Store owner chooses great unique records. He's also just a really cool guy. You can test whatever record you want so you know if you want to buy it. Small store, feels like you're in your buddy's place in a good way. Feels chill. He has $2 bins for older, or slightly imperfect records. Worth a look. Definitely will come back. Great for a record collector. He doesn't sell very many new records, mostly classics. Tell your friends there's a cool record store tucked in somewhere near the Guadalajara Grill. Such a cool spot! Parking is easy in the lot behind the building and the door to Tone Army is in the walkway from the parking to the main road. We had fun exploring this small, yet well stocked, store. We left with a few new (to us) albums. Most of our vinyl we got from my parents' collection, so largely classical, jazz, blues, and folk... which I love although fun to start filling in with our additional finds. This cozy little record store is really great. It has a great selection of records to choose from. We were there for about 40 minutes and my husband found 5 records to add to his collection. The prices were about the same as other record stores we have visited. The space is small but feels comfy. We will visit them again next time we are in Concord. read more

I was tooling around on Google Maps, and by accident, I found this record store. After work today, I planned on swinging by to check it out and sell a few LPs from my collection. I met Sesh, the proprietor of this shop. He is a kind and welcoming guy who looked excited to see what I brought him. Sesh was juggling my sale and an inquisitive customer's requests, questions, and purchase with ease. Sesh gave my humble stack of records a thoughtful look-through and made me what I felt was a fair and honest offer. I was thrilled. I had gone to another shop a few days before, and they gave me a really crappy quote. Worse than that, you could tell they hardly looked over what I brought them. Sesh blew them out of the water. The store itself is quaint--in a good way. The smaller floor plan gave me and Sesh a chance to shoot the breeze while I was browsing. As I was flipping through, it was pretty clear to me that he wasn't just taking in everything and slamming it into the bins. He had a pretty tightly curated and organized inventory. The racks had a large breadth of genres and a wide variety of albums within. Hardly any repeats. I'd say 90-95% of his stock was preowned. There were probably a dozen milk crates of records that recently came in and needed to be sorted (my favorite stack to look through). Talking to Sesh, it was easy to feel his passion for music and physical media. The pride he has for his shop and what he has created is lovely to see. Sesh is just a delight; he is a humble, kind, and honest human being. TLDR: Lovely smaller shop, a curated selection with variety, fair prices, and honest offers. The owner, Sesh, is a gem. I went in for the first time a couple of months ago. I decided to start collecting vinyl again. My son told me about the place and I've gone back maybe 5 more times. Every time I find another hidden gem. I look very forward to many more visits and purchases. The owner Sesh is a very friendly guy who I look forward to chatting with when I go back. It is definitely a solid ten as his selection of vinyl is much to my liking. It is also convenient to where I live. If you live further away it's worth the trip. read more

Great little record store! Found this store via a search on Yelp looking for another vinyl shop. It's less then a 5 minute drive from my house and I had never heard of it...what a find! It's a small store with a focus on rock/classic rock and earlier pop/top 40. They do have a smaller soul section as well. Prices are good, maybe a little higher then you would see at Rasputins/Amoeba but the quality/condition of the records is excellent. Here is what I picked up from my first visit to give you a sample of what you can find... Sex Pistols, Missing Persons, Santana, War, Eagles, Madness, Beach Boys, Billy Joel and Luther Vandross. I've played all these front/back and the condition of these records is outstanding. Covers and inserts are in great condition as well. Since the store is small I think the owner does a good job of only stocking high interest records, even in the "value bin" I didn't see much junk like the other stores. The owner is great; friendly and knowledgable. Do yourself a favor and give this store a try, I think you'll be impressed with the selection. read more

Omg.I went in there a month ago to pick up a kiss vinyl and for one it looked like a fake or something but when i purchased it he onky accepted cash with no recept.a handshake deal..Well there was anotger Kiss album i wanted so i thought mabe he would want to trade the exact album for the new one i wznt.He said sure come on down and we will do a straight trade.lol.well he said i wpuld have to sell my old copy back to him and pay more than half tbe diffrence..i didnt have the money.but...that saved me because the vinyl i wanted was pretty beat up.He was also sellimg a vinyl with wrong record inside.dont trust this clown.he wasted my time and his stuff stinks.hes a scammet.buyer beware ..he could sell a record for cash and no recept but not. Awesome little store! Hand sanitizer available up front. Came in looking for some cassette tapes, was able to leave with a few. Lots of records to choose from, had a couple rare ones up on the wall.
