1993 General Motors brass elbow fitting for the cooling system.
Juan L.

I needed a 1993 General Motor brass elbow fitting for the cooling system that I was unable able to get it from Autozone, Oreilly's, Napa, HomeDepot, Lowe's, Orchard's Supply and online was hard to match with so many different ones but Tool Mart had several, I bought two for both of my 1993 GM cars since there are so hard to find.

I said I needed some keys copied and was told the different options to choose from. I went with standard gold (but looking at their different varieties, I just might come back next time for a fancy printed one). The workers were super friendly and I definitely felt welcomed. You honestly can't beat the price they charge too & they work quick! As my keys were being made, I was able to pet and play with their "2nd best worker," Jackson. He was the sweetest doggo (as of today, he's 15 months), i wish i was able to stay and play with him more. As I was paying to leave, Jackson put his head on my foot. Would recommend this hardware store if you are looking for any merchandise for fixing up your house. I've been here once before long ago when I was needing to fix holes in my walls from horrible drilling & left with what I needed. Everyone here is friendly and super welcoming and can answer any hardware questions you have!

Their drawers of nuts, bolts, and screws is extensive - and they are very willing to help match a nut to a bolt or a bolt to nut. They help throughout the store, but that they are willing to think through a problem like matching a nut to bolt - a sale under 50 cents - gives an idea of how dedicated they are to helping out. My main reasons for buying there? 1. You cannot consistently match the service at the big box stores. 2. This is a small business with hard worker owner and staff in a real neighborhood service oriented business. There are not many left. 3. They are very willing to special order and to take the time to do that even for small orders. Small or large, I go there first and very rarely do I have to look further.

Enter Duke's Hardware. This seemingly small hardware store tucked in between a phalanx of Chinese restaurants on Noriega will usually have just what you need without having to make that big drive out of town to Daly City or Colma. The aisles are stocked HIGH into the ceiling with tools, light bulbs and other essentials, with a bonus second story alcove with plenty of basic plumbing supplies and tools tucked way in the back. Yes, you do pay a buck or two more per item here vs. the big box stores, but it saves me time and hassle in those busy busy days where you just need to fix something right NOW. PRO TIP: Get here before 9am for easy effortless FREE angle parking right out in front. Accessible by MUNI bus line too right out in front. Verdict: This little hardware store punches well beyond its weight in getting you what you need. Yes, they do keys here too. Friendly folks you will find here right as you come in!

The team is not only knowledgeable, but they are kind, friendly and explain in a way that does not make you feel inferior in the least - even when I go in using measurements like "I think it's the length of my finger" because I didn't have time to measure properly during the busy school day. I am a science teacher and I have gone there to get materials for my STEM elective class. I have explained what I am trying to do and have gotten great advice and guidance that has worked out each time. Even if they suggest a solution that is not within my budget, they will think of an alternative that will be "good enough" for what I'm attempting to do based on my constraints. They have even given me a teacher discount to help keep the costs down, without me even asking. I encourage people to come here to support a great local business and good people. You do not get this kind of high quality service at the big box stores. Thank you, Bill, for helping me on Thursday right before closing! The middle school students used the nails to fix the broken garden beds; they asked me to pass along their thanks for your kindness and because they enjoy hammering nails into wood! Called customer service, navigated ridiculous phone menu, finally got through and agent disconnected my call. Called again, same thing finally navigated through phone menu, got through to an agent, disconnected. Tried customer service chat, after 45 minutes back and forth (multiple times I had to ping "hello" to the agent after a LONG pause with no response), agent said my remaining items would be delivered. They were not. Did a chat to support again next day, chatted with agent, agent seemed to be helping me, but 45 minutes later, chat stopped working, no refund, no items, unable to connect with any agents via chat. Called customer service. Over 30 minutes later, agent said he tried calling the store and store wouldn't pick up so he told me I would have to call the store myself - that I would have "more time" to do so. Asked to speak to his supervisor, supervisor "Chris" disconnected the call. Called the store, phone rang for 37 minutes straight, finally someone answered. He said he would see to it that my items are delivered and would knock some off the bill. We will see. If you choose to order anything from homedepot.com, good luck to you. Worst customer service experience I've had in years.
