We found this location by chance. I'm gluten free and my friend is vegan. Some were SUPER excited to see such a HUGE selection on the menu for both of us. The location is quaint and family run. The owner made us feel at home. She took time to explain everything to us. Please keep in mind that everything is cut, chopped and cooked fresh. But it's worth the wait. I was SO excited to try this place until I arrived. It doesn't look like much from the outside and inside it's small and seems old in every way. The decor is all kitschy and very mismatched stuff mostly featuring the family, which is fine but also there is so much stuff everywhere it's overwhelming for a person who likes minimal "stuff" and likes it clean. We ordered the Magical knots to start, vegan, as I am vegan to share. My cousin is not vegan and she had the Greek Salad & 10 Crispy Wings. I ordered the Vegan Buffalo Ranch pizza. Now I was super excited to try this food and it just fell flat. I don't know what the green dipping sauce for the knots was, but it left an odd aftertaste. Some knots wet perfect, soft and pulled apart well and others were hard and I couldn't even cut through them (they were so covered in garlic and oil I didn't want to get my hands dirty.) So that was sad. But the vegan pizza was super exciting to me. The cheese was heavy, and the ranch was too on the sauce end. There wasn't much of whatever "mock meat" had the buffalo on it so it just all around was disappointing. My cousin said the Greek Salad was okay and the wings weren't really that crispy. They were stuck to the bottom of the foil in the tray they came in though. The staff, who were incredibly friendly and nice, were really the only reason for three stars. It was okay food. As I walked in, I have to say at first it seemed cluttered. The only thing I will say about that is; decide what you want in a restaurant. If you want white washed homogenized cookie cutter every restaurant with no personality and tasteless food, go eat at Chili's. If you want an interesting experience and fabulous food prepared with love for their craft by warm caring people, then sit down, enjoy the memories on the wall and maybe play a game of chess while you wait. The amazing smells compelled me onward. We saw the menu online noting to bring cash but chose to order in restaurant, because the menu is so extensive it was overwhelming. This, in hindsight, was our mistake. As everything is made fresh, it's not fast. If we had ordered from home we could have cut our time waiting in restaurant. There are board games & video games(free) to play while waiting. Great if you have kids with you. Our food came out. As a long time vegan, and a 50 year old woman who watches calories, I have not had a pizza for maybe 20 years. I chose this restaurant because my daughter wanted to go. I ordered the " burner" pizza " 90 calories per slice" made VEGAN. It was phenomenal. As memorable as the food I had in Las Vegas or in NYC. I appreciate that calories are listed. I wouldn't eat otherwise. I do not guess. I feel with some work that Ozona & Pizza Mike could Franchise this restaurant. My daughter loved her vegan pizza, garlic knots & brownie. My husband enjoyed his non vegan pizza. The owners are wonderful warm people. I am glad we came & will be back. **Outstanding online system of ordering as well as table reservations. Very tech savvy. **As a side note, let me just say that after reading some reviews from VEGANS who complain about the price; FOOD IS EXPENSIVE. Please do not ask why good food is expensive, but rather why cheap food is cheap. You are what you eat. Don't be cheap, fast or easy. Finally, as a long time vegan, I remember when vegan at a restaurant was lettuce with no dressing & maybe a slice of tomato. I remember the first awkward attempts at soy cheese. It wouldn't melt at all, but I was grateful to have it. My partner and I got this pizza after 3 other pizzerias near us were out of their vegan cheese/oven was broken-- so it was a LONG time coming lol. The pizza has a great bite to it, soft and palatable with a great crunch. Sauce has a nice sour kick to it. The vegan cheese wasn't overpowering which we appreciated! We got the hand tossed crust and vegan garlic herb crust, but it was still very thin and I didn't really sense the flavor crust at all (but it could've been me!). So appreciative for businesses that have vegan options, including desserts! May try the CBD knots next time. The only con was price. Ozona Pizza is a small local pizza shop with tons of vegan options in a small, cute little village area in Palm Harbor. The atmosphere is okay, it seemed a little crowded and not a lot of seating but still a good local shop. My first experience with Ozona Pizza was awesome. I ordered ahead of time and when I came to pick up my pizza, I was late because I got held up in work. The staff was really understanding and kind, even offering me free vegan cookies which was super nice of them. I had ordered a heart shaped pizza and garlic knots (vegan). Both items exceeded my expectations. They were soooo good, cookies included. I had no complaints at all. This is why I have to give a 3 star. My family was in town to visit this weekend from PA. We were so excited to bring them to Ozona as they had mentioned that they don't have vegan pizza up north in their area. When we ordered, we were told that they were out of carrots, broccoli, and CBD marinara that we asked for and they seemed irritated with us for asking for those items. Then proceeded to offer specialty pizzas that we weren't interested in. So we settled for a vegan deep dish with some other veggies. No biggie, it was Saturday so we were thinking maybe they were busy earlier in the day. We had waited for an hour an a half for our pizza. That is excessive, even for a busy evening although there were only 4 other people in and every now and again someone would show up for a pick up order. When we finally got the pizza at 9:30 PM, we were so hungry. When we attempted to pick a slice of pizza up, the entire topping came off completely. It was very soupy and the crust on the bottom was very soggy. It was not something we would ever pay money for and it just was not good at all. I was embarrassed to have taken my family to the establishment with staff that seemed snappy, an excessively long wait time, and not at all pleasurable pizza. The staff did not seem to really care about our experience. We made the decision to leave and go to another restaurant at that point. This experience was definitely different than my first time there. So I have to give a 3 star and maybe in the future I will try it again if I'm ever in the area, not a place I'll drive 45 minutes to again unfortunately. read more

