Great tools available this week. Was able to get more of the very popular ECFD0102 flood lights. Sold out of these a couple of times. 5 in stock now. Also great deal on the EEJP201 jumper packs. One only red 12 piece screwdriver set and 2 each of the red and green 12 piece mini tool sets. Mini picks mine screwdrivers and mini Torx drivers all in one package. 312CF heavy duty diagonal cutters in a rainbow of colors. And as I said buy the cutters choose a game to go with it. Life, Connect 4, and Yatzee.

1993 General Motors brass elbow fitting for the cooling system.

I needed a 1993 General Motor brass elbow fitting for the cooling system that I was unable able to get it from Autozone, Oreilly's, Napa, HomeDepot, Lowe's, Orchard's Supply and online was hard to match with so many different ones but Tool Mart had several, I bought two for both of my 1993 GM cars since there are so hard to find.

I said I needed some keys copied and was told the different options to choose from. I went with standard gold (but looking at their different varieties, I just might come back next time for a fancy printed one). The workers were super friendly and I definitely felt welcomed. You honestly can't beat the price they charge too & they work quick! As my keys were being made, I was able to pet and play with their "2nd best worker," Jackson. He was the sweetest doggo (as of today, he's 15 months), i wish i was able to stay and play with him more. As I was paying to leave, Jackson put his head on my foot. Would recommend this hardware store if you are looking for any merchandise for fixing up your house. I've been here once before long ago when I was needing to fix holes in my walls from horrible drilling & left with what I needed. Everyone here is friendly and super welcoming and can answer any hardware questions you have!

Their drawers of nuts, bolts, and screws is extensive - and they are very willing to help match a nut to a bolt or a bolt to nut. They help throughout the store, but that they are willing to think through a problem like matching a nut to bolt - a sale under 50 cents - gives an idea of how dedicated they are to helping out. My main reasons for buying there? 1. You cannot consistently match the service at the big box stores. 2. This is a small business with hard worker owner and staff in a real neighborhood service oriented business. There are not many left. 3. They are very willing to special order and to take the time to do that even for small orders. Small or large, I go there first and very rarely do I have to look further.

My assumption is that they'll be there for you and if you aren't there for them and think only about the price tag (cost) you are killing the entrepreneurial small businesses. Unfortunately, I called about an item, got the price and availability and arrived between 1-3 mins after the posted closing time and the cashier/worker could/would not make an exception to help me. Maybe it's a store policy with San Francisco being the armpit of retail crime and they need to avoid any potential incidents. Maybe it's the litigious nature of owning a business and making transactions outside of strict operating hours outlined in insurance policies. However, in the humanity of a customer to business relationship, it's disheartening. I know many stores make exceptions. So, my disappointment probably would detour me to Home Depot for my hardware needs unfortunately. Parking is difficult with a lot of speeding vehicles and blind spots as well as Glen Park BART user congestion and traffic along with the supply and demand issue of available street parking lacking makes it a hard place to frequent unless you're a neighboring resident in the community who can walk here.

Enter Duke's Hardware. This seemingly small hardware store tucked in between a phalanx of Chinese restaurants on Noriega will usually have just what you need without having to make that big drive out of town to Daly City or Colma. The aisles are stocked HIGH into the ceiling with tools, light bulbs and other essentials, with a bonus second story alcove with plenty of basic plumbing supplies and tools tucked way in the back. Yes, you do pay a buck or two more per item here vs. the big box stores, but it saves me time and hassle in those busy busy days where you just need to fix something right NOW. PRO TIP: Get here before 9am for easy effortless FREE angle parking right out in front. Accessible by MUNI bus line too right out in front. The team is not only knowledgeable, but they are kind, friendly and explain in a way that does not make you feel inferior in the least - even when I go in using measurements like "I think it's the length of my finger" because I didn't have time to measure properly during the busy school day. I am a science teacher and I have gone there to get materials for my STEM elective class. I have explained what I am trying to do and have gotten great advice and guidance that has worked out each time. Even if they suggest a solution that is not within my budget, they will think of an alternative that will be "good enough" for what I'm attempting to do based on my constraints. They have even given me a teacher discount to help keep the costs down, without me even asking. I encourage people to come here to support a great local business and good people. You do not get this kind of high quality service at the big box stores. Thank you, Bill, for helping me on Thursday right before closing! I was walking towards the garden gate, female sale associate was pulling down the gate. I asked her if she's able to check when they will refill on stock. She asked if I like to come in and she can ask the guys. My mom and I went in, she closed the gates and forgot about us. I don't know where she left to. I found a young male associate (20-25, round fair skin baby face), asked him, he was very detailed. Told me they will receive shipment tonight and about 2000 in stock. Came in next morning at 9:30am, only 14 bags were left! There was an older Hispanic associate, asked if I'm able to purchase the rest of them. He didn't understand me, pointed towards the register. I went to the register, asked the lady there (Amelia), am I able to purchase the remaining bags? She said yes. I did ask if I'm able to purchase 20 in total and they save the 6 bags for me to come pick up the next day, she didn't understand my question. I didn't want to keep explaining. So I just purchase the 14 bags. With receipt in hand, I asked the older Hispanic associate if he can help bring the bags to my car. Bags were on a flat bed. I wasn't sure if I can take the flat bed or what..??? He told me no he can't. I went back to Amelia, I asked if there's someone that can help me bring the soil to my car. And she sounded surprised that I needed help. I waited 5-10 minutes until someone came to help me. Another male associate, 23-28 oval face glasses ear length wavy hair told me I can pull up my car right by the gate and have the trunk open and he'll load the soil in. He notice one of the bags had a tiny hole in it. He told me he's going to come back with adhesive tape and seal the hole. He was really nice and professional.

Over 30 minutes later, agent said he tried calling the store and store wouldn't pick up so he told me I would have to call the store myself - that I would have "more time" to do so. Asked to speak to his supervisor, supervisor "Chris" disconnected the call. Called the store, phone rang for 37 minutes straight, finally someone answered.
