Good evening Tom's Taxi, Here on Kensington Park in Lynn we try to go to bed at a decent hour to get to work. We also try to sleep in on Weekends. However, your boisterous way of alerting your clients that you have arrived is really becoming problematic and it polluted our environment overall. I have tried to address your drivers directly about this as there isn't a better time to have conflict with a taxi driver than on a Sunday morning at 6am because they are honking the horn incessantly while the patron is already in front of their car/van. I turn to this method of social media to alert your management and my community about your behaviors, since talking to you directly and diplomatically has not been successful so far. So far Tom's has been my go to Taxi to get from Lynn to Logan Airport. I schedule wicked early pickups and they are always on time. It's been a perfect streak. Icing on the cake, I called tonight (Christmas Eve!) and was greeted by a very friendly gentleman who took my info and wished me a Merry Christmas. One star demerit for having older Crown Vic taxis and not taking credit cards. read more

This taxi service is horrible!!! My daughter missed her bus on December 27, 2012 so she called TOM'S TAXI LYNN, MA to avoid being late for work. It is in walking distance but it was heavy rain on the day in question... Her job is 3.59 miles away and only 6minutes driving distance and she was charged ~~~~ $18.00 ~~~~ for a 6 minute taxi ride!!!! read more

I cannot describe how awful an experience I had with this company. We called for a taxi after attending a Halloween party and was picked up shortly after 2:30a.m. To my horror later that morning (6 a.m.) I realized that I had left my iPhone in the cab because I had to set it down as the seat belt wasn't working well and I was struggling to get it to stretch out to go around me (I am thin) to buckle it. The cab driver was young and he had a friend with him in the front seat. I thought this was weird.If I were alone, being a woman, I would not have wanted to get into a cab with two men, I would have felt uneasy and perhaps unsafe. I know for fact that drivers aren't supposed to have a friend riding along just for the hell of it. Nonetheless, the driver was friendly and all seemed fine. My husband tipped the driver 100% Not 20 or 30, 100% I called immediately in the later morning to report that my iPhone was in the cab. The man that answered was clearly annoyed and was only half listening to me. He gave me a huge run around saying that the kid that had worked wasn't there, that he'd be in later that day. He also said that the cab was not being driven by anyone else that the driver had brought it home. I kept calling throughout the day and miraculously the cab was actually there and had been checked and the phone was not there. Hmm, really? Well when I checked my phone records, Sprint confirmed that my phone was used within 6 minutes after we exited the cab. Now, I live in Swampscott and there is no freaking way at that hour of the morning, the driver would have picked up another passenger that quickly where that person could have got hold of my phone and start using it??? Since the streets of Swampscott roll up for the evening at 10p.m.....I HIGHLY DOUBT IT!!! I was so devastated that my iPhone was gone. All my children's pictures and videos that can never be replaced and they weren't backed up, gone. I have been in tears over this and I know that they must have it since it was used so quickly after we exited the taxi and there were charge calls made, etc, all in the wee hours of the morning. I have never been more disgusted. What a horrible thing to do to someone and every call I made to the company (and I made a lot), I talked to SEVERAL people in charge and they were all so unhelpful and down right rude. I just hope that what goes around, comes around and I hope Karma is a psycho bitch! BEWARE of this company and if you do use them, make sure you hold on tight to your valuables.... P.S. I'm not going to go into detail but let me just say I decided to try this place because I needed a cab quick and this company had 2 good reviews. I called and got a rude, impatient man who treated me like I was annoying him; wish I caught his name. I would have hung up and found another company had I not been short on time. The cab arrived around the time I requested and thank God my driver was friendly; that was a relief. The only reason I am giving this company two stars instead of one is because of the driver (wish I had gotten his name, too). I will not be calling this company again because I never want to speak to that rude man again. This is the WORST taxi service ever!!!! I live on the Lynn/Saugus boarded asked to be taken to the Walnut St plaza (which from my house is a 4 minute drive). At first the driver didn't know where he was going & I had to give him dirrections. Then had to call & ask for a price & it came out to $18!!! Of course I was upset a 4 minute car ride was $18. I called a manger & was told that since I lived in Lynn, a ride going to Saugus had a flat rate of $18. I should've been told in the beginning. NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN!! read more

The cars are dirty and many drivers have a limited grasp of the English language but what I really hate is the drivers usually have a friend or family member riding with them, which makes me nervous. I also have a problem with being picked up and the cab also picks u other passengers at a different address. I am forced to cram into the vehicle with 2-4 other people going to the opposite side of the city. The driver does not use the meter when he crams the cab & charges whatever he wants I can't believe this is legal. read more

They are an ok 3 star taxi service. Their cabs arent new but still acceptable. They arrived in less than 5 minutes to pick me up. The reason I gave it an extra star to 4 stars was because I got a very friendly older cab driver who made my drive much more pleasant. So overall I would recommend them. read more

Run. Hide Do Not use this business. Nope. Don't do it. I live in San Francisco and ride in cabs daily. Pay the exrta cash and get Uber. Why? Because, like in all things life, you get what you pay for. OK, so our pick up driver was great. Arrived on time. Reasonable price. Room and seat belts for all 6 passengers. When we called for a return pick up we specifically said we had 6 people. The lady shows up in a minivan for 6 passengers but she already has a visibly intoxicated person in the front seat ( our 6th seat) who appears to be her friend who keeps her company on her night pick ups. So we had one person who had to sit on the floor of the minivan without a seatbelt so her friend can ride along - even though we were paying for 6 seats. if it had not been 19 degrees outside we wold have walked. Then she charged us $4 more than cabbie (same company) charged us to go to the same place. Complaining to the cab company was useless. Their foreign culture favors their family employees who deliver poor and rude service . I shared my experience with a Mass State Trooper who was on duty at our event and he said the cabs in the Lynn-Swampscot area are owned by affiliates who care less for their fares. He recommended Uber "because at least they care". Sad that a union employee (cop) recommends a non-union biz (Uber) cuz he knows he knows how local cabbies suck big time. read more

A family member of mine has a daily taxi drive to the hospital. Today my mother told me to call the taxi company to reschedule the pick up to 3:30 instead of 2:30. The man on the phone asked for my address and I told him. He said the address wrong so I politely corrected him and he gave me the RUDEST reply. This is the most over priced taxi in Lynn, the drivers drive slow on purpose and the dispatcher is very rude and have no manners, taxi 43 has a broken meter and they continue to send it to various locations to make extra money, I was a toms costumer for over 5 years and I'll be the first to let you know their service sucks!