We were looking for a restaurant that is gluten free as my wife is a celiac. We were pleased to see they had a good selection so we ordered the gluten free Hawaiian pizza, we ordered the 16" large ($25) so we could have leftovers. We were going to eat it there but they wanted almost $3 for a can of pop. When we got home and opened the pizza we were very shocked by how thin the crust was and it only measured out to only 13" and lacked toppings we called and they basically said they have been in business for a long time and we didn't like it go somewhere else . Been looking for this amazing pizza for over 30 years in Florida. This is by far the BEST pizza we have had. We have tried all of them, even the so called winners of the Bay. The service is great, the ambiance is perfect, quaint, and makes you feel like home where ever it may be since they have their family photos on the walls and under plexiglass on the tables. They have black and white photos of their family from Sicily. Games for children, foos ball, handmade chocolates, ice cream. I will be back with family to hang out. Finally was able to try Ozona Pizza for the 1st time this weekend. We went early to avoid any crowds and ended up being the only couple for a while. First off this place is a hoarders dream! So much stuff, To Much Stuff! It's so cute on the outside but inside with everything it feels claustrophobic! Lots of potential though! We ordered from the Vegan menu and noticed how pricey all the pies are and kinda wondered why this places looked like this with these prices. However The pizza was great and tasty but they do use prepackaged cheese, they do not make their own. The sauce was good an the crust was perfectly cooked! Plenty of toppings and way more they we could eat, so next time we will get a small! The Garlic Knots were Amazing and will get those every time! They also have a small selection of soda and beer and vegan cookies and desserts. After 1 order of Magic Knots and a Medium Cail Pizza, 2 cans of soda and a cookie it came to $56!! Wow little higher then expected and you definitely are not paying for the atmosphere! Pizza was good but the service was awful. I live down the street and they wanted to charge like $4 for delivery. So I went and picked it up. They didn't have change. Offered quarters instead of singles or to pay by card. I opted the card route. They didn't tell me there was a CC convenience charge until after I ran my card. When I got home the pizza was good. Please let me say that I wish I was writing a positive review for a locally owned company. However, after the terrible, horrific experience that my husband and I had over the weekend I would leave no stars if possible. The owner/wife of the owner was so rude to us that she basically ran us out of the restaurant (if you can even call it that) before we even ate any of the pizza and in the process scared away another couple that was waiting because of her lack of customer service to us in front of them. We try to support local businesses and went to the Ozona Pizza to try something different in the area. The location is small and seems more fit for carryout pizza in the area so they were extremely busy for the little staff on the Sunday afternoon. But that is no excuse for rude customer service we received. We waited for nearly 30 minutes for our salad and saw two other larger groups get their food and leave before I finally asked where my salad was while still waiting on the two pizzas we ordered. I was polite and let them know it was fine but that I was hungry. Then we waited another 15 minutes for our pizza. Finally when one of the pizzas came out we asked where the other one was simply because we felt they had missed/messed up our order since people that had come in after us had already ate and left. The woman (later found out she was one of the owners!) became so rude and disrespectful to us like we offended her by simply asking about our other pizza in a polite manner. After that another couple sitting near us decided to leave because of how unprofessional the server/owner was to us. Even after learning from the other couple that they wanted to leave she came back outside saying she was going to apologize but did nothing but make excuses and tell us if we wanted fast service we should go to Domino's. She tried to make excuses that she is sarcastic and she couldn't see our eyes because we had sunglasses on and this somehow justified her behavior. At that point i paid the bill (even though I do not believe I should have had to with such attitude) and as i was trying to box up the pizza we didn't eat she continued to berate me and my husband even out to the parking lot. It was traumatizing to say the least. I have never experienced something like it and I will definitely never go back nor will i suggest this location to anyone else. GO TO FIRESIDE PIZZA IN PALM HARBOR INSTEAD! We drove from St Pete to try this place because I keep hearing how good the vegan options are. It's worth mentioning that the prices are relatively high. We got a medium-sized salad, buffalo ranch knots, a small pizza and two waters, and the tab was $52. Lots of from-scratch ingredients, and the portions were very generous, so no complaints from me, but I can see some sticker shock happening if you don't know what you're getting into. The great news, though, is that the food is absolutely killer. The Sicilian salad and vegan meat lovers pizzas were very on point, but the vegan buffalo ranch knots were completely out of this world! If you are looking for quality ingredients, a diverse menu with gluten free and vegan options and don't mind paying a little extra- this is your place. It is a small place, mom and pop establishment. I prefer this to the big chains. We look forward to going back and trying more of the menu. We got 2 pies to go. A large 18 inch hand tossed plain cheese. The kids loved it. My oldest would have liked a little less sauce and a little more cheese. My wife and I ordered the Amelia. It's a white pizza and was flavorful and fresh. If you want fast and cheap, go elsewhere. To start off with I've been wanting to try this. I live in St Petersburg so we drove up to get it and the owner was super nice and made the pizza much faster than the estimated sixty minutes I was told after I placed the order online and paid. I ordered a gluten free vegan pizza twelve inch and the total came to 20 dollars. For a much larger size pizza that's pricey. I understand since it's a speciality pizza the price would be more but I don't think I would pay more than ten dollars for this pizza. I'm hesitant to write this review because I don't like being negative but I was sorely disappointed. The best part of the pizza was the sauce which was super tasty. The vegan cheese was not cooked completely so the texture was off. The crust was not to my liking. It was so hard I thought I was going to chip my tooth.
