Everyone has garlic knots on tables that look and smell amazing. However, they're a little hard due to probably being the oven longer and using the same pizza dough. We started with a white pizza that generally was good. Ricotta was smothered then topped with mozzarella. No garlic, oregano or EVOO so it seemed little too careless what could have been stellar pie. Meatballs were huge covered in red sauce and were nicely seasoned. Pastas were a little under-seasoned, huge portions that pooled water. Could have been a drained more carefully or sauces thicker. A few more teaspoons of parsley or a bit of fresh grated Parmesan would have elevated them. Veal Parm entree on the menu was crispy but smothered with mozzarella. It was a generous portion but it would have been great to get more of the contrasted breaded texture. Mussels seemed older than necessary and had a strong aroma. Asiago Gnocchi was a huge predominantly white plate filled with probably 24-30 dumplings. Drink menu had a lot of creative cocktails. Prices were very reasonable and the place gets busy with groups and families. Service was great and quick and the old timers made you feel at home.

Pizza is good. However, I know this place has been around for a long time, but we are now in 2019 and delivery has to be paid for in cash. I don't get it! You rather loose a delivery sale because you only accept cash. This is un heard of. Maybe it's easier to close the sales at the end of the night for deliveries. Maybe they don't want to show that money is coming in credit cards. They get cash they don't have to report the $$$. Whatever the reason is you should provide convenience for your customers. read more

I ordered takeout from Tony's Place and had a good experience overall. The restaurant has a classic, cozy vibe with TVs playing. One downside was that they don't accept Amex, only Visa and MasterCard, which was a bit inconvenient. As for the food, it met expectations for a local pizza shop. I have been going to Tony's place since I was a little girl (over 30 years). The pizza and garlic rolls are amazing. The cheese ravioli is another favorite. The owners are always there and make sure everything goes out perfect. I wish I lived closer now but whenever I am in the area I stop in even if I have to take it to go. read more

Her Pinot Grigio which is typically a dry white wine was some sweet unknown blend that wasn't quite moscato but almost tasted like a wine cooler. They could use a menu revamp bc the items listed are very vague. I will say the chairs were comfortable which for me is a plus. The prices are alright but they just lack guidance in their presentation and ambiance. I ended up taking my food to go because by the time it arrived, my mother had already finished eating. Plus, we had already been seated for over an hour at that point. If it wasn't for the service, I'd have a completely different review because the food quality isn't where it should be. Hopefully they improve because the lakes deserves a cozy Italian restaurant.
