This is the second Korean grocery store I've found in Montreal. The other being on St Catherine W downtown. This one was larger and selection of good was more diverse. A great selection of many if not most items Korean/Japanese and other Asian. They do have a healthy selection of prepared foods. Also on Monday- Saturday there is take out items from a restaurant. I was here on a Sunday so I could do is salivate while looking at the menu and wonder how amazing their dishes must be. Some prepared bulgogi rice was made but I want to come for some of the more exotic Korean items. In the cooler at entrance there is a well stocked selection of prepared Korean food. Spicy chicken, kimchi, tempura fish, chap chae only to name a few. I got some chap chae and it was delicious. Not too sesame oil overpowering but delicious none the less! As you walk to the back there is another cooler fridge of banchan and other curious delights. Good stuff peeps especially if K-Food is one of your weaknesses. Lots of dry goods, also a very strong section of frozen dumplings. I picked up a bag made in NA yet non recognizable with all the Korean writing (which I have no idea) for me. They were delicious by the way. Downstairs is a butcher counter with some short rib, samgypesol-Gui and other deliciously tasty yet somewhat unhealthy Korean meats. I need to come back on a Saturday for some takeaway. I'd declare this the biggest and best K-Grocery store I've come across in MTL. I can spend so much time wandering around. It's my museum browsing. It was very busy, with a full parking lot but there was a enough space for people to get around in the aisles. This T&T was massive, with a wide range of fresh and frozen groceries and meats, seafoods, as well as a bakery, chinese bbq station and a variety of supplies. Everything was well-organized and the staff seemed friendly. My wife and I are visiting, we're staying at a hotel with a refrigerator and stovetop so got frozen beef, fresh mushrooms and package noodle soups that we could make for snacks. We didn't get too much because we intend to experience the local restaurants and businesses. I can't comment on how the prices normally are but it seemed like they reasonable by current U.S. standards. We used the self-check out which was straight forward.

I purchased these cute steamed character buns (because why not?). I was also so happy to find this one particular tea bag that is honestly one of the best Hong Kong style, but hard to find back at home in the US where I am from. The price at this particular location was pretty good since this item was on sale (but even at the full price, it is still cheaper than buying it back at home) and wished I had purchased all the remaining boxes to bring back home since the T&T Supermarket in Ottawa sells these at a higher price. When we came back for a second visit, it was nice to see an employee at the jian bing (Chinese crepe) station, since it was not available to be made fresh when we had visited the night before. I am not sure what the price was but kind of regret not having one made fresh for us during this second visit (this is the only supermarket that I have seen that even has this available inside a market. The Asian markets I have frequent back at home have wheel cakes made fresh for purchase though). I like that there is a large dining area in which you sit and eat your food items with a actually a few different places you can choose from (including outside). The Long Version: I love poking around small grocery stores, especially international grocery stores in search of exotic goods. So when I was walking by Bonjour Supermarket I had to stop in. The store is not too large, but it has a good variety of products. They had items imported from Taiwan, Japan and China. Maybe other countries too, but those are the ones I saw. As luck would have it, while I was there I saw a lady wheeling out a cart of freshly made steamed buns/bao. They were still warm! Even though I was still full from lunch, I couldn't resist getting some. They were $1.50 each and came in quantities of 2, 3, 4 or 6. They had lots of different flavours such as pork and celery, chicken and cabbage, and beef (the beef ones were $2 each). But the only pack of 2 they had were pork and celery, so I grabbed that one. The buns were soft and there was a good amount of meat filling. They were tasty and for $1.50 each they were a great deal. The store accepts cash, debit and credit, but there's a minimum spend for debit and credit, like between $5-$10. So I paid cash. Staff were pleasant. Since COVID they enforce a strict mask rule for all clients so don't go unless you have a covering for your mouth and nose. The owners are very friendly and their inventory is constantly refreshed. Prices are slightly higher than the bigger Korean supermarkets (like Galleria or HMart in Toronto), but comparable to other Japanese supermarkets that I've been to. The stores are clean and well lit.
