Tonight, our server wasn't at all friendly and the drinks were mostly just crushed ice. You couldn't even taste the rum because they were all so watered down. For around $14-$18 a drink, I expect better. Their "zombie" drink was a joke. No flavor at all (it used to be good years ago). Sadly, this will be our last visit here. With so many cool bars in Vegas, I'd rather go to one that appreciates our business. This place no longer does and it showed so tonight. BTW, I read that a new large Tiki bar will be opening soon in Vegas so will try that one out once it does. Maybe The Golden Tiki will up its game and revert back to what they used to be once it opens (and there is more competition). Two stars because it used to be great. The sauce was so good and flavorful. For drinks I got the lychee bloom. From first sip, I was a huge fan. Sweet and didn't lack any lychee taste. The presentation was also beautiful. My husband ordered the Philosopher's rum which he really enjoyed. The bartender was also trying out a new recipe of a key lime cocktail which is one of my husbands favorites. He loved the cocktail so much he ordered a second. We already frequent Chinatown, but this will definitely be added to our regular rotation. Went up ready to order and the bartender asked where we were seated and said a waitress would come by and that we couldn't order with him. We sat, we waited 15-20 mins and no one came around. We waited long enough and decided it wasn't worth our money. If trying to get an order in was this difficult, can't imagine what the rest of the service is like.

It needs to be a greuyere or something else with a kick. The salad also was in need of seasoning. The ingredients were good quality but the dish was overall bland. The sliders were ok - the horseradish sauce was a welcome bit of flavor. For entrees we shared the blue cheese pork chop, the filet and the cacio y pepe pasta with sides of creamed corn and sweet potato tots. I ordered the pork chop medium and unfortunately it was served well done (and as a result very dry). The flavors were ok but the garlic mashed potatoes on the side were also extremely die. The filet and pasta were fine - north to write home about. The sweet potato tots were probably (and sadly) the highlight of the meal. Clearly homemade and very fresh and tasty. The creamed corn was way too loose and as a result lacked flavor. We finished with the dessert platter which presented each of the menu desserts but in a smaller portion. The only item I cared for was the apple bread pudding. The rest of the items weren't prepared properly. Because this is an independent locals place we really wanted to love it but I just can't recommend it for a dinner. Cocktails yes; food no. On the bright side the service is excellent. Our server Victor took great care of us and the food runners and bussers are awesome. Dinner for three came to $239 before tax and tip which included three glasses of wine and one cocktail. At one of the bars we randomly stopped at on the property before the show, one of the bartenders gave us a buy one get one free cocktail for VooDoo Lounge if we went. And there was no cover charge to get in! Sold! We decided to head up there after the show. This spot is locaed on the 51st (I believe) floor of the hotel but you enter on the second floor and take an elevator up. After a quick check our IDs and search of our bags and whatnot, we were able to take the elevators upstairs. As soon as we got there, I booked it for the outside patio. I mean, come on, you have to! This is really what sold me. WOW! It's STUNNING up there! Amazing views on the Strip unlike anything I've ever seen before. There was also a DJ up there and he was playing great music. For a Friday night, it wasn't super busy, but still really nice. We were able to sit wherever we wanted, as the tables and lounge seating was totally open for everyone to enjoy. We took in the beautiful views and each had a cocktail. Our server was outstanding and did a great job waiting on us. Sadly, we were getting a Vegas thunderstorm underway so the DJ had to stop and security all ushered us inside. Still, nonetheless, this was such a cool experience and one I'll continue to talk about. It was a Saturday night at 9pm, we were greeted by very friendly staff both downstairs and upstairs. We went out to the terrace to enjoy the view and took over a lounge seating space. The 3 of us ordered a fishbowl which was great but we didn't stay longer because the place was empty and the DJ played the same beat for the entire hour we were there. It's a shame that this has gone so downhill. When I went to the bathrooms I noticed the water damage on the walls and the lack of maintenance so it sealed my fate to not return for a while. This used to be the spot but it's a little scary anywhere in the casino.
