I had a very disappointing experience with this business, and the customer service was extremely…read moreunprofessional. I scheduled an appointment for 6:00 p.m. through their online booking system, which requires you to select the specific service you need. On the day of my appointment, Chesley called and told me I had to arrive by 5:00 p.m. because my service would take two hours and the business closed at 7:00 p.m. When I asked why the scheduling system allows one-hour appointment blocks if certain services require two hours, she couldn't provide a reasonable explanation. I then asked which service she had listed for my appointment, and she named a completely different service that had nothing to do with the issue I was bringing in. Despite their scheduling error, I was told the only way I would be helped was if I arrived by 5:00 p.m. I left work early to accommodate their request and arrived at 5:05 p.m. after being delayed by heavy traffic on Route 50. When I arrived, Dennis was dismissive and unprofessional, telling me there were other customers ahead of me and that he would "get to me when he got to me." That raises an obvious question: What is the purpose of making an appointment? If appointments are not honored, customers should be told that upfront. This is especially frustrating when the service is expected to cost approximately $100--this was not a free community service. The entire experience demonstrated poor communication, inaccurate scheduling, and a lack of respect for customers' time. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this business based on my experience.

Recently we had reception problems and the online Direct TV service representative was unable to solve the problem and we were told that a service rep. could not come for 1 1/2 weeks + we needed a new control box ($100) and we needed a 2 year service contract (approximately $9.99/mo.) Faced with being without TV for 1 1/2 weeks I called COOK'S TV and Jen answered, consulted with service man, James, and immediately sugested resetting the Direct TV control box.
