I found Dr. Chen during one of the most difficult times of my life…read more After a medical diagnosis, my nervous system seemed to go haywire, and I developed severe insomnia. At one point, I was unable to sleep at all. I was extremely averse to medication and initially refused any treatment. I found Dr. Chen and began acupuncture. I still wasn't sleeping, but after a few sessions, Dr. Chen gently advised me that I should consider taking medication. Because I trusted him, I listened. I took a short course of medication, and eventually I went back to sleeping like a baby. Dr. Chen was there throughout my entire period of suffering and healing, and I credit his expertise in acupuncture as an important part of my recovery. Before finding Dr. Chen, I had seen another acupuncturist who did absolutely nothing for me. The office was the definition of "Zen"--water sounds, beautiful scents, peaceful surroundings--and it cost a whole lot of money. And yet I was awake the entire time. Dr. Chen's office is the complete opposite. It is very no-frills, with bright lights and phones ringing. And somehow, every single time the needles are in, my body lets go. I enter what feels like a deep parasympathetic state and actually fall asleep or nap. Every. Single. Time. That, to me, says everything. You don't need a perfectly designed environment to relax when you are in the hands of someone whose expertise allows your body to feel safe. Dr. Chen was not only my acupuncturist during an incredibly difficult chapter; he was someone I trusted when I was scared and didn't know what to do. I am deeply grateful that I found him. I love him and his wife Jenny and refer everyone to them!

First Time and Great Results!…read more Hurt and shifted a disc in my lower spine. I was referred by a friend to CYY for a first time experience for Acupuncture. I tired compression braces, aleve, Icy hots, Solonpas patch's, yoga rollers, exercises and I kept re-injuring my lower back (3rd time). When I made my first visit I was on my 7th day of recovery and was not able to stand straight without a compression brace. Lower back was completely loosened after visit. 2nd visit I was able to move with full motion, no back brace. I stand all day and do mfg work so I highly recommend this place if you need to recover fast. Price was very affordable, since I spent about $125 at target for all the braces and medication. My lower back loosened up in one visit and I had a second to fully be able to twist. I feel I had a lot of pressure release with the acupuncture and cupping. You can feel the relief if you are hurting really bad. Highly recommended thank you CYY!

My ankle was up and ready in 4 days (: Came back after years because after a trip to the Grand Canyon I had accidentally sprained my right ankle due to a unstuffy rock :/ He uses herbs and special tonic oil to massage your limbs so blood flows upwards and your sprain heals quicker. He then wraps your ankle (if your ankle is the sprained section) with a herb wrap and it acts as a great cast too! To help elevate your sprained foot. Then he follows by giving you TCM herb meds to help blood flow better for sprained areas. Def a go to if I ever sprain my ankle.

I always had eczema growing up but very small patches that would come and go. But not until I got sick I went to Kaiser and they gave me some antibiotics and I was taking them almost every month for 3 months and then I started to get eczema all over my upper body. So I went to countless of dermatologist at Kaiser and 2 holistic doctors but of course Kaiser kept prescribing the same thing. Which was steroids whether it was pills or creams. I even took two to three shots of a biologic called adbry. I had it all over my chest to my arms and even my ears and scalp it was painful and oozing all the time I didn't know what to do to stop the oozing. I also had it on my face. I would not be able to shower every day and if I did it had to be quick and I needed help washing my hair. They took care of me a lot here I vouched 100% for the herbal medicine and their care. I took maybe about 4 to five boxes of it and almost after two months I was feeling sooo much better. Of course everyone's body is different, I learned so much about my body and what to do when it came to my diet and they answered all of my questions that I was curious about. I'm still not 100% healed but there is no more red inflamed skin covered on my arms and no more oozing! And now I'm able to slowly reintroduce the food I wasn't able to eat during treatment. I definitely recommend coming to ty wellness center for anyone dealing with tsw or eczema. And my prayers go out there to anyone going through this tough journey and hope it gets better because it will! I know at first you don't see results right away but they start coming a little day by day.The herbal medicine is what helped me the most! Even though it was kinda pricey I thought it was worth my health. I only got up to 3 sessions of acupuncture which was pretty relaxing too.

I first went to see him at the end of 2016, I had migraines that were no joke. I'd be vomiting every time I had an episode, and I had no relief from any of the Western doctors or tests I'd tried. Dr. Zhao's acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine were a game changer. After four months of treatment, my back pain was completely gone, and I only had one migraine before my period, which is a total win. Fast forward to the beginning of this year, and my husband and I had been trying to conceive for over 1.5 years with no success. We were both tested and everything fine, even the ovulation-inducing meds our OB/GYN prescribed didn't work, my on is going to refer us to the reproductive center. We turned to Dr. Zhao again. After two months of acupuncture and medicine, we finally got the news we were waiting for. I'm pregnant, and it's all thanks to Dr. Zhao! I already had a blood test, and the result was positive. Dr. Zhao is amazing, and I'm so grateful for his help! And the staff Morgan is also super nice and helpful!

My western doctors had never been able to find anything in blood tests, and my case fell under "unexplained". Even some symptoms I wasn't there to treat, like digestion and stuffy nose, got cleared up too. At that point I was already thrilled and the fertility almost became a secondary goal. Dr Xie said it would take 3-6 months to work, and it took exactly 6 months for me. I can't recommend Del Mar Health enough.
