Absolutely rude. They are advertising a 20" pie for $18.99 and got charged $19.99. I tell them about the price difference and he tells me the menu must be wrong and proceeds to check the 500+ menus on display which all say $18.99. He walks away and says thats the price nothing they can do. The worst customer service the owner is beyond rude no wonder the employees are rude if he leads by example. Do not believe the hype pizza is mediocre at best. They charge for refills and the place is small and dirty. Im mad I made the drive from Tampa but guaranteed I will not be coming back read more

We've been going here for a few years and the staff have been friendly and the pizza was always great. Not to mention they were always on point with making the pizza's fast. Sadly are encounter today wasn't great like usual. I called to put in are order, and was placed on 'hold' for 4 minutes while listening to the young man help 4 customers that were there PLUS him and another work complain about another female worker with long pauses in between. The gentleman finally got back on the phone and let us know it'll be 30 minutes. So we get there on time and ended up waiting 30 MORE minutes because the young man only had one pizza made/ready for us(the white pizza). He then gave me attitude for not giving him a tip on the card(was going to give cash once we got are pizzas). So we waited for are second pizza and another customer who was before us and had ordered for carry out received there's. Finally after 30 mins I had to ask 'excuse me when is are order going to be done?' (Mind you we had already checked in and he knew we were waiting) The guy asked 'what was it again?' Are two pizzas were sitting on top of the pizza cooker for who knows how long because this kid got upset I didn't tip on the card.... Had the nerve to laugh and say have a nice night very sarcastic as I left. Are white pizza was cold, dry, and not fully cooked. Thankfully the margarita pizza was great as usual. After this horrible encounter we will no longer frequent Tony's thanks to this immature attitude. read more

This place is a walk from home & I've been buying slices after a night out in Dunedin for a few years. I don't know why I'm just now noticing how rude & unwelcome the older man which I believe is the owner, is when we come to get a slice. The pizza, especially ordered fresh is good. The sliced options are hit or miss depending on freshness. My reluctance to come back is completely based on the unfriendliness of a system who is supposed to be based on customer service. I mean, not even a hello when you walk in. And you're lucky if he makes eye contact. I guess if you're tipsy & starving this is the place... however Don't show up expecting anymore than a stare & slice lol. read more

Good pizza spot! The value was good and the pizza was satisfying that pizza need . The garlic knots had a little too much garlic for my preference but the marinara sauce helped balance them out (and was very flavorful). The staff was kind and helpful. Plenty of parking around Dunedin, just might have to walk a bit to get to it if you aren't lucky enough to get a spot on the street. read more

Had a slice of meat lovers pizza today. It was very good as usual. Like the fact that you can buy pizza by the slice here. Not all pizza places have that. While the pizza was decent, the owner shouldn't be present with customers ever. He was super rude with my family and the other diners present. Posted closing time is 11pm which was confirmed with the cashier prior to seating. At 10:02pm he started walking around the establishment, grabbing things off people's tables rushing everyone to leave. He was totally unapologetic when asked why was he talking to people with that tone. The cashier and pizza chef were nice but my family will never contribute another dollar to that owners bottom line. I was forlornly staring through Tony's storefront window and the amazing slices they have on display, my dog patiently waiting by my side, when Tony stepped out the door with a cheese slice in hand. But, that slice was NOT for ME! He shared it with my pittie, Tor, who instantly became his new best friend, and invited me in - dog and all! I had the most amazing slice of pizza - a wonderfully crisp crust, flavorful sauce that didn't drown out the other ingredients, spinach, black olives, and wonderful mozzarella cheese! Popped in real quick for a slice. Place is small, cozy, clean and several ready to heat pies were on display. I picked a cheesy looking slice over the many options. He heated it up for me and I was in and outta there in ten minutes! Perfect quick lunch. Three other customers came in while I was there. All ordering small bites. I'd definitely come back. The crust is perfect! Crispy and doughy in exactly the right combination. More crispy than doughy, by the way. Very flavorful and satisfying. Not small, not huge in size but just right! Stopped by with the family for a slice of pizza. I usually like to get a whole pizza, so it's made fresh to order. We weren't nearly hungry enough though. I tried the Florentine, and a bite of my husband's Sicilian. I liked both, but I thought his wasn't heated through well enough. He commented on it too, but it was really good otherwise. So if you order a slice of Sicilian, you may want to ask to have it heated a little longer since it's much thicker than a regular pizza. read more

I reallllly enjoyed Tony's pizza. We were just strolling around downtown Dunedin when we stumbled across this gem of a place. We walked in not knowing how it would be, but we were very impressed. This is not a gourmet establishment, obviously. The pizza that we had was absolutely delicious. The prices were amazing. They made sure that even though we came at closing time, they heated up our pizza in the oven even though we just got a few slices. Let me tell you, those slices they could've been sitting there for a while(idk) BUT they were absolutely amazing. I can't even imagine what an entire pizza would taste like from here, and I can't wait to get one!!! If you're just looking for a cheap bite around town, check it out! read more

Stopped in on a busy Saturday night. Fair warning: the place gets packed with a line out the door come 10 P.M. or later, with the drinking crowd. My friend ordered a pizza and it took quite awhile to come out. I enjoyed my slices (Florentine pizza) I ordered, though, which came out much quicker. went to Tony's tonight 6/6/2023 and wanted a few slices. I liI've in Dunedin and always go to Tony's. The place was not busy and slices looked good. couple in front of me ordered a few slices, I waited my turn and 3 kids walked in and guy behind counter took their order over me. I wasn't going to say anything but I then I let him know he was wrong since I was there first . maybe he should pay attention and take his ear bud out of his ear. Went here after getting in late from traveling because it was the only place open. Would not go back again. Stopped in for a slice a while back it was good. Just heavy on cheese they way Mericans like it. It had that crispness to each bite so I was hopeful. I asked if they could make a margarita pie they said sure any time. So last night I ordered one. I'm not a big fan of regular mozzarella cheese but they used plenty of it with some fresh mozzarella on top. Is it supposed to be more of a tomato-based pizza. They didn't use San Marzanos and that could be excused since Ruskin has some of the best but what I got was slices with unripened cores. They basil was minimal at best. The math actually works out quite well. When I've eaten here stone cold sober it is a three and a half star joint. When I've eaten here leaving one of downtown Dunedins drinking establishments it is five star food and service including being open until 3am. I do not like there paninis as they are just small subs that really are not plentiful. I am not sure why they call them paninis as there is a certain assumption with that term. The pizza is quite good. I do like their crust and it holds up quite nicely if you grab a slice or two well staggering home. Not once have I've woken up with pizza sauce on my shirt after a slice or two from Tony's. read more
