Food is delicious, no complaints there. Floors and tables clean. However the salt and pepper shakers were sticky and dirty as was the napkin dispenser. The window sills and tops of the ducts under them appeared to be covered in dead bugs. Bathroom was not very clean; sink faucet was dirty, floor was wet and dirty. Wastebasket tiny for a public restroom. AC was so cold it made my food cold in minutes. So good food, but not very clean. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but what I witnessed today was so disturbing that I felt compelled to create an account in hopes that others think twice before coming here. I stopped in to grab some food, and one of the employees (a younger lady with circular glasses); who appeared to be a manager or in a higher position; was bossing the other staff around while sitting on her phone, giggling. Not once did I see her help or contribute in any way. Instead, she resorted to name-calling and, from what I could see, visibly upset another employee and left her emotionally shaken; all while continuing to giggle. If this is how someone treats their coworkers while customers are present, I can only imagine what goes on behind closed doors. I regret not recording the incident, as I was honestly in shock that it was happening. If I witness this behavior again, I will not hesitate to document it and share it publicly. If the owners are aware of this behavior and are choosing to ignore it, that is unacceptable. No one who allows this kind of treatment should be running a business. This was utterly distasteful and shameful. Do better. read more

Very bad customer service went today ordered 2 double cheeseburgers, and a large fry we watched our food sitting on the counter box open for 10 minute. The apparent owner asks the cook why the box wasn't closed and told her you have to close the box when order is complet. I then said to her it sat there 10 minutes and she proceeded to start yelling at me saying I yelled at the cook who is hearing impaired which I never did. I then asked to be refunded and she threw the food out and told us to get out it's private propert. The cops came and said they didn't have to refund us that we have to dispute charges or take them to court I have them on video throwing the food out. They basically robed me of $28 so please be careful folks! read more

5/5 for this cute little spot! I'm not sure why people were complaining so much in the other reviews but this place was just as I expected it to be. Is it spotless? No. Do you have overwhelmed staff working a busy little counter? Yes. That's to be expected. The food was amazing. Hot dogs are cooked perfectly and the fries were freshly cut and so delicious. Milkshakes take a bit to prepare but they were also really tasty and they have lots of flavors to choose from! They also have Perry's hard ice cream if you're a fan of that! read more

I love "dive" diners and Tony's is an original dive diners. We've been here before, the food is mediocre at best but it's really good mediocre food. I usually get the Texas Hotdog but today I tried something different so I went with the Fried Bologna and Onion Sandwich and Onion rings, the onion rings are crunchy but middle of the road. Ehhhhhh, they could take it off the menus and most likely no one would miss it. But when in town, check them out if Dives are your thing. read more

The food here is good. However, I often have issues ordering from their website (they do not allow call-in orders). Today, the ordering site would not load. I kept trying until it eventually did. Then it took forever to order my food because it was SLOW. By the time I got as able to place the order, it was 7:01 and it wouldn't go through. Kept trying and finally figured out the site said it closed- except it doesn't close until 8. I called and checked. The guy I talked to didn't care and just said "I don't know anything about the website". I'm mad that I had to wait in line to order and then wait for the food- if I was able to order the way I usually do, that wouldn't be the case. I have back issues and standing around irritates it. The girl at the counter was kinda rude. And because I couldn't order from the website, I had to add on all the condiments myself for everyone's food which added more time (normally I wouldn't). I've had good experiences here in the past, but my experience here today was just subpar. If this had been my first experience, I'd never come here again. read more

This was my first visit to Tony's, though is known to be a local favorite which has been in business for decades, if not longer. Our order was taken promptly, though we waited some 30 minutes before we asked for the status of our order. They stated that they had called our order number multiple times, though we didn't hear it. The place wasn't busy, so you'd think they'd reach us to us sitting at a table near by with no food. Two hot dogs, a large fry, and a small drink came to roughly $17. A little overpriced, IMO, but most restaurants have upped their prices these days. The hot dog was good, grilled and made just right. We had ordered a large fry, given a small fry, and too frustrated and annoyed to tell them they had given us the wrong one. I don't like sweet drinks, which is why I dry to avoid or dilute anytime one has loganberry. Fortunately, they diluted theirs so the Loganberry fountain drink was just to my liking, though definitely didn't taste like what comes from the bottled ones at the store.This is a good place to take your kids to, at least once, especially for the go karts next door. And after that, maybe a milkshake. And if you order food, I'd wait at the counter until you received your food. read more

Every summer, we make sure to stop at Tony's for some hot dogs and fries. Our recent visit was very disappointing. The hot dogs were charred on the outside and room temperature inside. The curly Q fries were fried potato fragments. The outside deck was in desperate need of painting and repair. The picnic tables were dirty and greasy, and the deck floor could have used a good sweeping. There was plenty of help, however three of the four employees were standing around talking to one another. So sad to see what a change in ownership has done to our beloved Tony's. read more

Let's start by calling it what it is....a hot dog stand. Such plain dealing joints are ubiquitous to the area. We chose this one as it had a paved parking area making it wheelchair friendly (though a good bump over the thresholds). Excellent local Sahlen's dogs with any fixins you choose (mustard, spicy mustard, catsup, sweet relish, spicy relish, pickles, sliced banana peppers, jalapeños, chopped onion, chili sauce). Very good onion rings and the large fries order was humongous. They also serve burgers and Italian sausage patty sandwiches. Nice outdoor dining area but we chose indoor for shade. Unfortunately, no A/C so it was a bit steamy, but 'Hey!' It's a hot dog stand. They also have an ice cream counter but we didn't need dessert. Closed in Indoor dining area has two arcade games and nicely painter murals of cute pigs. Otherwise, the enclosure itself needs to be updated/replaced. read more

First time ever there. It's not good. Dogs were overcooked. Ice cream cone was so small I was shocked and it was $3.75! The place is filthy. 4 workers. Not crowded. One person should have been cleaning instead of everyone standing around. I was hopeful and looking forward to my visit but I will never go back. Should have went across the street to the solid competitor. A real shame and waste of fifty bucks. read more

One day road trip from Cleveland to Niagara Falls. Stopped at Tony's Drive In for lunch. One of the few drive in restaurants left. It was like taking a step into the past. Truck side service. It only took 5 minutes for our food to come out. It was really good. Server was very nice. In this time of social distancing it was nice to do something "normal " for a change. Wife and I ordered a large taco and 4 piece chicken fingers for $21. I thought it was a little high for that little bit of food. The large taco was small has hell and lacked beef and taste. This place is mostly a 1950,s throwback dive in where it's best for probably a hamburger or hot dog. Menu seems very limited however the girls taken your order seem to honestly good job. I remember this establishment being called"Jim's" in the early 80's and always wanted to stop here but never did until today. read more

I pass this place going to work every day and I observed at one point their claim to approx 30 milkshake flavors (give or take). I was very excited and my friend and I went to check it out. Well their flavors are essentially just whatever ice cream flavors they have..... and honestly..... their shakes tasted like melted ice cream. They were soooooo watery it was pretty gross. This place had the worst food ever. Badly made bologna sandwich. It was so soggy and not fried up like it should be. Sweet potatoes fries were soggy and you barely got any. Two orders equaled the size of a typical order of one. Oh and don't get me started on the nachos. I got a cheap bag of stadium style nachos and a small thing of cheese. Great quick fairly cheap place to take the kids. Add in a round of mini golf or some go-kart action for a fun family friendly night. Son and I love their onion rings and my daughter loves the curly fries (loaded with vinegar from the spray bottles of course) Can't go home with out an ice cream to end the visit! read more
