Service was excellent. We were the only ones there. I had the Fried Chicken. I do not recommend it. The cook has no idea what chicken gravy is. Taste was awful. Breading overcooked. Green beans overcooked. The roll was good if I hadn't put on the rancid butter. My sister enjoyed her pasta so it wasn't a complete waste. We were the only diners there so there is no excuse. Not the most exciting location (inside a middling Holiday Inn) or modern decor, but I had a very helpful, friendly waitress. The beef filets, mashed potatoes, and green beans were actually pretty good, which I'll admit I wasn't expecting! read more

Decided to try the new Tony Romas in town. We got there at 4:50 and thought we might get in on the happy hour. We didn't even get acknowledged, let alone waited on until 5:10. The place was not busy so waiting 20 minutes was a little frustrating. There just wasn't any help. No one was even behind the bar for the first 10 minutes. We finally ordered. We ordered a bottle of wine. Fantastic price for the wine and the service picked up. We ordered salmon and brisket. Both were good. I was offered a choice of a different side with the brisket. I ordered a loaded baked potato. It was good but they forgot the coleslaw and no butter or sour cream. The waitress brought me some when I asked. All in all it was hit or miss. Some good, some Not so good. I really would like to see them succeed here but I think might be lacking in management and training. read more

We visited Tony Roma's in Great Falls, MT for Mother's Day for Lunch, all they offered was the buffet. It looked like a great spread BUT - always a But. The sweet potatoes were cold, the asparagus was over cooked and they left the uneatable part of the stem, I did not try the stuffed pork chops but they looked over cooked, the cold shrimp were very nice, the cheese on the au gratin potatoes was tough and cold, there was no au jus for the prime rib - it was a very tough slice of beef, the salad was standard out of the box salad mix, the deserts were the saving grace of this $40ea meal. It appears that everything was prepared the day before - there was nothing fresh in this buffet. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. There should have been a sign that says, We only offer a $40 buffet on Mothers Day, However, knowing the reputation of the motel manager I was not surprised BUT I was hoping the restaurant was not under his purview. This is the worst venue in Great Falls, to date. read more

We went today around 1:30 PM and thought it would be crowded since it opened a few days ago., It was not crowded,and after being sseated, we were told our server would be with us. We waited, and no server; I asked for a server and was told our server had left for the day. I have to say they did get us a server. I wanted the Brisket, they were out noticed several people being told of numerous food outages. I ordered the cheese burger and hubby ordered the half ribs, he doesn't eat fries but no other sides was offered, they could have offered a salad or extra coleslaw. Once the food arrived, there was absolutely no seasoning on anything. No salt on fries, no seasoning on burger, coleslaw tasted like coleslaw mix with mayo only. Very disappointed!!!! read more

Went to Romas after they had a chance to get pass new opening issues. The restaurant is a nice large space. No windows but we did not miss them. Nice place to seat and eat. Service was great friendly, speedy and helpful. Had the ribs. I love going to Romas when they were first in great falls. I found these ribs a little dry compared to ones in the past and they seemed to lack a thick coating of bbq sauce but I was able to ask for extra sauce that helped. I seem to remember the old place had bottles of extra sauce on the table and had unlimited amount Here it seemed that they were rationing it out. The ribs tasted good and I will be back but would hope they increase the amount of sauce they coat the rib with and add extra to boot. Nice addition to great falls! read more

Had good food and a great environment. They are still super new so it was good to see folks with smiles working. We know new restaurants can be hard upon opening. We just got apps and side salads and shared them on a best friend date. Our waitress Aryon was awesome. I'm a super clumsy person and managed to cut my finger buttering bread. Waited to be seated for a while, the server seating us was whispering. Spoke a lot & we didn't understand anything. ( empty restaurant mind you) After being seated we looked at the menu for a while finally our waiter approached us geeked up! bro took way to many rips of the penjamin! He was squatting to our eye level at the abnormally small table! My husband and I went the other day nov 5th. It wasn't good. My husband got a ribeye literally no seasoning or flavor. He didn't eat it, he ate my chicken plate instead. We waited over 45 minutes for our food. My soup never came until with my entree. Soup was horrible too, not homemade or any flavor tasted like a can soup. My husband worked all night at the refinery and I dragged him there to eat before he had to go back to work and it was a crap experience. Pretty hard to mess up a ribeye, so not sure if they are freezing the meat and no seasoning? Not sure but we weren't impressed at all. Service was also really lagging. Great Falls, MT. Service was great although only one waitress working the lunch crowd. The food however was a different story!!! I had the ribs which looked great but were so terribly dry. Customer service. If you don't have cash to take as a payment tell the customer before they get there on a to go order. Remember what the customer ordered. And when filling the order make sure you include everything that is supposed to be with the order. Such as green beans and cook your onions completely. They are not supposed to be soggy. If I was not out recovering from surgery I would have canceled the order but unfortunately at that time I could not cook. read more

Wings were bad. Dry and hard. Did not honor Tony Romas gift card. Tony Romas website says they do. Only Tony Romas restaurant that does not honor gift cards is in Iowa and says so on the Tony Romas website. Will never go back there and advise people to stay away. read more

Went last with wife. Ordered cheese fries as appetizer and I had brisket and wife had cheese burger. All arrived at same time, the brisket was tough dry and had tough thick fat attached dominating the meat. The cheese burger was just average. Total disappointment read more

Fail...waited an hour to be seated (which I expected). Went to place our orders and they were out of brisket and fried chicken. It took 45 minutes for the appetizer. At the 1 hour and 15 minute mark the waitress came and told us there was an issue with the BBQ chicken so we needed to pick something else. We decided to leave at that point and as we were paying for the appetizer the table who was sat 30 mins prior was getting their food delivered. They weren't packed but the wait staff was running around empty handed. Wouldn't recommend and won't be back -- another reason why restaurants here don't last. read more

When a restaurant touts ribs as its featured specialty, one should assume ordering them would be a safe bet for a decent meal. Not so, unfortunately. The baby back ribs I ordered were so tough that I could hardly get my steak knife to cut through them between the ribs. Chewing them was an even more difficult task. Good ribs should be fall-off-the bone and have a nice charred outer crust. These had bottled sauce flavor, at best, and no charring at all. I left most of my rack uneaten as it was just too difficult and unsatisfying. Will certainly not go back. I asked the waiter about it and he said they had had a lot of complaints about the ribs. The restaurant has been open several weeks - enough time to get the ribs figured out. read more
