A couple of months ago, I brought in an art piece to have the inside of the plexiglass cleaned. When I noticed months later that there were still visible marks that had been missed, I also realized that the plexiglass was no longer properly seated under the wood frame, the edge was now sticking out. This had never been an issue in the 20+ years the piece of art has been in this frame, including previous handling by other professionals. I brought the piece back and spoke with an employee named Mathew. He acknowledged that the piece had not been cleaned properly, but then attempted to blame me for the plexiglass shifting due to how I "might have handled it." He also claimed the plexiglass was cut too small for the frame, which makes no sense given the frame's long history without this problem, until Gallery Art took it apart and put it back together. Mathew initially tried to charge me $180 to re-clean the piece and realign the plexiglass, even though the issue was clearly caused by their work. I asked instead for the plexiglass to simply be replaced. After getting my piece back, I contacted the owner, Amy, to discuss the situation. She was extremely unprofessional from my initial call with her. When I called at 11:30 a.m., she told me she sleeps during the day and would not speak with me until after 7 p.m. When I finally did reach her and explained that I should not have been charged to fix their mistake, she dismissed my concerns entirely after multiple calls going back and forth with her on the situation. After spending over $700 with this business, she offered only a $90 credit and later followed up with a text to me stating... "Obviously, you agreed to the price when you dropped it off, you were not double billed." This completely missed the point of my complaint, which was about poor workmanship and accountability, not billing confusion. Overall, the lack of care, refusal to take responsibility, and unprofessional communication were unacceptable. I would not trust this company with any artwork, especially valuable or sentimental pieces.

    This is by far the worst Michael's I've ever been to. Employees are untrained and seem unsure of how anything works. I recently placed a pickup order, and the item was out of stock. At every other Michael's, the app cancels the items and refunds me automatically before I even arrive. Not here. This store waited until I got there, then treated it like a return--asking for the card I paid with and even requesting my social security number just to process it. Completely unacceptable. On top of that, I placed a curbside order and was told to go inside to pick it up. What's the point of offering curbside if I have to walk in? This location went from a 10 to a 0. We were told you would not fill them, even though we arrived an hour before closing and the store was completely empty. We were given an excuse about a policy that is not posted anywhere and was never communicated in advance. That refusal forced us to spend forty dollars on a helium tank we did not need. On top of that, your team told us we had to pay for ribbon, something that would have been included if the balloons had been filled by your staff. When we tried to explain how important this was, Brooklyn, the manager, showed no interest in helping. She had a terrible attitude and walked away while we were still speaking. It would have taken five minutes to offer basic customer service. Those five minutes would have made a huge difference for our child's birthday. Instead, we were left frustrated and scrambling. I will not be returning to your store. I will be taking my business to Amazon and other retailers who actually value their customers and make an effort to be helpful. Do better.

    I saw a pic of Joseph G. holding wall art produced at CanvasFab. It looked great and he looked…read morehappy in the pic. Tom and I talked about using some of our pics from trips and moments in time as living room wall art. We figured it would personalize the space and remind us of fun times. CanvaFab's site has a nice gallery of work. But what really did it for me was their easy-to-use software that let me upload my pic, try different products and sizes, see my art with my options and get a price for the custom work. We picked 32" x 16" size canvas and were concerned the images might look fuzzy. But on my screen each pic looked great, so we started to put an order together. Then they emailed me a new customer code for 50% off my first order. Yeah baby! That tipped the scale and, willing to take a chance on the picture quality, kept ordering. I got emails during the process - I knew when they got the order and when they shipped the order. They managed my order without being asked - thank you CanvasFab. It's refreshing to just stay out of the way and watch you manage your business. If only more companies would do that...(maybe a handyman wouldn't have installed 2 door knobs on the same door in my house, one on top of the other. I have pics.) The pics came in a box that was well packed. I could have picked up the art in their MIami shop but I opted for delivery instead. The quality was beyond our expectations! We were going to get simple frames but in the meantime we ordered 'mirror edge' pics on canvas - they look so good we are not getting frames! We have some special times coming up and we look forward to sending our pics to CanvasFab so they can work their magic.

The color was supposed to be beige and it was almost pink. They tried again and sent me a picture and it still wasn't right. They asked me if I wanted a refund and I said yes. Then 2 weeks later Paypal sent me an email saying that the refund was canceled. I sent them multiple emails about that, called them and even messaged them on instagram and 0 response. I thought I would give them more time since it was December and I figured they were still on holiday. It's almost February and still no response. Thankfully Paypal is very good about these things and they opened a case against them and will give me my money back!
