We didn't finish our selection at 8pm (the closing time) but almost at the end. However, there was one employee very rushed push us to leave, we just have one or two item need to select. She didn't want to help but only spoke loudly to us just the store need to be closed, but based on my experience no store in Canada push customer to leave as long as customer step into the store before the closing time. My wife is pregnant, she couldn't move fast and felt sad and angry about this thing. There is no respect from the the employee at this store. Please avoid this store. It was really a bad bad experience.

Everything was well-organized and the staff seemed friendly. My wife and I are visiting, we're staying at a hotel with a refrigerator and stovetop so got frozen beef, fresh mushrooms and package noodle soups that we could make for snacks. We didn't get too much because we intend to experience the local restaurants and businesses. I can't comment on how the prices normally are but it seemed like they reasonable by current U.S. standards. We used the self-check out which was straight forward.

The price at this particular location was pretty good since this item was on sale (but even at the full price, it is still cheaper than buying it back at home) and wished I had purchased all the remaining boxes to bring back home since the T&T Supermarket in Ottawa sells these at a higher price. When we came back for a second visit, it was nice to see an employee at the jian bing (Chinese crepe) station, since it was not available to be made fresh when we had visited the night before. I am not sure what the price was but kind of regret not having one made fresh for us during this second visit (this is the only supermarket that I have seen that even has this available inside a market. The Asian markets I have frequent back at home have wheel cakes made fresh for purchase though). Prices are slightly higher than the bigger Korean supermarkets (like Galleria or HMart in Toronto), but comparable to other Japanese supermarkets that I've been to. The stores are clean and well lit. There were things I couldn't really identify (dried shredded fish, perhaps?) and some asian cooking staples, like mirin, sesame oil and soy sauce. It's really busy, as it's somewhat the heart of the Plaza Côte-des-Neiges. We went there to pick up some specific things, and ended up bringing back a week-worth of food, including a whole tub of ube-macapuno ice cream. And grenadillas. And polvoron. The Long Version: I love poking around small grocery stores, especially international grocery stores in search of exotic goods. So when I was walking by Bonjour Supermarket I had to stop in. The store is not too large, but it has a good variety of products. They had items imported from Taiwan, Japan and China. Maybe other countries too, but those are the ones I saw. As luck would have it, while I was there I saw a lady wheeling out a cart of freshly made steamed buns/bao. They were still warm! Even though I was still full from lunch, I couldn't resist getting some. They were $1.50 each and came in quantities of 2, 3, 4 or 6. They had lots of different flavours such as pork and celery, chicken and cabbage, and beef (the beef ones were $2 each). But the only pack of 2 they had were pork and celery, so I grabbed that one. The buns were soft and there was a good amount of meat filling. They were tasty and for $1.50 each they were a great deal. The store accepts cash, debit and credit, but there's a minimum spend for debit and credit, like between $5-$10. So I paid cash. Staff were pleasant. Since COVID they enforce a strict mask rule for all clients so don't go unless you have a covering for your mouth and nose. The owners are very friendly and their inventory is constantly refreshed.
