A week later I called about my refund and, lo and behold, two collection items had suddenly, vanished, which apparently made me ineligible for a refund. Convenient timing, right? People lie. After a few job losses and three years of financial chaos, I learned this: if you want your credit fixed, don't outsource it to strangers. Pay your bills and work out a plan directly with your creditors. That's exactly what I'll be doing instead of handing money to people who give me mixed messages. And yes, the same AI and databases these companies use to spin stories are tools I can use myself to save money, avoid stress, and keep my peace.
