Awesome local place for haircuts This place is run by a husband and wife team, they are good at what they do. Usually go in every other week to get a "0" razor cut all the way around and only for $14 , they also have this vibrating neck and head machine that they use after they are done with your cut, it relaxes you big time! I started going to Tom's Barber back in the 1990s when I happened upon the place while waiting for an order of uniforms from the soccer shop down the strip mall from them. I was able to get in there and get a quick and professional haircut in short order and enjoy the massage I got in the bargain. I've been going back ever since. Some other writers complain about the language barrier but having gone there many times I know that over time, Tom and his wife warm up and are quite chatty. It's a great, locally-owned barber shop that cares about getting you in the chair, getting your hair cut right and getting you out. This wife-husband duo is amiable and friendly, but not overly chatty. They'll use a razor to the back of your neck too, which I always appreciate. This shop is owned by a mom and pop. I get my haircut by Mimi. She does amazing work and she have helped me change my hairstyle several times. She takes her time and notice that she takes pride in her work. The only issue is that she's always booked up and I can't even be mad due to her great skills. The shop is very clean and well kept. Everyone that works there are very friendly happy and well respected in this area. I've noticed that people travel to come here and wait to get a haircut. I always recommend people here and will continue to do so. Great people and amazing haircuts always. Not one time have I had a bad experience here. Check out this place! Worst barber shop I've ever brought my 4 year old son too. Asked for simple fade and 30 minutes into haircut, barber still was shaving my sons head in one spot on the back. Next he proceeded to take clippers to the top and I said 'no, we are done here'. My sons hair had no fade shaved bald on sides and back and was uneven all the way around the top. So we left. Here's the best part. I left my sons jacket in the shop so I had to go back in. The female hairdresser told me I was rude and had to leave to which I responded 'I left my sons jacket in here' the male barber started swearing at me dropping f bombs asking me what I wanted to do? I said we could step outside. Luckily there was a woman there that told me it wasn't worth it (and she was right) so I eventually left even though I wanted to do more. But, I was with my son and she was correct, it was not worth it. My sons hair was a mess. Went to another barbershop where they asked 'what happened'?? Long story short, they fixed it. I would stay away from Toms. I apologize to the patrons that were in there during this incident. I should have, too, handled myself better and not allowed the employees to get to me. It's run by a guy named Chi Baum, they are a Vietnamese family. He is well-regarded by people who have used him. I've been going here since I moved into the neighborhood. I took my son here 20 years ago for his first haircut. They know you--you just go in there and you don't need to have a talk. They get it right, detailed exactly the way you want it. If more people knew about it, I think more people would be going there. read more

Don't let the old lady at the end cut your hair. She seems in a hurry and she cannot fade a haircut at all. It took her almost 40 minutes to cut my hair, after correcting her several times. A military haircut can't be hard but some reason this lady could not do it. The older male barber is much better on fading a haircut. Not coming back to this place again. read more
