You do get what you paid for. I had a poster/print 36x48 and a custom frame was the only way to get it done. I had it framed on 1" frame, black. We had the extra white border on the poster itself covered by recommendation of the lady working there and it looks great. We also had the poster mounted so it will keep the print from bulging, falling, etc. Then we had plexiglass installed to protect the print. Plexiglass is more expensive than regular glass but it is also more durable and in the event that the frame were to receive some sort of impact it will withstand it better than glass. I'm happy with my frame and I will go back to them for future frames if needed.

He took about 15 minutes, never rushed, and treated my artwork with real care. He was courteous, friendly, and very down to earth throughout the entire process. When I asked how much I owed him--fully expecting a charge of $40 or more--he told me there was no charge. I insisted on paying, but he adamantly refused. Admission is free which is always a bonus value when traveling on vacation. A sign located at the entrance instructed visitors to download an app to be granted entry to control visitor traffic. This took all of five minutes. Then the docent allowed entry once scanned. There were maybe 7 visitors at the time of my arrival. It is literally next to ICA Miami. So I didn't need to move my vehicle from the Miami Museum garage across the street. There was a vast selection of artifacts. It was well designed with natural lighting pouring in from the wall of windows. Docents were posted throughout talking on headsets notifying each other of the number of visitors heading in their direction. This was odd especially since they weren't leading any tours of any kind. This lifelong collection showcased much history and creativity within the culture. A little construction was happening to prepare for another installation. I enjoyed my visit.

Dale Zine is unlike any other store in the Design District. While many of its neighbors specialize…read morein luxury goods, this artist-driven bookstore and publisher offers something uniquely different, with a distinctly retro and independent feel. Dale (pronounced DAH-leh) is a Miami-based zine publisher and art bookstore. The name comes from the Spanish word dale, which translates roughly to "let's do it!" This independent business is co-owned by art director Steve Saiz and his wife, Lillian Banderas. Before settling in the Design District, they operated several locations in Miami's Little River neighborhood. Dale Zine began in 2009 as a passion project. While working at an advertising agency, Saiz used the office printer to create small self published booklets, known as zines, focusing on art, photography, and literature. He later launched a Tumblr page with a linked PayPal account, and before long, he was shipping his creations to readers around the world. Today, the shop offers an eclectic mix of books, shirts, bags, accessories, and beverages. More than just a retail space, however, Dale serves as a platform for artists and creative expression. The back of the store functions as an art gallery, currently featuring the exhibition She Surfs. I love supporting small businesses, and Dale Zine was one of the most unusual discoveries I made in the Design District.
