, while the other one does not. They both sell lots of prepared foods, drinks, and ice cream! So obviously, I am a huge fan, lol. As the name of the store suggests, they sell Korean and Japanese groceries. Prices are slightly higher than the bigger Korean supermarkets (like Galleria or HMart in Toronto), but comparable to other Japanese supermarkets that I've been to. The stores are clean and well lit. Service is friendly.

Super excited as I love indian food but the restaurant thing is starting to get quite expensive so I'm super happy to have found a great place to do some groceries for the house and prep some fabulous indian cuisine homemade! There's an abundance of indian spices in jars, cans, powder form with tons of fresh veggies and fruits. Lots of cool flavours. It's not a full on grocery such as no meats .. only spices, dairy products Paneer cheese yaaay and ready to go snacks as you walk in the store. The Place is super convenient for me as we live close by and we don't have to drive far to get our things.. the only downfall is the price.. a bit pricey if you ask me but not as bad as the resto's and it's a convenience thing.. rather spend more and drive less. The staff may not seem the warmest or friendliest, yet they are very helpful and kind. You ask with such lovely review of mine why only four stars? Simply and only because the isles are often crowded with unpacked boxes. The carts are placed else where and in the way.

I've visited other asian grocery stores, and usually they're so shy or aren't comfortable with the language that they avoid all questions, so coming here as my first time was a real eye opener and such a breath of fresh air :) Because a lot of these things don't come with an english translation on the back lol At the time I came, they didn't accept credit cards, only cash and debit, however I do hope that in the future they gain enough business to make it worth setting up their credit card proccessor. They didn't offer plastic bags though, only a nice quality logo'd shoping bag you buy for an extra dollar, which was fine for me, as least it's sturdy and I get to reuse it. This store is very small though, they don't have any fresh fruits or veggies, just dried things that last long, we well as a few frozen items and cooking pots. Though they do have all the dried essentials, as well as spices. I did find a good salty bean paste too. They did have many interesting ingredients as well, things I haven't seen before like dried bamboo fungus, which I consider to be a type of long white mushroom. I had originally wanted to go to the other asian grocery store which was huge, but it ended up being out of my way so I didn't have time to go, and happen to had found this place by accident, and honestly, I am really happy to know it's here now :)

They also have a great selection of Italian deli meats, prosciutto, salamis, etc... I found many types of coffees especially for espresso. Most if the dry goods come from the old country. Tomatoes sauce, olive oils, cookies, pasta... You won't find fresh produce. They even have pasta makers, cauldrons, and espresso coffee makers. I enjoy their house made italian sausages. Come one, come all. Check their store hours before coming.

I went to Kim Phat to purchase some things with my mom. She had never been to this Kim Phat before…read moreand neither have I. The store is an Asian specialty grocery store and they have a fairly large free parking lot. The prices seemed to be fair and comparable to C&T and LianTai (at least for the items that interested me). I don't drive to this area a lot but if I am in the area, I would have no issues going to Kim Phat for some specialty Asian grocery store items and snacks. Because of the convenience of parking, I prefer Lian Tai, then probably Kim Phat, and then C&T (C&T's parking is often full because it shares a large parking area in a parking mall). Since I didn't eat breakfast or lunch before bringing my mom here, I was famished and purchased a banh mi (Vietnamese baguette sandwich) which was premade and also purchased a drink which was on special.
